Yes, people can change their attitudes, values, and behaviours over time. People who describe personality as some immutable thing are just making excuses, imo.

I mean, they are right that the dating market is unfair and very superficial. Yeah they should accept reality and respect people's choices, but there are valid criticisms about beauty standards, gender roles, etc. in dating. And if someone complains about not being able to find anyone, what is wrong with suggesting they reconsider how strict they are with their preferences?

People can't vent about how certain traits outside their control make them largely undesirable? You keep emphasizing how "valid" it is to have superficial preferences - are people arguing that it should be outlawed or something? I just don't see the issue.

lol what even is this argument? Some preferences are shallow af, even if you have every right to have them.

I feel like that attitude may also be influenced by having more responsibilities in adulthood. It's difficult to find the time and energy to socialize and date if you are wageslaving 40 hours each week.

I mean, yeah. Claims like "all women have to do to find a boyfriend is exist" are absurd for the same reason.

I'm curious how having multiple orgasms feels so I'd probably masturbate a lot. I'd focus on my career from an early age and if lucky, stumble into a lesbian relationship.

Assuming it is otherwise a loving, mutually supportive relationship, I'd just masturbate to meet my needs. I don't understand the appeal of multiple sexual partners.

Hard disagree. There's significant risk of STDs and from what I've read anecdotally, losing your virginity in this way makes for a rather unfulfilling experience. There's also the fact that, in North America at least, prostitution is rife with human trafficking, coercion by pimps, etc. Even if it were legalized and regulated, I personally wouldn't find it worth it.

This. And I understand there are some troubling trends among men, but all men being "equally as likely to treat you poorly" is such an absurd assertion.

I see, I'm sorry you had to go through that. I'm glad you recognized it and ended things.

If you don't mind sharing, when did he start to show red flags?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
