It’s not that the low n women are generally grossed out by the high n men’s count; it’s that they’re as equally grossed out by the low n hunters’ attitudes as the high n women are.

Promiscuity and casual sex frequency being correlated doesn’t make promiscuity impulsive behavior in and of itself. People are either comfortable with having casual sex or they are not, and they act accordingly. It may just be that more impulsive people tend to be comfortable with it, and less impulsive people tend not to be. But that doesn’t mean every person that has casual sex is impulsive or having it impulsively, nor that every person who avoids casual sex is not impulsive. There are people…

Casual sex isn’t an indication of impulsivity if the person having it sees no reason not to have it. It would be impulsive if a person was intentionally trying not to have it, but failed, but that’s not what most people having casual sex are attempting. That’s like saying, “reading books is so impulsive!” A person who reads would be like, “what are you talking about? There’s no reason not to read and I’m not trying to abstain from books, so why is it impulsive, exactly?”

Women also lose half of the mutual property and wealth during a divorce. Say the marital assets between a couple are, for simplicity purposes, one house, two cars, and 500k in savings/investments. The couple divorces and split the assets 50/50. They sell the house and move into smaller, less valuable houses. They each get one car and 250k worth of the savings/investments. Both of them are objectively less well off compared to when they both had access to all of the assets as a married couple. No…

You wouldn’t force yourself to date someone you don’t want to date. You would examine your internal beliefs, where they come from, and what concepts they’re rooted in. Then you address whether they’re serving you or hindering you, not just in dating but in all aspects of your life. Then you let go of and change the beliefs that are hindrances, and see if your preferences change. I’ll do an example. Belief: “Women who have lots of partners are used and dirty.” Where that comes from: “I view sex a…

Your boyfriend’s kind of a dick and you should probably break up with him. He thinks you having sex with him makes you dirty, and less valuable. Why? Because he sees himself as dirty and a devaluation to you. Why the fuck would you want that? Run. Find someone with healthy views on sex and women

I don’t see how sleeping with a woman early on gives you greater power to either deny a relationship or enter into one, though. That’s what you said originally. She either wants more than sex with him or she doesn’t, regardless of how early they have sex. And vice versa, I think.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/23 01:51 PM
1

That still doesn’t give men who have sex early on any greater power. Either she wants to date him or she doesn’t. It takes ongoing mutual consent to form a relationship

Some of them don’t, but I don’t see how that gives them more power to determine whether a relationship happens

Depends how fat you are. Very fat people sweat a lot more, and morbidly obese people are at a higher risk of certain infections between their skin folds, often because of a lack of mobility needed to wash beneath them.

I have seen many young girls who look much older, and I only realize that they’re not that old because they’re getting on a school bus, or they’re in my step daughters’ grades, or they’re holding the hand of a boy who obviously hasn’t hit puberty yet. Teenage boys look like teenage boys, and they’re not walking around shirtless in places where it’s inappropriate to be shirtless. They’re also not expressing discomfort over being ogled by adults (now, whether that’s because they’ve been conditione…

It’s hard when you can’t go outside with your daughter without seeing half naked girls everywhere, or when you’re processing some childhood trauma. I mourn not being able to have just been a kid. I mourn the way that affected my whole development and a huge chunk of my adult life. I don’t want that for any other child, not my own nor strangers. I get that you’re not concerned about it

I’m a woman (and a mum.) The Taliban would say these girls are sluts and need to wear burkas or that they’re ready to be married off. I am expressing concern that children are being confused for sexual adults because of the way they’re choosing to present themselves, and that maybe just a bit more coverage (a full length tank top that’s not so low cut, and shorts that actually cover their buttcheeks and don’t give them cameltoe, for example) might make them either actually less stared at and sex…

The one on the right does. The left looks 18 to me. am in therapy as an adult for some issues related to being sexualized as a child, and now I have a daughter. This is an important thing to worry about.

I mean, cheating is shitty, but it’s shittier coming from the person who’s committed to a woman who just went through nine-ten months of hell, then labor and delivery, and then all the after-effects of postpartum to bear him a child, to whom he owes a stable family… I just don’t see why you’re focused on Ariana here, other than the fact that she’s famous and possibly because she’s female

It’s not just “teens wearing make up.” It’s “children wearing a shit ton of make up that makes them look like 20 yos” Like, okay, maybe a bit of mascara, blush, and some lip gloss would be fine. But when you get rid of your acne, give yourself “siren eyes,” and contour the baby fat out of your face, you don’t look like a kid anymore.

I’m not saying that it’s right to leer at children.. but when we’re letting children present themselves as not only as what comes across as adults, but sexualized adults? I think that’s problematic as well.

Big disagree. It’s just more natural-looking make up now. The “clean girl” aesthetic still requires a large number of product applications, and some girls are using it to make their faces appear more adult. https://youtu.be/OkqxisM4tow

I feel like 13-17 yos are dressing and wearing full faces of make up in ways that make them look like full grown adults, and then complaining on the internet about how men are so creepy for leering at children. I’m not victim blaming or anything, but I’m also not sure what they expect to happen. I will never, ever let my daughter out of the house looking like some of these girls

There are ways of dealing with it in sensitive, calm, and kind ways… There are so many resources on effective and gentle parenting skills these days that there’s really no excuse to do it any other way. I am so grateful to be a parent in this era.

I would not call that a “high functioning” autistic individual. High functioning autists are capable of learning how to mask so well that they are virtually undetectable. Yes, this is a possibility with lots of dedication, hard work, and intense focus whenever the individual is around others. It is exhausting, but possible. The dude in the video is likely in need of a lot of therapy, based on what he’s saying, in addition to needing to learn to mask.

I think women probably look most sexually attractive from ages 18-25. (Probably some earlier in the body, considering girls are unfortunately developing adult-like bodies earlier and earlier these days.) After 25, collagen and hormone production begins to slow, and certain lifestyle choice start catching up with us (like stress, lack of sleep or hydration, not wearing sunscreen, etc.) By 30, the majority of women lose the youthful look.

Of actual penetration? Non stop? That’s like, too long I think like 5-20 minutes is ideal. Most of the age peers I got with lasted less than 5. They could go for “multiple rounds,” but that doesn’t matter if they can’t get me off in one round… intermittent sex is just not good

I don’t understand how having sex early on in the relationship gives the man more power (to determine whether there will be a relationship?) I slept with lots of guys early on and then decided I didn’t want to date them afterwards, whether because they were bad in bed or just not my cup of tea personality-wise. The ones that rejected me never had sex with me.

I expected men to pay because I didn’t have any money, and eventually I came to desire traditional gender roles in which the man is the provider and the woman (me) stays home and contributes to the relationship through unpaid labor. Any man unwilling to demonstrate that he can provide in the simple ways was eliminated from the possibility of a committed relationship with me. I was also perfectly fine with free/cheap dates in the beginning, until he was sure he liked me and wanted to invest in me…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 11:07 PM

Gotta get insurance that has mental health benefits… Idk what your specific issues with dating are to be able to say whether therapy would help or not
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 08:21 PM

Well, it depends on what the issues are. You can’t learn game and how to be attractive from therapy, but you can learn things like how to overcome your insecurities, communicate effectively, avoid abusive relationships, open up to love, etc.

He mentioned maybe meeting us somewhere on the weekend portion of the trip, which I would love
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 08:11 PM

Technically me going away for 10 days doesn’t take away from our together-trip time, because him not being able to get away from work right now is the limiting factor here… it will set my savings back a little, yes, but not by too much. Hiking is an inexpensive activity. I should have almost enough to fund an international vacation by the time he can take off work.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 08:09 PM

Oh for sure….In the past, we’ve gone on wonderful vacations together; I think together-trips are always ideal… we’ve just hit a bit of a slow season, financially, and so the only trip we have planned this year is to Disney, because it’s important to his mum (even though we’ve been like 3 times already and I would much rather go somewhere new. Not that I’m ungrateful, but.) So I’m kind of itching to get out on my own.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 08:05 PM

True. What I’ve found is that a good partner will recognize when you’re trying to communicate effectively and understand his feelings, and he is then likely to reciprocate with understanding and willingness to change… a bad partner will not respond this way, and at that point, either couple’s therapy or ending the relationship is necessary.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 08:01 PM

That’s something I’m a little worried about, as it’s been 80s and 90s where we live the past couple weeks… but we are going north, so it shouldn’t be unbearable, right? And I want it to be warm enough for swimming, otherwise I’d wait for the fall weather and foliage
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 07:54 PM

Two year olds are old enough to play in the forests and rivers and climb on rocks and stuff, aren’t they? In the next year or two, she’ll be too big to carry in the pack. I’m estimating between $1500-2000 total. It’s a couple month’s worth of savings.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 07:52 PM

Well, we sort of approach finances with him paying for our families needs (while I do all of the housework and childcare), and we use our own money for things that are wants.. I’m also saving up money for future “together” trips, but those are much more expensive, and I don’t make very much working only part time. So it will take time
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 07:49 PM

If your partner has an issue with accepting constructive criticism, the time to bring that up is not when they are in the middle of a very basic task. It should be discussed when neither partner is busy and both are at ease, in a non-accusatory way, and again, with gentle suggestions and open discussion. “Hey dear, do you think maybe you have difficulty accepting criticism sometimes? Where do you think that comes from? Is there a way I can communicate with you better so you don’t feel attacked/n…

We will be driving at most 2 hours a day for the first 8 days, be sleeping in hotels, and the hikes will be short, with a large percentage of the time being spent playing in the woods and the waterfalls. I have ordered a child-carrying hiking pack so that I can carry her when she doesn’t want to walk, and many of the reviews say their toddlers went right to sleep. We will have maps with the routes, changing gear, snacks, and lots of water with us at all times.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 07:36 PM

Okay; I’m having an AITA moment and I need the based people’s input only, por favor. Summer is fleeting, and I wanna go on a 10 day multi-state hiking trip with my 2 yo (partly because I want her with me, but also because the childcare is my responsibility and I have no one close by who can watch her for that long.) I am financing the trip myself. My husband A) doesn’t like to hike very much, and B) can’t take that much time off of work… He is a little bummed that I am going on a trip without hi…

The correct way to go about correcting a man is to let him do it (provided whatever he’s doing isn’t going to have disastrous results), thank him and then suggest a different way to do it. For example: “Thanks for cleaning that toilet, honey; I know it was nasty… Just wondering, do you think it might be better to use the toilet scrubber wand first and then the pumice stone for stains?” Men are often very insecure, and anything that draws attention to their incompetencies can lead them to become …

It’s very similar behavior to spending money check to check , sparing no chance for short term pleasure in trade of investing in yourself a bit long term (or in sexual terms waiting for a relationship) where there’s a bigger potential payoff ( sex with someone you’re emotionally tied to feels better than recreational sex from what I’ve heard). Just because relationship sex is better, it doesn't mean casual sex won't scratch an itch while you're looking for a relationship-worthy partner. These th…

The overall consensus, in historical times, was that black people were unintelligent, savage, and didn't feel pain, and consequently they were enslaved and treated, to completely understate it, poorly, for centuries. Correlational studies on this topic are fundamentally flawed. N count obviously increases every time a person is sexually disloyal, and infidelity tends to end relationships, which leads to singleness and more sexual partners. There's also the fact that n count increases as time progresses, as well as the number of relationships people have been in, as well as opportunities for infidelity. It only makes sense that someone who is young and is in their first relationship and has an n count of 1 is…

Man, I'm in the military. I already mastered fireman's carrying the gay women im tryna smash

so then it'll only be the spoiled incel rich kids who want to shoot up the schools, or the hoodlums smart enough to make drug money and use the dark web who get their hands on guns, and the law abiding Americans won't have guns to defend their homes or children. great plan

How to pick up bisexual women as a bisexual woman?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 11:23 PM

That depends on if it's used as a noun or an adjective, and whether the person is using it because "women" can be twisted into "People with penises who identify as women" and that requires specification...
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 11:11 PM

I hate being hit on by men at the clubs. They're always drunk and sweaty and sometimes uncomfortably insistent... I don't think anyone is "gushing" about that to their friends. This is also why lgbtq clubs are generally more enjoyable, but unfortunately they are more likely to be a target of mass violence. I just want to go and dance and feel the energy of the music, lights, and crowd. I wear my ring, which glows in the dark, so it is noticeable even under low lighting conditions.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 11:06 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 11:00 PM

not really machine guns. Rifles are typically fine

/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 10:56 PM

I think men know right away, but it is a turn off to women for them to ask for that kind of commitment too quickly

There’s a difference between “having a profession that requires you to be in a bikini and post on social media” and “having casual sex with different people specifically when you’re single.” You shouldn’t expect a partner to drop their whole career for you. You should expect faithfulness and monogamy from someone who agrees to it with you. Women act differently within relationships than they do outside of them. It’s the same way that men are socially permitted to have casual sex with many partne…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 02:52 PM

That makes sense
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 08:25 PM

I’m just wondering why a 23 yo would go to the trouble of sourcing paper maps
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 08:22 PM

Digital maps are basically GPS
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 08:18 PM

Just piping up to say it because a lot of people think it’s reliably reversible.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 08:17 PM

Like a paper map, or a digital map?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 08:15 PM

I’m 26
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 08:14 PM

That’s what I tell him. Often times he’ll pull up the GPS and then not listen to it because he thinks he knows a faster way and I’m just like 🤦‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 08:14 PM

He’s gen x
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 08:05 PM

Keep in mind, not all vasectomies are successfully reversed. They are intended to be permanent contraception
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 08:05 PM

Must be nice
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 08:03 PM

Are there others? I haven’t heard of them
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 08:03 PM

Depends what you look like. You can try posting to one of the ratings subs that offer advice for things like hairstyles and grooming. Then you either decide if you wanna be conventional or fulfill a niche, and then you work towards that. Most conventional men go to the gym and manipulate their diets to be lean and muscular. But if you wanted to look like a skater or an artist or a musician, you can get away with being skinnier.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 08:02 PM

Does anyone else’s partner make fun of them for not being able to get places without GPS, or is that just a generational gap thing between my husband and I?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 07:53 PM

Are they in middle school dating some dumbass senior or what? That was the cringiest thing I’ve ever read
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 07:43 PM

Or at least trying to make yourself want to have sex. Lots of women get themselves in the mood in preparation for their partner wanting sex, if they have mismatched libidos
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 07:32 PM

Looksmaxx, personalitymaxx, profilemaxx, and then match with sluts on dating apps
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 07:29 PM

Be attractive and find yourself a slut
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 07:27 PM

Right… I think a lot of people neglect to talk about it until they’re relatively deep into a relationship, and then suddenly one partner wants to go out and the other is shocked and impermissive. Or they’ll meet while they’re out and then expect the other to not go out anymore after they commit to one another
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 07:16 PM

If both of you are okay with that restriction, great. Personally, I don’t go to clubs to meet people and get shitfaced. I might have one drink, enough to get tipsy, and just dance. I like to feel the energy of the crowd and the vibrations from the loud music and the moving lights. Makes me feel sexy and young and alive again… My husband doesn’t like it, so he doesn’t go.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 07:10 PM

It depends on the individual. If your partner feels uncomfortable with you going out and one of the reasons is that you don’t handle your liquor well, this could be a useful conversation. Some people feel that dancing with others is cheating. I stopped doing that whenever I committed to exclusivity with my husband (although now that I think about it, we’ve never discussed it 🤔)
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 07:01 PM

This sounds like a hypothetical that I didn’t participate in, so I’m not going to continue to discuss it with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 05:24 PM

Updoot for stellar and healthy communication
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 05:21 PM

Telling your partner “if you go to the club, our relationship is over” is essentially the same as forbidding them to go to the club.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 05:19 PM

Sometimes people go out and they get in over their heads with the alcohol, and end up in unsafe situations. If you set boundaries before they go, it’s not because you don’t trust your partner, it’s because you want them to pause to think about it, so they’re more likely to be safe. It’s also good to explicitly communicate what you’re okay with in the context of your relationship what you see as “cheating”), so that there’s no “I didn’t know you felt that way” and hurt feelings if somebody crosse…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 05:18 PM

Or, perhaps, a woman who doesn’t go to the club because she doesn’t like it. If you meet a woman at the club and y’all started dating, idk why you’d try to keep her from doing the things she finds to be fun
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 05:15 PM

Instead of “you can’t go to the club,” consider: “Why do you want to go to the club?” “Can I go with you?” “It’s okay if you want to dance alone, but I am not comfortable with you dancing with other men.” “Can we set a limit on how much you’re going to drink?” “Will you watch your drinks closely and stay with your friends?” “Will you call me if you need a ride?” “Where are you planning on going? Will you let me know if your plans change?” “Are you comfortable with sharing your location with me o…

/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 11:46 AM

I am someone who thinks that enhancing one’s femininity or masculinity, respectively, makes people better and more comfortable in this world. I have one very masculine part-time profession (the military) and one very feminine profession (SAHM.) While I find that the military makes me speak louder and boss my juniors around and be assertive (which I hate), my Marines also trust me more than their male counterparts to be compassionate towards their issues, to have things that they need, and to mak…

/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 10:49 AM

I wonder if it’s just where that individual lives? Because I know if I called the police to report a male attacker/rapist, not only would I be taken seriously to get justice, the whole neighborhood would take up arms to find said male. I definitely lean more towards the “men can easily have their entire lives destroyed by accusations even if they’re unfounded” camp,
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 10:43 AM

Good men are easy to please. If you find a man is not easy to please, either he is abusive, or you are a subpar girlfriend/wife, and you should carefully collect evidence to figure which of those it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 01:35 AM

Oh, I misread. Well, that makes sense. the point of getting married is to split up what is essentially 3 jobs (housework, childcare, and income-generation) into 1.5 jobs. And its more efficient to combine household tasks and certain expenses
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 12:55 AM

I wish I only had 7 hours of housework to do a week as a SAHM

/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 11:38 PM

Casual sex is okay, and it’s also okay if you’re a person who doesn’t want to have if, or if you’re a person who doesn’t want a partner who has it.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 11:34 PM

That actually looks like it would work really well, but that the body would reject it and make people sick, like implants already do to those who have them.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 11:32 PM

The honeymoon phase is “my partner is perfect and I want to spend every minute with them.” Afterwards, it’s “my partner is imperfect, but I love them anyway” and you don’t want to be with them constantly, but often. If you don’t like major aspects of them or their behavior, and you rarely want to be around them, break up

Yes, I get women will have "casual sex." But my point is that we are not the same as you claim we are. Guys will have sex with almost anyone, even if they find you slightly unattractive. They don't need to go to a bar. They don't need to know your name, get a drink, talk, or anything. They just want flat out sex. My point was that we are wired differently. So again, what does men having low standards have to do with it being less socially acceptable for women to have sex with who they want? Beca…

I don’t, and I’m married. I said it before, I don’t care what your preferences are.

You are being ignorant to reality here. If an average lookimb guy walks up to 100 women and asks to have sex, none would have any with him. Even if they are "just horny." What are you on about? People have casual sex all the time. That doesn’t necessitate going about getting it in super awkward ways. Most of the time when women want a quick fuck, they go out to a club or just tinder up a man real quick. you can’t seriously be arguing that because the likelihood of a man getting sex by walking up…

You’re making up hypotheticals and then applying them to all women. It’s real weird
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 05:55 AM

I already explained why saying “it’s easier for women” is not a logical reason why women should be considered less valuable for having sex with all the partners they desire. Try again. After all, it's women who have exclaimed that sex is more emotional and about connection for them, while for guys its highly visual and physical. Women aren’t monoliths, and the ones that have spoken to you about this don’t speak for all of us. Some women don’t need to have an emotional connection before having se…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 05:10 AM

The laws aren’t “targeting men,” they’re targeting prostitution, and just not prosecuting sellers of sex anymore, which just happen to be majority female. All these other analogies don’t matter. The reason why men are “disproportionately affected” by prostitution being illegal is because they are the ones making the personal choice to break the law that has existed before selling sex got decriminalized.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 04:55 AM
15

So… because on average men’s standards are lower than women’s, women shouldn’t get to enjoy sex with as many people as they individually desire, the same way men are permitted to?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 04:50 AM

It doesn’t fucking matter either way, with the drug thing. The government went from not allowing anyone to sell or purchase sex To not allowing anyone to purchase sex, and not punishing sellers of sex. They are not specifically targeting men because they are men, they are targeting people who are purchasing sex, and the ones who purchase sex just happen to be men. They are literally doing something that has always been illegal, so why should they not be punished just because selling sex is now d…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 04:48 AM

The first sentence of the article you linked literally says “sentencingdisparity.” You know why it specifies “sentencing”? Because the laws are written to be neutral and enforced in a discriminatory way, such that skin color dictates whether or not people will be punished for doing the same crime. In the case of prostitution, men are the ones who are actually doing the illegal thing more often than women. So it’s not comparable.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 04:31 AM
12

And why is it different if a man wants to enjoy sex with lots of different people vs a woman who wants to enjoy sex with lots of different people? Why are women locks and men keys, in your metaphor?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 04:25 AM

Seems to me like common sense would be that people like sex and having it with different partners is acceptable for both genders.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 04:11 AM
8

Like I said, I don’t care what your preference is
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 04:05 AM

The laws for drugs are race neutral. Non-white people have been incarcerated for drugs more frequently than white people not because they use/sell drugs more frequently than white people, but because the law was unfairly enforced. If men get prosecuted for soliciting prostitution more frequently than women do, it’s not because the law isn’t gender neutral, and it’s not because it’s being unfairly enforced. It’s because men are soliciting prostitutes more frequently than women are.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 04:03 AM

Historically, any participation in prostitution was illegal, buying or selling. They have only recently decriminalized selling sex, so that trafficking and abuse victims can get help. It remains illegal to purchase sex, for both men and women this is not about gender
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 03:55 AM

You’re not making any points
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 03:39 AM

The alimony laws didn’t need reform because they were disproportionately affecting male payers. They needed reform because it’s ridiculous for one adult to financially support another adult for the rest of their lives just because they were married at one point but aren’t anymore. Like you do realize that there’s nothing legally stopping men from having wealthier wives and collecting alimony in the event of divorce? And that men don’t need to solicit prostitutes? The only thing that’s changed fo…

The “it’s easy so let’s shame women for it” argument is illogical and I’m really tired of it. “It’s easier for men to obtain voluntary sterilization procedures than it is for women. All men who have had vasectomies are STANDARD-LESS, DIRTY, LOW VALUE, SKANKS!” Like, has it never occurred to you that some women are just horny? So if sex is easy to get, why the hell wouldn’t they be having sex? I don’t care if you don’t want to date high n women, but ffs, come up with a sensical argument as to why…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 03:26 AM

I don’t know if you know this, but soliciting prostitution has been illegal. They’re just trying to make it so that people (of either gender) can now get help and justice more easily IF they need it. It doesn’t matter that men are the majority of the people paying for sex. Say it with me now.. “it doesn’t matter if…”
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 03:16 AM

The alimony laws were also gender neutral. It doesn’t matter if men are the majority of the people buying sex or the majority of people who have stay-at-home spouses. If enforced properly, they are gender neutral. The government doesn’t want prostitution to happen. So it’s leaving buying sex illegal, and decriminalizing selling in attempt to reduce human trafficking and make justice more accessible to abuse victims. Gender neutral. The government didn’t want divorced people being dependent on we…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 03:13 AM

Oh, i see what you’re saying… decriminalizing sellers still isn’t sexist
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 02:59 AM

They’re not saying sellers are “always” victims, but they’re removing the punishment from all sellers in attempt to make it easier for trafficked/abused people to escape or seek justice.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 02:47 AM

It doesn’t ruin the argument at all. There are definitely laws that people enforce against certain races while letting other races off the hook. But hypothetically, if they were enforced fairly, the laws would be fair. Like, people spoke out about how black people were being incarcerated for weed and not white people, and now we’ve rolled back weed laws because we realized they’re stupid and unnecessary (once the govt figured out how to capitalize on weed sales, of course.) So hypothetically, if…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 02:43 AM

The spirit of the law here isn’t “let’s punish men for buying sex” it’s “let’s stop people from engaging in prostitution but in a way that still allows trafficked people to seek help.” (however effective or ineffective that may be. I’m leaning towards incredibly ineffective, but they’re trying.)
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 02:30 AM

Okay, and?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 02:26 AM

That is a non-gender neutral and discriminatory law
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 02:25 AM

I honestly believe this "trafficked" shit is a hysterical bogeyman. We aren't in the 70's with "pimps and ho's" on 42nd street, but even if that is some rampant problem amongst sex workers in the USA, why not just go after the TRAFFICKERS then? Trafficking definitely still happens and is definitely a huge issue. Nowadays it’s just done more underground. People are disappeared and taken to remote locations to be purchased and abused by the ultra wealthy, distopian-tv-show-style. They’re trying to…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 02:23 AM

That would be unconstitutional because it would infringe on the right to religious freedom We don’t have a constitutional right to purchase sex
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 02:16 AM

You’re not wrong. But we havent exactly put the brightest crayons in the box into legislative seats, have we? Do you have any solutions, by chance? (Not saying this as a rebuttal; im just curious if you have any clever ideas how to fix the issue)
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 02:12 AM

They are, by definition of the word, orientation-neutral, yes. However, they are pointless, and they were actually ruled to be unconstitutional in Lawrence v. Texas in 2003. It is definitely discriminatory if only gay anal-sex-havers are being arrested for having anal sex, and not straight anal-sex-havers. Just like it would be discriminatory if women weren’t being punished for buying sex, but men were. It’s just that fewer women want to buy sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 02:09 AM

Nobody is saying that women are being discriminated against via disparate impact as a result of decriminalizing the selling of sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 02:05 AM

I mean they’re pointless (who cares whether people take it in the ass?), but they’re orientation-neutral too.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 02:04 AM

Sex and gender identity are not the same thing
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 02:03 AM

Yes. However, there are more effective laws and social system that could be implemented to reduce homelessness, instead of just making it more difficult for homeless people to find shelter. Like, sending tax dollars to homeless shelters and trying to improve societal mental health and cracking down on drugs and gambling, and… I suppose the argument could be made that we should be tackling the increasing issues with societal loneliness, but then again, there’s always going to be people who want t…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 02:02 AM

Yes. You can be gay without having anal sex, and straight people have anal sex too. Edited to add: Although, there’s no good reason why anyone should care whether people want to take it up their poop shoots
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 01:52 AM

That’s a more complicated issue, because while certain races face more obstacles to getting IDs, we also have an issue with voter fraud. The solution there isn’t to let people vote without ID, it’s to make getting IDs more accessible to those who need it.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 01:50 AM

The reason why they’re decriminalizing the sellers is because they don’t want to punish people that are being trafficked or abused. It’s like giving amnesty to underage college students who almost die from alcohol poisoning. Law makers are hoping to reduce the demand for prostitution through making it riskier for solicitors, therefore those who are being trafficked will be less profitable to their traffickers, and hypothetically fewer people will be trafficked. It’s not because they hate men
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 01:48 AM

A disparate impact policy or rule is one that seems neutral but has a negative impact on a specific protected class of persons. Didn’t know men who solicit prostitution were a protected class
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 01:35 AM

A gender neutral law prohibiting voting would be that nobody with any X chromosomes are permitted to vote. We would call that “dictatorship.”
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 01:33 AM

Because you and everybody else knows damn well that the VAST MAJRORITY of sellers are women and the VAST MAJORITY of buyers are men. So, what you’re saying is… men are particularly likely to engage in something made illegal… and that’s misandristic how exactly? “Wah wah we can’t do this thing that society deems immoral enough to outlaw! Why do you HATE MEN?!?!”
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 01:31 AM

Thank you.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 01:22 AM

I’m not gaslighting you. The law is literally gender neutral
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 01:20 AM

Actually, this is a gender neutral law. It’s equally illegal for women to buy sex from men. Therefore, it’s not misandristic.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 01:15 AM

How is anyone going to pay for a mortgage, car loans and associated expenses, all the different kinds of insurances adults need, food, clothing, cell phone bills, taxes, everything needed for a couple of kids… on 50k a year? That’s just not it
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 12:04 AM

$50k a year is certainly not good money. $96k would be comfortable for a single person; certainly not for a family. I don’t know what she wants. We don’t talk. All I know about her is what I hear from my husband, and he’s not gonna ask her about that
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 11:41 PM

That makes sense
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 11:19 PM

I mean, maybe you’d just be an attractive woman
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 10:32 PM

My husband doesn’t care about my sexual history because he’s not an insecure, misogynistic loser who worries that can’t please me in bed. He knows I’m not thinking about anyone else because he’s the best partner I’ve ever had, and that I’m unlikely to do better. Unless you meant “fuck around” as in cheating, which I would never do.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 10:30 PM

Actually, it does. Many genes are switched off or on by the environment; it’s called “epigenetics.” So like, if you have lots of money and live a cushy life, you can control a lot more of these genetic triggers than you could if you were broke. For example, stress, poor nutrition, and chemical pollution are all contributing risk factors to cancer. It is inherently less stressful to be financially comfortable than it is to be poor. You can afford better quality food and to live in a less polluted…

They just might have higher standards in other categories, so you gotta maxx out on those, you know? Be fit, charismatic, fun, good in bed, useful in some other wa…

I often wonder if it’s not uncommon for people to go through hormonal phases that are like mini-puberties… lots of women say their boobs started randomly growing again in their 20s, for example. My husband is just starting to sprout chest hairs at 51 years old. The human body is weird

/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 09:44 PM

Wealth isn’t just money, it’s a sign that somebody succeeded. They had something that put them ahead of their peers. Wealth also means a secure life, insulated from stressors, and the ability to raise your kids healthily and with certain advantages which helps to assure that they are successful as well. Successful people make the babies -> the babies thrive and grow out to be successful adults -> they make more success babies… repeat ad Infinitum. Like I said, without women being sexually select…

The median annual wage for archivists, curators, and museum workers was $50,120 in May 2021. The median wage is the wage at which half the workers in an occupation earned more than that amount and half earned less. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $30,450, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $96,500. https://www.bls.gov/ooh/education-training-and-library/curators-museum-technicians-and-conservators.htm#:~:text=museums%20is%20helpful.-,Pay,was%20%2450%2C120%20in%20May%202021. I am a SAHM. That’s the lifestyle I wanted, and that’s the lifestyle my husband chose to give me. Idk what kind of hours a person working at a museum puts in, but if the pay isn’t great, and my stepdaughter wants kids some day? She’s just gonna be paying all her income to send her kids to daycare to be raised by someone else, and her family’s QOL will be dictated by her husband’s income. Sure, she can get by with living in a small house in not-the-best or the safest of neighborhoods, in the not-…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 09:31 PM

It’s not. If neither gender wanted the best partner they could get, the human genome would go to shit. It should be a matter of pride to only want a great life partner for yourself and parent for your children. Anyone else who doesn’t has low self esteem and, consequently, low standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 09:16 PM

That is a bonus

/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 09:07 PM

Oh, you were speaking hypothetically. That wouldn’t fly with me. I would tell him either to be honest with me about why, or he should be seeing some kind of doctor about his sudden change in libido.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 09:06 PM

That happens to me often. How silly it is
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 09:04 PM

Nobody is forcing any man to be a provider to a SAHM. The reason why men do it is because they value the work their wives do at home: managing the household, so that their husbands can come home from work and simply relax, and taking care of their children. This is simply another way of splitting the responsibilities, and Hubby would still have chosen to have the job that he does regardless of whether his wives wanted that in a partner— don’t forget, he benefits from being wealthy too. Nobody is…

/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 08:47 PM

I feel like that’s a discussion you have with the person when you start dating them, if you feel strongly about it. You should ask them whether they want to continue to perform and engage in that sort of thing. Most famous people aren’t gonna give these sort of opportunities up in the middle of their careers…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 08:45 PM

What are you talking about?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 08:43 PM

I think I would feel hurt, but not necessarily un-loved… I guess it would depend upon the reason why he wouldn’t have sex with me
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 08:25 PM

I mean… what does one really expect if you partner up with a performer?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 08:17 PM

I’ve found that YMCAs have all the traditional gym equipment, but also some functional fitness gear (ankle weights, resistance bands, yoga balls, jump ropes, kettle bells, plyo boxes, etc.). They also typically have childcare, pools, saunas, and group fitness classes. Really great value for the price.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 08:15 PM

It sounds like it was just a performance
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 08:02 PM

Nothing is wrong with me. Probably because my female ancestors were hypergamous, instead of settling for inferior schmucks.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 07:58 PM

I think that’s probably because women are conditioned their whole life to avoid being “shallow,” and told that love is so much more important than looks or money… it can be hard to realize, down the road, that you don’t have to settle for one or the other— you can simply have all three with the right partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 07:57 PM

How is being part of your children’s life during the most important times a privilege ? Your kids are only little once. Some things are more valuable than money.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 07:48 PM

Today hubby and I were driving home from the gym, and he had me read the email his daughter had excitedly forwarded him. It was instructions from the museum she had been trying to volunteer at, since she thinks she’d like to work in archeological museums some day. I flippantly remarked that she’d better marry a rich man. Hubby gave me a sideways look and said I was being “mercenary.” I tried to explain that like, if you want a certain QOL and a low-paying job that you actually like, that’s what’…

/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 02:11 AM

Idk. I’ve always sort of felt like a dude who’s really grateful to be in a female body. I’d just have to go to work and be a provider. I think it’d be much easier to manage certain emotions without all the estrogen and progesterone, too.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 02:03 AM

If I magically flipped sexes, I’m assuming my femininity would be converted to masculinity, and vice versa.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 01:53 AM

I think most men do
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 01:52 AM

I’m probably like a 6.5-7.5, so id assume I’d be in that ballpark as a man too. I don’t think it’d be as easy to seduce a woman, please her in bed, and secure her commitment, but I would learn fast enough, I think.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 01:51 AM

🙈
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 01:48 AM

Tasteful tats would be fine. Male friends would be okay as long as they’re not obvious or known orbiters.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 01:47 AM

I don’t think it’d be very hard. I’m an attractive woman, so I think I’d be an attractive man too. And there are lots of women out there that like and want casual sex. I’d learn how to get good at seducing women and then how to be good in bed as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 01:46 AM

Yeah, Id just want her to be employed and like, not dependent on her parents before getting married. I’d be the provider as a man. Idrc if my partner has had lots of casual sex as long as s/he was careful about not catching STDs
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 01:44 AM

Not all of these are make-it-or-break it, but someone would have to have most of them. I am fit and attractive, so I think I would be as a man too. I have no heritable diseases or disabilities. I would make sure to have a good, stable way of making money so that I could provide a comfortable life for my family. I’d be an attentive father, and an empathetic and helpful co-parent, and I’d get a vasectomy when we were done having kids so my wife wouldn’t have to worry about BC or get sterilized her…

/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 01:07 AM

It’s okay to call gold diggers gold diggers. The best explanation I’ve heard from a woman who wanted her partner to make equal or more money than she did was that once she had kids, it was statistically likely that she’d miss work for a certain amount of time during pregnancy/delivery/postpartum recovery, and to pick up the kids when sick or if there’s an emergency. Or, she might decide, eventually, that she wanted to be a SAHM. So she didn’t want to take a QOL cut if she had to be financially f…

It doesn’t matter whether a man has coovid or a cold; they come to a complete stop, whereas women just keep going with taking care of everyone else, regardless if they have the same thing. Yes, women are the more emotional gender. That doesn’t make the fact that men are babies about being sick untrue. Stick to the topic at hand. Very few men are going to work, let alone at manual labor jobs, when they’re feeling ill. Most women’s husbands will call off or leave early, and then come home and go s…

The immune response is what makes people feel like garbage. Your germ-ensnaring mucus clogging up your sinuses is what gives you a headache. Mucus in your lungs makes you short of breath when you have bronchitis. General inflammation is what gives you body aches during viral infections. If women’s immune systems are better at responding to sickness, wouldn’t we feel worse than men? We’ve got double the genes that code for the reaction, after all. I think it’s just that men are conditioned to exp…

It absolutely is true. Last time everyone in my household was sick with qovid, who was cooking meals and doing the laundry and administering the medicine? Me. Not my husband. They barely tolerate me being sick (all men have stories about getting shit from women for being laid out with the flu or something). This is because when men and women have the same sickness, be it a cold or the flu or the coofvid, guess who still gets up and takes care of everyone else in the household even though they feel like garbage? /r/PurplePillDebate07/07/23 11:47 AM

There’s a difference between “I’m not going to date this person because she’s slept with too many people,” and “This chick is a dirty, used up, ran through cum sock! All sluts have xyz bad character traits!” The latter is 100% shaming, and you can’t just write that off as, “well it’s easier for women to get dates and sex.” Okay, well, obviously both genders like dating and sex, so tell me again why only women should refrain from those things ?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/23 11:46 AM

Voyeurism is watching other people have sex in general, not necessarily your partner. Technically you don’t have to watch your partner have sec with others to be a cuckold/cuckquean either.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 09:19 PM

Idk, if she’s half naked and missing a few teeth and walking up to random men’s cars, that might be a good indication she’s a whore

Slut as in, having a given man’s definition of high n count.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 08:56 PM

General correlations? Yes. But if you think every woman who dresses a certain way or likes to dance or does a certain sexual position without being asked (lol) or has a dead-eyed look or has slutty friends or or or whatever kind of nonsense men come up with…and you reject women with no further investigation beyond that, or you think the woman you’ve picked is a Madonna because she doesn’t have any of those traits, you’re a fool.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 08:47 PM

Gonna start compiling a list of traits men think are predictive of women being sluts lol [redacted]
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 08:37 PM

Cuckoldry has a humiliation aspect to it. The cuckold gets off on his partner being with other men and intentionally excluding him. People who are permissive of their partners dating/having sex with others, but there isn’t that humiliation or exclusion aspect, aren’t engaging in cuckoldry.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 08:35 PM

I don’t know why people assuming having casual sex for fun/pleasure makes it “inherently [not] valuable.” There is casual sex and there is sex with someone you love, and both are still valuable. It’s just that one is intimate and one isn’t. In my view of things, cheating isn’t wrong because all sex is intimate; cheating is wrong because it would hurt my partner, and would violate his trust in me. My views about sex make less worried about him having sex with other people because it’s just sex. I…

People who believe sex is a special thing that’s only meant to be had with someone they love still feel sexual attraction to and temptation for other people though. And those who only feel responsive libido can still catch feelings for other people while in a relationship. D&Cs are unnecessary before 9-10 weeks gestation and incur unnecessary risks, including uterine scarring that can cause infertility and the risks associated with anesthesia (death.) Women shouldn’t be getting D&Cs if they don’t need them.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 12:01 PM

There’s no such thing as full-term abortion. Once the fetus is capable of surviving outside of the womb, the term is “induction” or “emergency c-section.” They induce labor and deliver the baby early, or surgically retrieve it, and this is only done for medical reasons. If the premie is able to survive, it is then given the medical care it needs to do so.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 11:58 AM

anti-lifers No. They are called “pro choice” because they want people who want to keep their pregnancies to do so, and people who want to terminate their pregnancies to be able to do so. Abortions are not some light and inconsequential thing that some women need; they’re an unfortunate necessity and deeply unpleasant experience that women choose as a method of damage control. Anti-choicers want to take that choice away. They are not accurately “called pro lifers” because they don’t give a shit w…

/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 03:55 AM

Isn’t it funny that when anti-choicers talk about abortion, they often graphically describe DnCs, and rarely talk about medicinal abortions? Like they want it to be thought of as the most violent version possible, instead of just… a woman’s uterus shedding a pregnancy, just like it would if the fetus was incompatible with life to begin with.

You just don’t shit where you eat. Don’t fuck anybody in the same social circles as you. Then there’s nobody to whisper about it to your friends and coworkers. The only person who can tell anyone is you. This is why I say the “town bike” argument doesn’t apply unless you live in a small town. Edited to add: also, any of your “friends” that tell a prospective suitor your sexual history aren’t friends. That’s your story to tell and no one else’s

Pillsphere men are obsessed with cuckholdry, it seems. Either that or they don’t have any idea what the fetish is and they throw around Willy-nilly. The workplace environment is relevant because it’s like 95% men, and if they could just tell from looking at me, like you claim, there’s no way I’d be respected or successful. Women would find ways to order abortifacients from other countries, or would induce unsafe abortions in other, less effective ways. Those who are unable or unsuccessful will have babies they can’t properly care for, and those babies will either suffer or be put up for adoption, and their mothers will grieve the separation from the children they grew in their bodies for the rest of their lives. Some would die from pregnancy and childbirth complications. But I think eventually they would go back t…

For every dude whose limit is 15, there’s probably a woman who’s had less than that. So on and so forth. Because as the limits (or definition of “too high”) get further from the average answer in either direction, so do the number of women with corresponding …

Correction: you know trashy women’s n counts because they have let you know their n counts. Everyone who knows me thinks I’m some kind of innocent angel, and meanwhile I was a superslut. I just don’t talk about it in polite/formal company. So, you can’t really say, “I’ve never met classy high n women,” because you don’t know if you have or not.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 12:33 AM

Lmao. The vast majority of women are going to have fewer than 20 partners. The average is 7. This is why I laugh every time men insist that high n women struggle to get commitment. Men don’t even agree on what’s “high.” There’s plenty of “low” n women for the men who want that, and plenty of men who are generally apathetic about n count, or don’t mind a given women’s count, for the “high” n women.

Idk how it is in other countries, but in the US, you do not owe child support unless you sign the birth certificate, or if the mother names you as the father, sues you for child support, and the court determines via paternity test that you are the father.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/23 06:31 PM

Your consent to reproduction, as a man, is ejaculating inside of a woman. In cases of reproductive coercion (which would include things like raping men or stealing sperm from a condom,) child support obligations should be waived, and imo, male rape victims should have a say over whether the non consensual pregnancy gets carried to term or not. Until then, men should either carry away used condoms with them, or destroy the sperm inside (think spermicides or hot sauce.)

/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/22 11:36 PM

Maybe omitting until right before the sex is about to happen? That way the woman doesn’t feel robbed of her opportunity to make it special for him, she’ll likely be forgiving about his performance, and less likely to back out now that she knows definitively that she wanted to have sex with him.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/22 11:24 PM
1

It’s hard to say. On one hand, if a partner has pre-conceived notions about male virgins, they may judge their performance to be worse because of bias. On the other hand, their partners may be more forgiving of their performance if they understand they’re new to sex. However, I think most women would be put off of a man in general if they find out he’s a virgin, unless the women are virgins or very inexperienced themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/22 11:17 PM
1

It can often be, if the partner who finds the other to be non-proficient (I definitely feel like there’s a better word there) has the patience to teach them. Often they’re just not willing and they move on to someone who is already proficient, and sometimes two people are fundamentally sexually incompatible.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/22 11:06 PM
1

They want both. Some women can have sex with people with whom they don’t feel emotionally connected, others can’t. But everyone prefers technical proficiency to… non-proficiency (? Is that the correct word?), which is what virgins start out as.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/22 10:38 PM
1

I felt “in love” with the dude to whom I lost my virginity. It didn’t make him better at sex. I do think you’re an outlier in your beliefs. Most women prefer technical proficiency.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/22 10:27 PM

No. It would have, if the researcher had solicited more specific data relative to what we were discussing, and the data proved what he was saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/22 10:19 PM

I definitely think all people are evaluating each of their partners’ technical proficiency, whether consciously or subconsciously. But that’s beside the point. Your original claim, IIRC, is that virgins can be naturally good at sex (in the sense of technical proficiency), and that’s the study you gave as evidence. The study doesn’t distinguish between technical proficiency and being happy to have been somebody’s first, in terms of what a “positive experience” entails. So it isn’t good proof that…

So if 50% of the time a person gets a paywalled link from someone else, they’re going to have wasted their time searching for the full study… why should someone not expect a direct link to the study? If you have a link to the actual study, just send that one. If the person you’re talking to says “that’s not working for me” you can at least reaso…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/22 09:59 PM

Well duh. People shouldn’t be drunk when they lose their virginity. And most people want to make others’ first times special. That doesn’t indicate that virgins are good at sex Eta: i would be interested in a breakdown of how many women said the experience was positive vs how many men, and also an examination of how many women say the actual sex was good, and not just that they were happy to have taken some dude’s virginity because of how it made them feel.

Thank you. That is a link to a proper study. Note that the examples of male responses included in the 59% positive experiences talk about the actual sex being good, and only 1/3 of the female responses talk about the actual sex being good. The other two mention feeling “special” for being his first and “impacting his life forever.” Eta: I’m also wondering how that one female respondent defines “experienced.” The solicitation for stories doesn’t specify what exactly was meant.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/22 09:26 PM

No, but you could at least give the person you’re talking to at the moment a functional link, and then if other readers click it and it’s dead, they could alert you and ask for an updated link. And then you can either say “I don’t really have time to provide that at the moment” and be believed because you actually gave the correct link to begin with instead of making excuses and expecting other people to find it themselves. Or you could give it to them. You know how many people on here actually …

Like i said, you can periodically check to see that your links are still working and provide updated links. It just seems like you want to make it difficult for someone to find the actual info you’re referencing, which is shady, to say the least. If it’s a good study and it supports your stance, you would make it easy for people to get to the important info. But you don’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/22 09:03 PM

1

You could do the extra step of going to sci hub and finding an extra link if you are the one making a positive assertion, seeing as you want others to agree with you and the burden of proof falls on you. You could also copy and paste the relevant conclusions from your study into comments here. Anyone worth their salt is going to actually read the study to see if you’re cherry picking info though

If your study is fucking paywalled, you aren’t privy to more than a brief summary of it, and it’s missing all the information needed to evaluate the validity. I don’t understand how you don’t understand why linking a paywalled study is essentially meaningless. It just means that you didn’t bother …

Asserting that high n people all have negative personality traits is not a “preference.” Not wanting to date them is a preference. Shitting on them as people is a stigma

Or you could just link to a legitimate journal article about a study and not a pdf of one page supposedly from a study like a person who wants an honest discussion about this topic. The other one is a study that sourced it’s participants from ONE midsized college in the US, and vaguely defines promiscuity as “ever having had casual sex.” Which means someone with an n count of 1 who ever had casual sex is counted as “promiscuous.”

“Sky high infidelity rates” You don’t have a credible source for this. You don’t have to “blow things up” to move onto the next person. Most people end a relationship and start a new one without much drama. Serially monogamous people are not generally different in this regard than high n people. Also, people typically don’t offer commitment and invest in partners they have not throughly vetted. All sexually inexperienced people are bad in bed regardless of gender. Nobody inherently knows how to make someone of the opposite sex feel sexual pleasure. It takes practice. That is logical. I have a hypothesis that promiscuous people bond with romantic partners just fine and have no trouble with monogamous commitment once they find somebody worth committing to. Alimony isn’t common, but it still exists. And I disagree with it in the modern age. When you have roommates, you also don’t pay for all their food and bills, while they stay home and get to be with your children. While it’s not easy to care for a household yourself, you’re still being provided for otherwise. The way that people collect and interpret data can be biased. That’s why it’s important to evaluate a study’s methods of collecting data, and what math they did with it. Data can also be fabricated.

We’re constantly producing oxytocin, regardless of the number of people with whom we’ve had sex, and yet we are still capable of bonding with new partners. We get serotoni…

There are lots of women who write and share about their experiences with pain-free birthing on the internet. There are whole books and classes about it. They are certainly a minority, but I do believe them. So they were asking more specifically about your past relationships as opposed to sexual history? I used to ask about sexual history (specifically n count) before I slept with anyone, but that was to try to avoid people who had slept with like, an obscene number and were high STD risks, or men that were virgins or near-virgins that weren’t going to be good in bed. And then the men would ask me and I would tell them. It was never an issue. But I’ve never asked about past relationships

They don’t care either. Men like sex. So do most women. There aren’t consequences for casual sex as long as it’s safe, consensual, and proper birth control methods are implemented. You can project all your “red flags” onto people who are enjoying casual sex all you want. But people do not care You know what’s a red flag? Playing stupid games with people

Well, think of it this way: you can learn a new skill by reading about it online, but you learn better with an expert present to guide and teach you. They can correct you if you’re doing something wrong, or explain how to make minor adjustments and such. You can google sexual tricks, but if the person you’re trying it out on doesn’t know how it’s supposed to feel, he might just think he doesn’t like it, instead of being able to guide you in the adjustments. Because some things that one previous partner liked also can please a current partner. Like I said, sometimes our partners can teach us things that we like that we didn’t even know about before they did it to us. In this way, our sexual horizons are broadened, and knowledge is passed around. Eh. Virgins can have sex trauma, too. Pervasive society shame and stigma never helped anyone, either.

Good. Who cares if other people don't think you're good in bed if the person you're having sex with does? I mean, that’s true as long as you’re still together with that person. Having sex with 1 guy 100 times will make that guy in particular think you’re good in bed. I’d just have to guess and judge her based on her actions. So you would want her to have sex with you quickly in the relationship, but you would also… judge her for it? Do you think low n people are more or less likely to talk about their sexual experiences (or lack thereof) with someone they’re not dating yet than average or high n people?

Even then, there are people who get divorced or remarried more than once, and their n count doesn’t exactly reset between marriages. Are those people included? How long does the study run for? Was it just a snapshot in time? How do we know the low n people in the study didn’t go on eventually go on to get divorced as well? Plus, the older someone is, the more likely someone is to be high n and also to be divorced, because of the chronological nature of accumulating sexual partners, and also beca…

/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/22 11:34 AM

I hate that phrase. Unless you live in a small town, or somebody is sourcing their sexual partners from the same social circle (which, most people don’t do because it gets messy fast) nobody calls people they know “the local/town bike.” Most of the time other people don’t know an individual’s n count unless they ask.

Before we date they often talk about their history. Do you only date girls that talk about this with you? Because what if someone just… doesn’t talk about it?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/22 11:27 AM
1

You don’t have to have a high body count to have whatever negative trait you assume high n people have. For example, someone may think that high n people are incapable of remaining faithful in a monogamous relationship, but in reality, it may just be that that individual finds it difficult to remain faithful themselves, even if their n count is small. That’s how projection works. The fact of the matter is that women already sleep with whomever they want and still end up happy and in LTRs. There …

How long do you usually have to date women for them to tell you their entire sexual history without you asking? Do you often have partners whose “friends” are comfortable enough with you to talk about your partners’ sexual histories? So basically… you expect low n women, who don’t sleep with other men quickly, to have sex with you quickly, otherwise you suspect she thinks you have the good qualities necessary for her to date you, and that makes you not want to date her?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/22 06:22 AM

Apparently some men are viscerally repulsed by a woman’s sexual history. (But only after she explicitly tells them and not when they decided to approach her and ask about it.)
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/22 06:14 AM
2

You can change your sources of self-worth, you know, if they are making you unhappy. And we can always learn new things that make us better for our partners. I do agree that sexual compatibility and mutual desire are important. I don’t think asking a woman how quickly she slept with other men, or how many other men she slept with, as a way to judge how much she desires you, comparatively, is uh… useful? As opposed to evaluating if the amount she desires you is enough for you, period.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/22 06:08 AM

Healthy people’s self worth mostly comes from intrinsic sources. Do you like who you see in the mirror? Do you believe you are a high value man? Maybe after some introspection, certain men on this sub would realize they are projecting their own negative characteristics onto high n people.

A good partner should increase your feeling of self worth, yes. But i do not think it is healthy for a person’s self worth to be entirely based on someone else’s opinion, or for it to always be relative to other people. Self worth should be mostly derived from intrinsic sources. It is less fragile that way. Initially you didn’t mention sexually satisfying your partner; you were talking about how soon a potential partner “gave it up” to you vs other men she previously slept with, and suggesting t…

I have heard of marriages in which one spouse wanted a divorce, and the other spouse said, “No.” Qnd then they stayed married. They usually followed it up with “We’re gonna work on this” and then actually working on it. But the real “saying no” starts before anyone even thinks about divorce, with making sure you pick a spouse who also doesn’t believe in divorce, and then “working on things” effectively before they get that bad.

We will only marry virgins because we have standards!” Also VHOPPD: “If our hypothetical virgin wives don’t actually like sex with us, we will still expect them to have regular sex with us for our satisfaction only, or else we will divorce them, as is our right to do so.”
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/22 03:56 AM

How the heck is a virgin poly? I think you’re also missing the point: any kind of sex (PIV, BJs, HJs, pleasuring with a toy, etc.) is unpleasant and feels like a chore when you have no desire to do it in the first place. Making yourself do sexual stuff when you do not actively desire it very often has very harmful effects on the psyche.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/22 03:37 AM

Is that really what you want though? For a wife of yours to just feel meh about sex, as opposed to enthusiastically enjoying it, because she “doesn’t know what she doesn’t know?” For someone to stay with you only because she doesn’t know how it could be with anyone else? (As opposed to being knowledgeable and consciously choosing you because she genuinely enjoys sex with you?)
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/22 03:32 AM

The study actually concludes that divorce and n count are somewhat correlated, but it can’t conclude that accumulating a high n count causes people to get divorced for several reasons, on e of which being that it doesn’t establish temporal precedence (confirming that people slept around first and then got divorced, as opposed to say, sleeping with zero or a small number of people prior to marriage, getting divorced, and then sleeping with more people afterwards.)

The part where you continue to defend it in the rest of the paragraph. ETA and also the part where you explicitly recommended it as a solution to OP. Intoxicated people cannot consent to sex beforehand because they may not be able to properly withdraw consent if they need to., like if a boundary is crossed or they simply change their minds. Don’t marry this woman. You’re not going to be fulfilled with someone who has such a different amount of libido than you. As much as people like to pretend it isn’t, sexual satisfaction is a very important component of marital satisfaction and intimacy. My bad, it was firecaesar23. How are these misandrist? Hmm, I dunno, maybe because they're bad to men, and directed at men for the condition of being men??? These things are misandry the same way it’s misogyny to expect women to stay home, bear lots of children, and be subservient to their husbands, and to put them down if they try to be anything else. People need to be able to express their emotions to be mentally well, not just women. Rape is nobody’s fault but the rapists’, and happens to bot…

If you’ve participated in swinging, you should know that unicorns are called unicorns because most women in the scene are neither single nor monogamous, not because most freaky people only want sex within relationships. Nobody should be getting engaged at 18, neither to an age peer or somebody significantly older. I think 21 is like the minimum age anyone should be before engagement happens. Because then, even if you meet someone you can see a future with at 18, you’re either really sure of it 3 years later, or you save yourself from a big mistake.

Let me try explaining again. To prove that variable x causes variable y, three conditions must be met. The first is that x and y must be correlated (as x increases, y either increases or decreases) in a statically significant manner (meaning the results of your linear regression are not a result of pure chance.) The second is temporal precedence— variable x comes first, and then variable y happens. The third is that all confounding variables are ruled out. This is typically established only with…
