You don’t get to 265k in legal fees very quickly. Especially considering he didn’t appear to have a lawyer, I highly highly doubt it got that high. A contested divorce between 2 people is usually 10-20k and that’s when both people have attorneys.

Frankly I doubt that this particular story is true. Not that the courts can’t screw people over.

I can’t for the life of me understand why honestly.

I sense a weird, lack of empathy is how I would put it. There are people who are talking about how like “boys just need to do better.” Excusing bad performance of boys now with the sexist arguments used against women, which is just strange.

I think the issue here is one of base habits and the assumptions they build. The collision of two different people's sets of natural habits. The men in these relationships probably are just content with a less organized or less clean environment. The women aren't. I can see how these women end up in an unhappy stalemate. If their partner simply does not care, then they will inevitably reach the point where they just do it themselves first.

And yet all men need to register for the selective service in case there ever is a draft.

Well there are 2 party consent states, where in a private setting it is illegal to record someone without their permission. There are probably exceptions depending on the particular law of the state in question, but that would require consulting an attorney.

I think part of the problem is that it isn’t politically tenable to be anti-feminist at this point. They are very entrenched in advocacy and political groups as well as in people’s consciousness. The idea of anti-feminists being against the political part of the movement, not the women’s rights part is the kind of nuanced distinction that doesn’t survive political discourse.

Good copy pasta for such situations Karen Straughan's response to "those aren't real feminists" The following is a very informed and highly reusable comment by Karen Straughan in response to a feminist who thinks the many blatant sexists among feminists aren't real feminists: So what you're saying is that you, a commenter using a username on an internet forum are the true feminist, and the feminists actually responsible for changing the laws, writing the academic theory, teaching the courses, in…

When I was a minor I got asked questions about feeling safe at home. I don’t think I have been asked since.

There are multiple meanings behind the word incel. From my understanding it originally was a term that was created by incels to describe themselves. Involuntary celibate, simple enough. However, in common parlance on the internet it generally refers not only to the basic original definition, but to actions, thoughts, and attitudes that people ascribe to incels. The latter is the context for which I call FDS incels.

A subreddit I shall not link called femaledatingstrategy, they are highly misandristic, and generally toxic. Think female incels(although idk why incel is viewed as gendered)

I wouldn’t call the first one a “men’s issue” at least I haven’t seen it discussed in a community that is serious about men’s rights. The second one is one too cannot say as a claim for other people, because if someone has had people in their life shame them for emotional expression then they will probably hold the belief. I agree with you that at least where I live there isn’t a taboo on men expressing emotion, at least not broadly, but I’m sure plenty of people live in different circumstances.…
