Great read. Now do: You’ve been married 30+ years and she treats you like the couch with a “Dead bedroom”

Sad part is that’s entirely preventable. The reward for being a loving, faithful, protector, and provider is to be ignored. To be taken for granted. Menopause is HELL for most women but that doesn’t mean that a men’s need change. We desire intimacy, closeness, attention. Most, not all, women think that when “their” desire goes away due to hormone changes that’s the end of intimacy. NOT FOR MEN!!! The opposite of love is indifference.

Just my opinion but the hard facts (coming from a guy that had wife #1 cheat as well). You’re overcompensating. Some things in a great way; gym, appearance, etc. Less helpful ways; spending $ like there’s no tomorrow… Partners cheat, no matter how you look. You mentioned “she held me back”. Do you know why? Because you gave away your control. Take control of your: life, finances, health, and self-esteem. You’ll be happier moving forward. Good luck

Sounds like you still need to work through some things. I’ve been there, but honestly, you’re still harboring anger/resentment that doesn’t help you or your kids. The easiest way to look at things that helped me was to establish boundaries or limits without emotion. This allows you to go from “emotional” thinking to “logical” thinking. You don’t have to do anything other than say “NO”. The only way to heal and move forward is to let all the anger and hurt go.

You love the person “she pretended to be”. Now you’re seeing who she actually is. Time to move on. If the person you’re with doesn’t respect you or makes you better you’re wasting time, money, love, and sanity.

Depending on where you are: 1) Volunteer-A couple of hours a week mean a lot. Meals-on-wheels, Habitat for Humanity, whatever 2) Sports leagues- There’s always something going on, bowling, volleyball, basketball. Great places to meet folks and have fun 3) Farmers Markets- Most have them on Saturday mornings 4) Church-if so inclined. Many have Adult groups

Get a FHA loan. Requires 3% down, in your example: $2,000,000 X .03 = $60K. After you get tenants and rent coming in (I.e. cash flow) you can a) Hire a friend or your kid to manage the property and pay them (tax deductible) b) form a LLC and put the property under the LLC.

Hey Man. If you’re in the USA and have health insurance, go to the website and look for “Wellness”. Many health plans have free or very discounted gym memberships.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
