The masculine interests part of this is fine. I know plenty of guys who would LOVE a woman that's into cars. Your interests aren't what makes you feminine - your attitude does. If you want some tips on cultivating a more feminine attitude, there are ample book links available in the sidebar material. If you're looking for advice, I would say don't befriend people in your chosen major. Treat them as work colleagues, not as close and personal confidants. If you want friends, you'd probably do well…

This is very similar to how my wife and I handle finances. Everything we earn goes into one account, and we maintain high visibility and accountability with each other on all purchases / expenses. To answer the broader question - most relationships sour when a man earns less than a woman because the woman isn't satisfied with the man's earnings. It sounds to me like your love and admiration for this man have nothing to do with how much he earns, in which case I don't see very much reason to be c…

I'd advise getting the hell out of there. Go nun mode for awhile, and try to book some time with a psychiatrist to talk about your panic attacks.

As a fellow workaholic, this is a problem that my wife and I have, too. As with most things, the solution is to bring your captain your problem. "Honey, I love you. I would like to have sex more frequently, but I don't want to take you away from the value of your work. How can we spend more time together without compromising your work / research?"

Are these things so uncommon in modern society now? Yes, they really are. The craziest part is, we have faster knowledge sharing than we have ever had in history. If a person didn't know how to bake a cake, they could search it on YouTube and find hundreds of how-to videos within seconds. Despite that, people are still so willfully ignorant that they would rather brag about not knowing something and spend hundreds more per month on restaurant food than learn a basic skill that hundreds of millio…

Here's a little bit of insight into the male mind: Men like women. For almost every man, the prospect of mating with a woman / multiple women is a key motivating force for virtually all of their actions. As a man, you're basically taught from childhood until adulthood that the way you'll get the woman / women you desire is through conditioned behavior. Platitudes like "work hard", "be nice", "pay your dues", "wait your turn", etc. These are beat into your head virtually every minute of every day…

As a general rule, this is correct. Be very picky with who you choose to commit to, but give your all once committed. That's attractive to a man. To answer the broader question - the type of guy you want to attract will be attracted by your boundaries, provided that those boundaries are the same for every potential partner. What most guys hate is when their girlfriend blew half the football team because they had nice bodies, but now she won't kiss on the first date because he'll think she's easy…

This is a really long-winded way of saying "your strategy doesn't work because I don't like it". Consider the male version of the red pill. Virtually every day, some poor gent says "I shouldn't have to lift weights for girls to be attracted to me." The response is always the same: reality and fairness do not typically cooperate. It may not be FAIR that most women are attracted to muscles, but it is REALITY. And to deny reality is tantamount to setting yourself up for failure. You will have much …

No, no, no! This is probably part of the reason for his "gaming addiction". He is trying to escape from the nagging/badgering/harassing! Came here to say this. Guys game as an escape. It's philosophically the same as drinking pints at the pub with the lads. Something about his life is making him unhappy. You'll need to decide how important this is to you, and make your decision accordingly. Personally, I stopped dating a girl as soon as I found out she wasn't into changing names. It's not really about the practical nature of switching names, because it's moderately a pain in the ass to change your Social Security card etc. However, to me it represented a unification of two people under one umbrella. In my view, men get a pretty shitty trade when they sign up for monogamous commitment. Practicall…

A friend of mine and I frequently opine on the state of society in the modern day. His contention is that all of the pain, heartache, and suffering in the world is caused by "shitty dads". If more men in this world were as selflessly loving as your father, the world would be a better place. Hat's off to him.

Just steer into the skid. Ask dates to dress business casual and bring resumes. In all seriousness, the art to asking a question is to relate it to yourself in some way. "We were just watching the basketball tournament. Are you into sports?" It makes your questions seem in the flow of a conversation, which makes them sound less like an inquisition.

Guy's a lying piece of garbage. Block his number and ghost him. As far as getting over the break-up: you're young, and he was your first, so it'll mess with you for awhile. I still think about my first girlfriend from time to time, and I dumped her for good 6ish years ago. The trick is to treat your exes like the game). Ignore them as much as you can for as long as you can until they just naturally fade into obscurity. Sorry if I just ruined The Game for anyone.

Personally, I think a guy who does what he wants to do regardless of a marginal upgrade in money is way the hell more masculine than generic corporate do-anything-for-money sellout #307. There's more to life than money. Find out what that is and work towards it.

Honestly, I would just break up with him and move on. Money is great but it isn't worth how you feel right now. And clearly this 25 year old, who has been a man at least long enough to start a business and technically for many years before that, has shown very little interest in discussing the long-term commitment that you need (and in my personal opinion, deserve). I think there's also a lot of potential for power struggle here, and it's fairly evident that you still kind of see this guy as a l…

Joke answer: just tell her to move to Denver. There's 10 single guys for every woman there. That's why they call it Menver. Serious answer: the mid-Atlantic has tons of single women and not many eligible male bachelors. She may need to move to a city with more men than women. Sadly, most of those aren't on the eastern seaboard. I'd recommend ChristianMingle and an open mind to relocation.

Your problem isn't that people don't respect you; Everyone has people that don't respect them. Your problem is that you care that people don't respect you. It's a common problem with young people, and you're not alone. What you'll learn, either from reading this post or from another 15 years of life experience, is that the opinions of others simply don't matter. The ultimate realization of every alpha is that they cannot control what people think about them. Knowing this, when presented with a c…

This is what it comes down to, in my view. I'd recommend getting married young enough that you can still have kids in your early-to-mid 20's, but don't get married just to get married. Go out, meet guys, see the world, and once you meet your captain, be ready to make it official.

It's tongue-in-cheek humor. How it helps is by offering the OP the perspective that she might be thinking too hard. Life isn't meant to be conducted as analysis until paralysis. It's meant to be lived and enjoyed.

I'd be ok with my wife managing the finances, if she was any good at it. Quite honestly, "managing the finances" for us means setting up 10-20 recurring payments for mortgage, gas, electric, cable, water, etc. Not very desirable. In general, a man shouldn't have to ask his wife's permission to spend money. A woman should trust her man to not blow all their money on a bunch of stupid stuff. That's kind of the balance.

Let's take a step back and unravel some layers from the onion, here. When people speak of degeneracy, they typically refer to the practice of sacrificing one's health for pleasure. This can take shape in the form of many different actions (obesity, as an example), but the most commonly cited examples are drug use and, as the OP refers to it, non-monogamous premarital sex. A large percentage of people see these actions as detrimental to the fabric of society, but can't really explain how or why. …

It's his job to tell them to leave him alone, and your job to support whatever decision he makes. I'd ask if his parents have ever indicated a willingness to come visit him, for a change. If they want to see him so badly, they can make the effort too instead of just dumping it on him all the time. If they haven't offered, than that's a pretty good indicator that they're just selfish dicks and he shouldn't be giving them any more of his already-stretched time.

Tell him that you're reading a self-improvement subreddit called RedPillWomen. Very specifically discuss the captain and first mate analogy. Tell him all about how the encouragement is to be the best "you" that you can be. Some advice from a man who went through this with an ex-girlfriend for literal years before finally seeing the light and moving on: You essentially have three choices here. The first choice is to do nothing. This will eventually alienate your boyfriend and strain your relationship. A lot of times, this type of thing ends the relationship entirely. Even when it doesn't, it creates an angst-y feeling at every family gathering and function, where he doesn't feel welcome and they don't feel comforta…

The blue pilled woman would just tell him to suck it up. I'm choosing to suck it up, myself. This is really the most relevant line of your post, and the fundamental difference between a red pill and a blue pill relationship. In blue pill relationships, a one-sided imbalance means guys sacrifice their time, their money, their health, their happiness, their well-being, and many, many other things for starfish sex once a month. In a red pill relationship, there are sacrifices and concerns for the o…

I don't think you're terribly out of touch. This may be a little philosophical, but I think that most of us are taught to view housework as "chores". This is probably primarily due to shitty parenting that assigns us tasks rather than explaining their importance. Most of us were never taught that there are many practical reasons for washing your dishes, not the least of which is maintaini…

Attraction is important. That said, other things are more important. I'm of the belief that settling is worse than just improving your SMV and doing better. Kara covered the how-to stuff pretty well. Here's some advice on vetting: Most guys near 6' lie about their height. If the profile says 6' exactly, expect them to be anywhere between 5'10 and 6'. If you're attractive and it's visible in your pictures, you WILL be inundated with attention. As a rule of thumb, you should be responding with intent to 1 out of every 5 messages that you receive. Preventative care requires a routine, and a routine requires discipline. The trick to being disciplined is reacting when you know you SHOULD do something. You know the exact feeling I'm talking about. It's 2pm and you really SHOULD shower... get up right then and do it immediately. RP men prefer low-risk, high reward situations. In the broader context of American society, this is why RP men are moving away from marriage; Marriage is currently a high-risk, low-reward proposition. Worst-case scenario, you lose half your shit to pay your evil ex-wife to keep your children and poison them against you. Best-case scenario, you have another mouth to feed in exchange for sex when you want it. How's that deal sound? Your N count is, statistically speaking, a determining factor of r…

I'm inclined to agree. I think of it a lot like I think of something like becoming a professional singer. Unless you're able to objectively evaluate yourself as being so absolutely good that your talent is undeniable, you should probably plan on something more mathematically likely to make you happier. The big problem with that line of thinking is that a hell of a lot of people gas themselves up and inflate their own talent level. It makes the whole "objectively evaluate" part of that equation s…

No offense, but your mom is a bitch. She probably runs roughshod over her employees and husband, so she thinks she can do the same to you. If it were me, I'd put my foot down. She can disagree with your lifestyle all she wants, but insults and accusations are where you draw the line. Tell her she can be a part of your life and let you make your own decisions without the name-calling, or she can find someone else to ridicule. Think of your future children. I eagerly await the day when /u/spez quarantines bitter, cancerous, man-hating subreddits for "toxic femininity". "Toxic masculinity" idiots fail to realize that masculinity is the only thing keeping them in their (relatively) safe and comfortable houses without fear of robbery, murder, or other violent invasion and subsequent violation of their property. Simply put, good, trained men protect untrained men (and women) from other, more nefarious trained men. It's ironic, because it's almost alway…

I think you should dump guy #1 immediately. The traits you describe (has an ex-wife, doting, "focused on work") point to a guy who acts differently once he's closed the deal. I don't see a long-term future there. As far as guy #2 is concerned, I say swing for the fences and try to land him. Family friends are great mates because of the political pressure to do right by you. Accept his +1 invitation, have a great time, and see where it goes from there. Don't pressure him with "where is this going…

Honest opinion: if you're willing to spend the rest of your life with him, and you're willing to bear his children, then officially committing to those things in a room full of your friends and family shouldn't be difficult. If I were writing something about my desire for LTR on a dating profile, I'd say it something like this: I'm hoping for a long-term relationship one day, but let's start with coffee and see where it goes from there. :) The goal of a good online profile is to come across as a completely normal person (even if you're not, haha). Normal people don't jump into LTRs. They take some amount of time getting to know each other. I'd try to phrase it in such a way that shows that you're aware of the social…

This is complicated business for a guy. Obviously at some level, they're chivalrous by nature. There's an inherent desire to provide, both in necessity and in luxury. Agreed. That's why I wrote all that other stuff - to qualify what real happiness is. The best way to describe it is to consider the difference between eating a Snickers bar and sinking your teeth into a prime rib. One has substance and nutritional value. The other is cheap, artificial and temporary. One is real happiness, and the other is endorphin-producing bullshit. It's every man's battle to avoid the pellet dispenser happiness and seek real, actual happiness where it may be found.

Insert generic comment white-knighting for Gaylubeoil. Success with women is a side effect of success with life. Success with life is (amused) mastery of some aspect of it. Peer groups are a mixed bag. "Lift and hold frame" is callous because a large part of people WANTS to believe that there's more to attracting a partner than the physical. Interesting observations. "Lift and keep frame" seems to be callous advice, but those are really your only two defenses against wandering eyes. 99.9999% of the attraction a woman feels comes from physical prowess (height and muscles) and abundance mentality, which is often referred to around these parts as "IDGAF attitude".
