I've already worked 60 hours this week and I still have a full day tomorrow and Saturday. I work in a dangerous and dirty environment yet I find it very fullfilling. I'm sorry but I have no sympathy for anyone who thinks 34hrs a week is a lot. If they want to make more money they should put on a pair of steel toes and be ready to sling rebar and concrete all day everyday.
