I asked the doctor at the birth of our son if there were any benefits to doing it/not doing it. She responded with she's not allowed to say and it's up to me. I live in the US. I paid this lady to not do her fucking job, instead leaving the sole responsibility on me and Google. I chose not to do it, worst case scenario he wants it done later and I will pay for it. I wish I was given that choice as well, I also refused to pierce my daughters ears as a baby. The my body my choice thing really need…

UPDATE - Called and she hands the phone to my daughter. No mention of what I texted or the missed calls. My daughter mentioned that even until we go to court (why a six year old knows about this is concerning to say the least). She wants to be at my house every other year. I told her not to worry, even if the courts gave me all the holidays I'd still be sure to let her see her mom's family on those days - as long as she wants to. She can call me and come over my house whenever she wants to. She …

She had anxiety before pregnancy and was institutionalized during for a short time. Seemed to calm down after but she was never the same. I slept on the couch for years. I had enough and asked her if there was ever a chance of us getting back together like before she said no. I started dating my best friend from high school and we've been together for 4 years now. I will say I do think her mother loves her (my daughter) but she lives in an echo chamber where she does no wrong. I feel like she ge…

I've never gotten an actual court order and my case never went forward so I've been cautious about hiring an attorney as who knows when this will finally move forward (we were never married).

I do record everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. But frankly it's just exhausting, I just want to see my kid. I'm not necessarily looking for sympathy but I had to vent. I appreciate the advice I've learned a great deal.

Why is this being downvoted? Seems helpful?

I'll try. I've told her a million times I'll pay her just to see her more. We can just use a mediator to figure things out. I'm ok paying money even though she makes more than me at the moment and I sold her a house to live in at less than half the value because at the time she couldn't afford anywhere else to live. She filed for child support shortly after even though she said she'd never file and for selling the house so cheap she'd count that and we'd work for 50/50. Clearly she lied. She kep…

I call my daughter to talk to her almost every night. If I don't call I at least text. After sending this I've gotten complete radio silence, I've filed for custody and haven't heard anything in over a year. I would willingly pay MORE child support to see her more. My ex refuses to communicate because "other people told her it was a bad idea". I just want to co-parent. We had a bad breakup, sure I wasn't the greatest boyfriend, be it. I've never been bad to my daughter. I love her, I just want t…

There absolutely was an issue with a patriarchy. However they're fighting a battle that was won years ago. There's women that believe their struggle is the same in the United States as the women in the Middle East and India right now. It's insulting. Sure there are absolutely some things that we could work on as a society, but if you want to compare microaggressions to only men getting draft letter and 4 out of 5 homeless people being men then we won't ever agree. I'm going to give you a few eas…

Just walk into any clothing store and look at the ads. Women of all sizes will be used to showcase "regular fit" clothing. While only a certain type of male model will be used for adult male clothing. Well honestly I can't recall ever seeing a chubby kid used to model clothing either - but that's a problem on both sides. Target just very recently started a small correction to this.

Although the second one is a bit of a rabbit hole I don't disagree with you. These things would help deter rape.

Just respond with "well if the laws don't have to be followed why don't women just not follow the laws that keep them down"? Either men are smarter and figured a way around the system or their argument is invalid. Men = 1 Women = 0.7 (according to them)

No. Because I'm not a thief. I also wouldn't sleep with the hottest woman in the world if she was near me if she was drunk and asleep. Just because it's easy and you get what you want doesn't mean morals go out the window.

Men are at fault for victim blaming other men too. This is a problem in society and that encompasses some feminists as well. That's what I really like about this subreddit, it's not about bashing and pointing fingers. It's about bringing issues to light. If we point a finger at feminists for not respecting our consent they'll do the same to us. There's no winning because there are bad people that won't in both. We can't ever expect for other groups to advocate for us. BLM, Feminism, Christians A…

Victim blaming is wrong, it doesn't matter what she wears. Consent is important.

My question is when these men are proved not the father, why isn't child support or other costs of care ordered to be paid back? As many here have stated - why is this not fraud?
