Because we don't pay them? Those we tax are the consumer either directly or indirectly. If we tax businesses, the prices goes up and that affect the consumer. Or we tax the consumer outright. That's not how economics works. We have robots today and we don't tax them, the tax falls upon the consumer either way. Same thing with taxing the rich, those who will suffer the most is the majority which isn't. Humans solely bears the burden of paying taxes. The benefits of robots however is that the products made become much cheaper and make the society richer.
