I felt the same way. I couldn't believe how many other men have experienced the exact same thing that I was going through, and yet no one talks about it. I was so plugged in I didn't have a clue, and no one even tried to warn me. So many wasted years... At least I can teach my sons.

Look bud, you're 16. You've got shit figured out that I didn't learn until I was 31 years old, divorced and with 3 kids! I don't envy the circumstances that got you here, but at 16 you're a man. Being a man, ultimately, is about taking responsibility for your own life. Sounds like you're doing that. Keep reading. See the world as it is. Never underestimate yourself.

You ever stop and think that there's a difference between freedom of speech and being a fucking asshole? The line between those two things is extremely fine. Being an asshole shouldn't necessarily destroy your life, nor should defending your asshole friend, which is I believe, what happened in this case. Our legal freedom of speech is slowly being eroded by arbitrary and brutally enforced speech codes.

Maybe a better question would be "Why aren't women disgusted by male sluts?" Generally speaking men are disgusted by female sluts (in an LTR context). I have no idea why.. Biology? Evolution? Patriarchy? Honestly, I don't know nor do I really care. The opposite is not true. Some women may be disgusted by male sluts, but on the whole it doesn't seem as important to them. Again, no idea why and I don't really care. This double standard, like life, is unfair.

The most heavily criticized part of TRP is that the part where it teaches people to emotionally manipulate women into having sex with you when they otherwise wouldn't. It advocates multiple forms of abuse to mess with women's heads and get them to think they need to sleep with you. So... Women are weak and defenseless, or TRP will let you control women's minds? I guess either option is preferable to acknowledging the ugly truth, for some.

I appreciate and even agree with your list, but my mother gave me the same one. I listened but it didn't help, and it didn't stop my marriage ending in classic BP fashion. You can give me whatever answers you want. I already know what the real answers are because I've been married for a half decade. I'm aware of the challenges and what makes a good marriage and what makes it crappy. Congrats on 5 years! My marriage almost made it to 6. Too many people that don't belong being married get married, which is why divorce rates are through the roof. Agreed. But which type of people shouldn't get married? What about them makes them incompatible? TRP has answers to those questions, but you (and many others) don't want to hear them because it upsets your notions of fairness and equality. I've never understood how men can get it up for that. Literally knowing she is repulsed by you but sticks around for your money...I don't know..I don'…

I'm fucking furious about this shit. We've got an education system that doesn't educate but will instill all the "correct values". Gee, I was really hoping to teach my sons how not-to-rape myself, but Kathleen Wynne will take care of it for me. I guess that will free up time for me to teach them how to read and write.

"Logician" here. (I guess) I think I understand the theory here, but I'm not sure how to put it into practice. For example, I've been trying to make changes at my workplace for years now. I build a case, state it logically, point out the pros and cons, and basically irritate the shit out of everyone to no benefit. I'm at the bottom trying to motivate those in the middle to bring issues to people at the top - but is this even a realistic expectation? Or must I have some power before I can hope to…

I've got a friend who is a really great guitar player, you'd never be able to tell, but there was a time he didn't even know how to hold one properly. Fake it until you make it is common TRP advice, but if you have the capacity and the will, eventually you're not faking it anymore. ...unless by 'natural born' alpha you mean "tall". How much does self-defense really help? In a case of knife-to-your-throat, drag-you-into-the-bushes rape? Probably not at all, but given the expanding definition of rape, particularly on campus, I expect it might prevent a few of those I-didn't-give-explicit-consent rapes.

I teach my children to look both ways before crossing the street even if the sign says "walk". If they don't heed my advice and some drunk runs a red light they will die. It will have been the fault of the driver for getting drunk and running a red and it will be my child's fault for not heeding my common sense advice. Life isn't fair and there is plenty of blame to go around.

I'm sure those cartoonists in France would be alive today if they hadn't been asking for it by *doing things that would make them more likely to be murdered by terrorists Of course, but they were well aware of the risks they were taking and they accepted them. It was an act of bravery. Your example is a bit apples-to-oranges I think, but if we were to go further with it I suppose journalists should be calling for mandatory Don't-Murder-Infidel courses for all Muslims.

I'm not certain what point you're trying to make... Rich white guys get laid easiest? Edit: maybe you missed my point. I think I see what you're getting at, but it doesn't quite hold up. It might be fair to praise the black guy in this situation more, since he has to work harder to get to his position than the white guy and that effort is worthy of praise. They very much try to prove AF/BB as false. Indeed they do. With that in mind I doubt their men are as beta as they claim, but you never know... regardless, most women have no idea what TRP or TBP are. There's just attractive and creepy. Figure out how to be one and not the other and you'll have a good life.

If I'm using TRP the right way, then I'm doing natural PUA You've hit the nail on the head! When you do TRP correctly you're not fooling a woman into thinking you're attractive, you are attractive. I realize the nerdy girl will go for RP confidence, but may want to see more beta as well. in an LTR some beta characteristics are required, but why do you assume that nerdy girls aren't attracted to the same things that er... "bimbos" are?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/14 09:37 PM
5

Nope, TRP applies to all heterosexual women. You're thinking of it like a pick-up routine rather than an understanding of what attracts women. Depending on what you're looking for, a PUA tactic may work - perhaps it's the best way to attract these young bimbos that you speak of - but it's not necessary, and sorry, the soft spoken nerdy girl in the library is as likely as any other to go for a TRP man.

My lack of understanding of gender dynamics led to the end of my marriage, cost me my home, tore my family apart and brought me to TRP. In the grand scheme of things that is certainly insignificant, but in my life it was pretty huge. Now I see other people who thought gender dynamics were insignificant make them same mistakes I made and suffer the same consequences.

I've said before that the subset of women that TRP applies to could be described as "most". While AWALT, keep in mind that it's a spectrum and some women are more like that than others. TRP is only "guilty" of giving women what they want. Women on the other hand, are guilty of failing to meet your expectations for them.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/14 11:05 AM
2

Your first comment is actually spot on I think. You go off the rails a little here though. TRP isn't about pretending to be a psychopath, but we have noticed that dark-triad types tend to have certain behaviors that to appeal to women. We're trying to understand why those behaviors appeal and how we can use them.

As cheesy as I'm sure you'll find it; they do it out of compassion. This part resonates with me. I'm still learning but once you swallow the pill you see it everywhere. Newton didn't get everything right, but on a small scale his laws hold up well enough to be extremely useful. I tend to think of TRP as being like Newtonian physics - not perfect, but good enough to be really useful. I'd define the "certain women" you refer to as "heterosexual", but many who dislike the concept of TRP try to imply that it only works on damaged women who are easily manipulated. How do you spot a TRPer in the wild? You don't. Not if he's doing it right anyway. You just think he's an attractive, outgoing, fun guy. Many people here seem to have a caricature of what a TRPer looks and acts like. I think a lot of this comes from the locker-room type talk that goes on over at TRP. That's too bad for gentle souls who can't handle it but for those who can it, it's doing a lot of good.

TBP linked to this post. The top comments seem to be implying that you're a closet homosexual. I love how quick they are to call a man "gay" to try to shame. Oh well, I guess when you're tearing down the patriarchy you do what you must. Go hamster, go!

Well, I treated my wife like a Queen. That of itself is not a bad thing, the problem was that I acted like a servant - not all the time, but in general - the Queen doesn't fuck the servant, she fucks the King. She went looking for a new King, and judging by the apparent worthlessness of the guy she chose, she couldn't possibly have thought less of me. Hard lesson learned. So now I act like a King, and I get treated like a King. In return I treat my girl like a Queen. I do all the things for her …

I think while you were checking grammar you missed the point. Seems a little ironic though: He makes a point about how western feminists turn a blind eye to actual rape-culture and you change the subject!

Hey, you sound just like me. I married that girl, had some kids with her, then she had an affair. I didn't see that coming. I didn't understand what had happened or why. I thought I was doing everything right - I worked hard, tried to help her, please her, make her happy... Nothing worked. The more I tried the worse things got. A few years later I find TRP and learn that my story has been told a thousand times before. I can identify all the things I did wrong in my marriage and, had I known then…

Good catch. Gems like this are the reason I lurk TBP. That, and you guys are like a "best of" for TRP. I don't have time to read everything but that's ok, I can just head over to your sub and see what's hot. Keep it up!

So tired of this kind of shit; not everyone on this sub is 20 years old and looking to spin plates. There are lots of reasons to avoid single moms, but for some of us - single dads for example - those reasons don't apply, or aren't that important. I expect OP can answer your first 2 questions (not that it's any of our business), the other 2 are just fucking stupid.
/r/TheRedPill28/05/14 07:22 AM

True. I, like so many others, found TRP thanks to some "angry feminist" referencing it in another sub. If it weren't for the hate, TRP would get no love. Also, r/thebluepill is a great source for all the best TRP posts you might have missed AND if comes with great examples of hamstering.

Fucking retard here. The reasons for never getting married are also good reasons to never have sex with a woman. For most of us that's not an option so we weigh the risks and benefits, make a decision and live with the consequences.

I'm not suggesting I'm more attractive than others, just that I've gotten better with age. I think that this is true for many men, and that more women in her age group are attracted to this than OP realizes.

For an LTR I agree; my SO and I are the same age. I don't want a 19 year old for an LTR for so many reasons, but for short term? There's definitely an appeal, and I think it goes the other way far more often then you realize.

I'm in my mid 30's so I guess I'm not on your radar, but I think I can safely say that If you could compare me today with me from 15 years ago you'd say I'm more attractive now. I'm better looking, in better shape, smarter, more experienced, more self-confident, wealthier etc etc. I suspect that most guys really come into their own around 30 but maybe I'm just a late bloomer. Right now I'm about as attractive as I'll ever be. Probably, so are you. While you don't get the appeal of older guys I c…

a girl who shags loads of men on one night stands doesn't become less faithful because of it. Just throwing out a guess, but maybe it's because a woman who shags loads of men on one night stands isn't interested in being faithful or even putting up a pretense of fidelity. That's better than cheating but faithfulness is a high priority for most men seeking a LTR.

There's no rational explanation, it's just a deep-rooted feeling. Exactly. In my mind I know it's just a number - and probably lower than my own - and yet it matters to me. I'm about 5'7 and I also prefer women who are shorter than me. That shouldn't matter either but there it is. It's the way I am and I'm not apologizing.

Back to the sidebar my friend. Anger is part of the process. If you've been "alpha" for most of your life then you haven't had to deal with the bitter disappointment that so many of us reformed blue-pill types went through.

Someday you're going to shit and pee everywhere. At that point in your life you may wish you had someone around who gave a damn. If you do it right it could be your kids. I get that having children isn't for everybody but I think those who decide to avoid that part of life are being a little short-sighted.

Oatmeal expert here. Take yer whole rolled oats, 1/3 cup plus 2/3 cup of water. Nuke for ~3 minutes at 70% power, then add a about a half a cup of your favorite yogurt. Personally I buy the variety packs of the 100g individual cups so I've got a different flavor every day. Comes out perfect every time, cheap, healthy and tastes great. Oh - and make sure you put it in a wide bowl. That shit will boil over in narrow one.

I lurk BP from time to time. It's mostly unfunny satire but every once in a while one of the 'OMG can you believe this?!' Posts links me to something useful I missed on TRP. The comments are usually great examples of hamstering and while I'm sometimes tempted to post something like "wait, you're missing the point...", I realize these people will never see the point and it doesn't matter anyway because TRP works.

Dominate can mean many different things. As I understand TRP, the type of women they want need a man to "dominate" them to feel fulfilled. This type of woman could me described as "most".

Generally speaking I'd say that would be good advice for women as well. Why would anyone stay in a relationship that didn't fulfill their needs?

If a TRPer found himself in an abusive relationship he would next her in a heartbeat. Seems like that's a good policy for men and women.

Um... Every romcom ever made? The nice guy always gets the girl! In any case I'd say nothing really led me astray... But I never had any guidance either. I just figured I'd "be myself" and the girl of my dreams would come along. Sure did! And over the course of 6 years of being a blue-pill husband things spiraled down until she had an affair. I don't blame society, though society didn't help. I'm not trying to avoid responsibility for the failure of my marriage, in fact, before TRP I put the bla…

More like "I'm glad I lost my legs in the accident because now I have these kickass bionic legs and can outrun a cheetah and jump over buildings and shit" It's not a rationalization if your life is objectively better after the accident.

Absolutely, but you can see a few parts in there where the light of the truth is starting to shine through. TRP is a journey for those of us who only knew TBP.

Ha! I like your alternatives and I see what you mean about asshole game. A girl telling you you're "not in her league" is pretty significant assholery on her part so she gets what she deserves if I decide to be an asshole back, but I'd still be careful about calling her a lesbian simply because I think she'd take that back to her girls: "I shut him down, he called me a lesbian". Cue eye rolls from her girlfriends, and the message they get is you're a guy with no game who assumes women who aren't…

New to TRP, but this kind of comment seems like it conflicts with holding frame. I realize the delivery of a line like that can greatly affect how it is taken, but won't most women think a guy who would say that probably calls any woman that rejects him a lesbian? Seems douchey...

I don't think you need to tell a 15 year old boy to want sex all the time lol, they're already there. I think at that age the emphasis will be on building their self-confidence, teaching then to be indifferent to outcomes, take risks, avoid beta characteristics that will land them in orbit etc. My oldest is 10 so I've got some time.

Not sure I'd get into lecturing, more like role modeling with explanations: "I do this because of that". I hope my sons will figure out for themselves from my success or failure what is the right course of action to take in their own lives.

I get what you're saying (and can definitely relate re: wasted years), but I mean more specifically, would you teach them about concepts like dread game? So they can spot it, and (hopefully) make better choices about the men they're with? ...I'm not sure this would help, I mean, if my mother had told me boobs were a trap I still would have fallen for them.
