Tackle men when they are young. My seething anger when I first saw this in a shopping centre made other customers nervous. I was unprepared, and as such I let my emotions dampen other people's day. Still, though, what can I do about it? | /r/MensRights | 08/06/16 07:39 AM

The difference between sexual empowerment and sexual objectification.I wouldn't mind. I play for the triumph, so the appearance of my character matters little. But I can see why that might get annoying. | /r/MensRights | 11/05/15 03:17 AM
The difference between sexual empowerment and sexual objectification.I've no doubt that some will, but is it enough to get into an uproar about? I think the proportion of men who develop sexist attitudes towards women from these media will be the same as women who feel objectified by it. Or would be, if there wasn't such hyper-vigilance to potential sexism. | /r/MensRights | 11/05/15 03:08 AM

The difference between sexual empowerment and sexual objectification. You're right. I do agree that it is objectification, but harmless. I know very little about the minds of girls and women, but I think that if they watch something designed to appeal to boys, then they should understand that it's not realistic, and therefore not let it affect them too deeply. Either they are objectifying themselves by consuming such things, or they're empowering themselves by consuming them of their own free will. | /r/MensRights | 11/05/15 02:31 AM
The difference between sexual empowerment and sexual objectification. That makes sense, for video games, because there is a female agent affected by the objectification. But what agent is affected by a scantily clad anime character? Or an action figure? | /r/MensRights | 11/05/15 02:00 AM
The difference between sexual empowerment and sexual objectification.I can't understand the problem with sexually objectifying female shaped objects, like pictures or figurines. They ARE objects. The only issue I see is when a few people (very few, I'd wager) apply that thought to all females, whether real or not. | /r/MensRights | 11/05/15 01:28 AM

Does no one else see why this is disgusting to have in a school?Wouldn't zero tolerance policies make self defence dangerous? You now are trained in defending yourself, so bullies provoke you to defend, you both get in trouble, but you more so, because you've had training. I see your point, but you're using logic against the illogical, an exercise in futility. | /r/MensRights | 11/12/14 11:40 AM

Actor Shia LaBeouf reveals a woman raped him on Valentine's Day during his art show. Sparks debate on male rape by women.I don't know him. I don't know his mind. There could be a legitimate reason for doing nothing. There's not much to be determined from the evidence available. He may or may not have been thinking about those things at the time. From outside looking in they are obvious concerns. I won't try to speak to his thoughts. | /r/MensRights | 29/11/14 06:40 AM
Actor Shia LaBeouf reveals a woman raped him on Valentine's Day during his art show. Sparks debate on male rape by women.I don't know much about the guy, but from this article, I would say that he's dedicated to his art. He stayed silent for the piece, because his life wasn't in danger. The situation is all kinds of fucked up. | /r/MensRights | 28/11/14 01:28 AM
