In the olden days (i.e. pre-apps), one night stands were the inevitable by product of being young and in socialising in large mixed-gender friendship groups. No one had 'game' (in the manipulative sense), everyone just had fun. These days, dating sucks. Men blame women and resort to idiotic techniques like RP. Women blame men and feel depressed and lonely. They're both wrong. The internet ruined romance.

Ha ha. I like the disarming honesty.

It's not true at all in the society I live in (Australia). I'm middle-aged. I've seen a lot of marriages. People marry their peers. All the long-term, successful marriages I know are between two people who have roughly the same level of psychological security (probably the most important thing), societal success, attractiveness and are usually around the same age. That's what seems to work.

Ok, thank you – I'll read it.

I honestly don't get the lol. I'm trying to say it's better for people to be real and forge meaningful relationships rather than get sucked into a rich dude/hot woman reality tv dynamic. I assumed hardly controversial on an exredpill sub but I'm happy to hear arguments.

You literally just said, “There’s scientific evidence that proves it.” So show us. Hypergamy just means marrying up. It happens, but is very gender and culture-specific. If an old rich dude marries a young poor woman, they could both be considered to have “married up”. They could also both be considered to have sacrificed their one and only life on bullshit standards rather than forge an authentic path forward. It depends on your values. Also, you need to learn about logic. Look up Karl Popper a…

The real-world example that disproved the theory – sister divorced her abusive partner, so that's one bad boy who finished last.

That’s a lot. I hope you are healing. You’re a good person to want to pass on this message.

What? Where did it say that?

She meant that she would not be in a sexual relationship with someone unless she was sexually attracted to that person.

I'm a woman, and I've literally never even heard that this is a thing.

And correct me if I’m wrong, but you’re also saying a potential partner doesn’t exist to fund your life either. Most people in their 20s are generally looking for someone who can support themselves (as OP is doing), who have an idea about what they want the next stage of their life to look like, and who have a plan to get there. If all those are broadly compatible, you have a potential partner.

It’s relevant because the deliberate misunderstanding of feminism turned into demonisation which turned into a new and virulent type of misogyny. The answer to your question lies in whatever happened between a man thinking, “Am I crazy, or should women be allowed to vote and own things?” to a man saying “grab ‘em by the pussy” and then getting elected US president.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
