Why wouldn't she just ask if he wants to take care of the child? If he does, she can make it clear that she wants nothing to do with it. If he doesn't want to take care of the child or doesn't want to do so alone, they can agree to give it up for adoption. The only reason for this is pure pettiness

The normal work year is about 260 days excluding holidays and vacations. If a business risks losing 36 days/year (or about 14%), then it would make very much sense to prioritize hiring men. Wouldn't any company with such policies prefer hiring men, which completely takes away from the whole 'equality' factor? If you start paying people of the same gender the same for less work, it would be a really bad business move to hire people of that gender Edit: in case of an economic downturn or just bad times for a business, they would likely also fire the people who, again, cost the same but do less work.

I feel like the requirement that women have for equal-or-higher salary is exclusive to them. I don't think I have heard a man say he has the same requirement. Obviously, a lot of men wouldn't want to date a homeless junkie, and neither would a lot of women, but it seems like a double standard, that women want someone higher earning (or equal, but its practically impossible for the people in all relationships to have the same income), but can't accept someone with a lower one. Which subreddits? I haven't really gotten banned anywhere (except for r/facepalm, ironically) and I'm in a lot of "anti" Reddit subreddits. Maybe it's because I'm a member of r/communism and that cancels it out (I'm not a communist but quite the opposite)

Agreed, that's definitely wrong. As I said, I didn't actively partake in the subreddit, and when I did look, I didn't see stuff like that. Either those types of posts were removed by the time I looked, or I just missed them.

I assume you're living in America. To be honest, suing might be silly but also a valuable lesson for the police officers. They shouldn't have put you in cuffs, and especially in front of such a young child. Feminism is about women's rights. First and second-wave feminism happened to also get women closer to equal rights, but it was never about equal rights and has always been about women's rights. That would be fine if women lacked any rights that men have.

If feminism was about equality, wouldn't they call themselves equalitarians? Feminism is only about women's rights and that's what a lot of feminists get wrong.
