1	A Petition to End Selective Service for Young American Men. Have they? In World War II, about 67% of American military were draftees, as opposed to only about 33% of Vietnam's veterans. And I think we can all agree that WWII was more justified than Vietnam. So, I would say that a draft is necessary, while realizing that the U.S. government used it in an unnecessary time. 2	A Petition to End Selective Service for Young American Men. The government can, and it is constitutional, but it takes a lot of work IIRC. The draft is mainly used when there is a shortage in manpower for the conflict that our military is involved in at the time. So, I wouldn't expect to get drafted, unless fighting that we're involved in escalates, or we get in a larger conflict. I honestly think this petition is based on principle alone, and I don't understand why it wasn't a petition to get women involved in the draft, but that's just my opinion.,	/r/MensRights	13/12/12 10:03 AM
