The person I replied to made the broad statement that ‘boys and girls are completely different and putting them into 1 group ruins it’s’ that’s a crazy thing to say, and suggests that they probably have a problem with women and/or need to socialize with them some more. Which coed groups will help. You can believe that there is a need for safe spaces and gendered spaces, that doesn’t mean every space must be one. OP even says that coed Scouts still has separated troops, it’s only at large gatheri…

Ok dude, maybe recognize that saying ‘putting men and women together ruins it’ is a huge problem, and in fact more coed interactions would go a long way to improve that.

Maybe you just suck if having a woman around ruins a group. That sounds like a problem you should work on. This is why group socialization is important because commonly men and women socialize separately (having the men’s only group you desperately crave) within their friend groups and don’t cross over. Getting together over shared interests like scouts sounds like a great time, and you still get to have boys only troops.

I’m not debating the existence of safe spaces or gendered spaces. There’s merit for them, particularly for adults. When it comes to kids, everyone should be able to have a scouts experience and children socializing with people of another gender is very valuable. The troops are still seperate, there’s just now some coed group events. There’s nothing inherently male about Scouts, you are still free to have your men’s groups and events.

Oh no, interacting with girls occasionally. So scary.

If there are no mixed gender troops what's your actual problem, nothing has changed for you it's just that girls can now have the experience you get.

Dumbass, Peter is totally on board with the hypnosis it means he gets to please his wife without having to put in the work or think about it. He was receptive in the scene with the therapist, even after previously wanting to leave. Sure Lois overuses it which is par for the course on Family Guy but honestly, Peter would see how much he benefits from it, like the golfing.

There are a lot of issues with that relationship, but from an outside perspective we cant really say that much and it would also be dumb to place it all on Jada. (Though she has plenty of issues on her own)

I think an acceptable line is that abortions should be legal up until the fetus could survive outside the womb, which I believe is around 24 weeks. I cannot support any law that restricts or complicates beyond that line, even as a 'revenge' tactic because men can't get a 'paper abortion'. It's a bad argument to withhold rights earned by another because you are also pushing for your own.

I love women's soccer, it's seriously good. It's my speculation that women compensate for perceived weakness by playing more aggressively (which is fun to watch) and because they're not as strong they can't kick the ball away as far and so they have to get into closer plays more often. (Also fun to watch)

The issue lies in the massive speculation in the comments. It's a fucked scenario that requires adults to talk to each other like basically every AITA post but the comments circlejerk about how the husband must be getting this job only because he'll be a spy into OPs company.

The comments are actually pretty good. The people who think the dad's at fault aren't saying he's wrong because men shouldn't wear dresses but that the dad should have made the executive decision to not let him wear one as the kid couldn't have understood all of the social ramifications of doing so. From the reading it sounds like the kid made a little decision with not a lot of thought so the dad should have waited to have a discussion with him about the situation and what the kid wanted to do …

Yeah, we should be able to laugh at these jokes the problem is that if things were swapped there would be major backlash.

I think she should have just said "It's not you, I just don't accept drinks I didn't see being made" and that's a fair policy to have. I also understand his reaction.

I don't think either of them are really in the wrong, the whole situation could have been handled better. She could have been kind in her refusal of the drink and he could have been a bit more understanding.

The Women's restroom doesn't have a lock because it can serve more than one person (2 toilets likely), the 'Men's' Restroom by law cannot because it has a urinal and a toilet and so it locks. It sucks but it's not really new.

The Blake Griffin story is an extreme one. You must consider the majority of current situations. Certainly, most instances of Child Support are not large enough to pay for a house. While I don't like Child Support, the issue is filled with grey areas.
/r/MensRights03/08/18 05:27 AM

But you should understand that not all things that go to help the child are only for the child. House, food, and so much more. It could even be argued that spending money on the parent will, in return, help the child (Transportation for Parent working, being happier through entertainment, etc.).

Whether the guy was an MRA or not means nothing. Every group has some shitty people and are not representative of the group as a whole.

They may not be able to do everything expected of two parents but it should be acknowledged that they have two pairs of shoes to fill. Parents who do their damndest to fulfill those two roles should still be honored for it even if they fall short.

She says that she talked with lawyers but I don't know if anything came of it. I've read her story, the only thing she could get him in trouble for is sexual assault but that seems difficult to prove.
/r/MensRights17/06/18 03:45 AM

"Let him sexually assault me" doesn't necessarily mean the whole thing was consensual. He could still have been forceful and she didn't aggressively attempt to prevent the encounter to avoid escalating the situation further.

Parents who take on both roles should get double the credit but you should recognize that certain days or events aren't for you.

I was in my apartment. And one of the fixtures in the apartment was a post that runs floor to ceiling and a banister runs out of that. And the post became my friend. I would hug the post. I would hug the post for all it was worth because I was getting some kind of feedback physically. It was at that point I realized I have got to do something because when you get to the place where you need to hug a post to feel something that you need, that's - if that's not a wake-up call, nothing is.

I'm under the impression that this would be "Social Suicide" but I hope it works out. If your school works anything like mine you need a teacher to be the "club manager" and to get sufficient signatures to prove that there is a need for the club.

I have so many feelings after reading this. I can't imagine what would possess a person to push someone towards suicide. This man needed help and all she did was make it worse. Does anyone know if charges have been filed? I want to see her in prison.

An action as abhorrent as this deserves the most severe consequences. Regardless of the perpetrator or the victim, to disfigure someone by pouring acid on them is the most extreme form of torture. No one deserves to go through this, and I hope that this man receives the justice he deserves. No matter how down I get; I could never imagine doing this to another human being. If anyone knows of a Fund that is being set up for him or others, please tell me so that I can donate.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
