I’m 6’4” and if I had a dollar for every below average height guy who has beat me out for a woman (hint - they love guys who can make consistent eye contact at their level) I would be retired to a palace on an ocean cliff The average woman is 5’4” in France. You are perfect size for them. I’m incompatible size in most of their eyes. The height thing is way, way, way overplayed. It’s a disadvantage with most women. There’s a few tall chasers out there.

That’s a solid idea that makes me think. Maybe a pathway to some younger prospects. I’m pretty solid with women once I get a small foot in the door.

Ding ding ding! It's the social proof. I used to be good at picking up girls at frat parties like the OP when I was shite at doing it any other way. Once I got out of college I got better at other methods but the lack of social proof made clubs and bars harder than house parties. Now in my 40s, I can crush it at online dating but that's all, because I can't find a wing my own age in my new city and I can just feel the negative social proof on myself as the one guy out solo.

I have been approaching for 20 years (with a huge gap in there from a marriage and another LTR) and can count the dates or other positive outcomes I have gotten from it on a single hand. The vast majority of women are already attached and not available. Online filters it down to women who are single and looking which is the biggest time suck in cold approach. I need at least 10 approaches for one date assuming perfect game, because 90% are dead on arrival. I also get absolutely zero approach ind…

Unpopular opinion for this sub, but online dating is vastly easier and higher % than cold approaching. Just my experience going back to the mASF days. I have hundreds of quality matches almost anywhere I go in a matter of a couple days and can convert those into dates and success. Couldn’t dream of that from approaching. Cold approaches for me feel like that guy who hikes up the mountain all day for one run instead of taking the chairlift of Bumble

The best drinks date is if you can find the sort of place that has lots of couches, maybe a pool table or a few board games. You need to create opportunities to flirt and touch. Games can take pressure off lulls in conversation. Plus that living room environment feels like a relationship setting.

Step 1 is wildly underrated My dating life fell off a cliff when I moved cities and became full time remote at work. I'm old school going back as far as the mASF days and used to do well and now I struggle for lack of prospects. I can go weeks without encountering anyone to approach at all, and almost everyone I do talk to is married. I make piles of money and live in my dream spot on the ocean but a lot of times I think I would be happier bartending or doing some other job that puts me in situa…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
