Yeahh there is absolutely no way a guy who uses “chads” unironically is actually getting laid

Because people want to give their children the same economic upbringing they had. Poor people will have a bunch of kids and it’s no problem to them because they grew up poor themselves. Lower middle class and up however, have the problem where they want their kids to have the same or better. But they simple can’t afford it. Economics does play a part but it manifests differently in each income bracket

Why shouldn't women pay alimony when men do? Equality is not a buffet where you can just pick and choose.

True. Pregnancy can be difficult if only the woman is working.

That's why I find this sub so interesting. I live in a fairly liberal area in NYC, so honestly I have never even heard of "natural impulses" Well I have, but it's all been written off as unimportant and I've never seen it used in an argument in real life. I never even imagined things like that would make any difference at all in a relationship. Many girls I know wish that had a sensitive kinda guy. Also, where I live, there are stay at home dads and things, and I have never seen any problems wit…

Interesting. I've never heard of this. I guess it's hard thing to keep up in a relationship.

Oh I am a woman, and mainly I am just curious. I have looked into the ideology of this sub I have always wondered, what is the roles were reversed? What happens in a lesbian or gay relationship? It's also because I would like to have a stay at home husband one day, or have a situation where I would be the breadwinner and he can be the caretaker. I'm still in high school though, so probably won't happen for a while! Or I'll just change. (I'm also kinda sorta a hopeless romantic and want to take c…

Interesting. Though I do think that was rather unfair of her to openly disrespect him like that.

Oh how sad. Depends on the person I guess.

Oh that is true, I know things are like this for a reason. Many of my friends would not like this idea, while a few others would love it. It's not a very popular opinion. And really, I don't think I would mind dating a feminine man, it's seems rather nice actually. But, I haven't tried it so I am in no position to fully make that statement I just like the idea of taking care of my husband so that he never has to worry about money or things like that. I think I would take very good care of him, a…

Well I mean him being happy is 100% the most important thing and if he feels unfulfilled I would in no way support it. My idea is just that I would like to work when I get older, and I feel it would be nice to have someone at home to balance it out. We would work as a team. I would be the breadwinner and he would be the caretaker. It would be nice to know that while I'm at work I can come home to someone who loves me and completes our home life in that way. Maybe some days I would bring him food…

I do not think that is a flaw, that's just your personality. Some people would like this position and some would not, I think it really just boils down to who you are as a person.

Thank you for your answer. Every personality is different and I am glad to see the RPW does not judge situations out of the norm. As you said it can work for some people but not for others.

Oh that sounds sweet, well, except for the couple with the unhealthy relationship. Otherwise it's nice to see that the dynamic can be effective. One of the reasons they have many kids could be because they are catholic, or simply because more kids are easier to mange with one parent at home.

That is true, different things interest different people. I personally would like to have a stay at home husband, but...I'm still in high school so...I can't say I know what it's like. From the responses I've read so far, the main problem with this setup is having a lack of respect for one another, and the husband having lack of respect for himself.

Oh I see, different things do work for different people. Perhaps it would work better if, like you mentioned, people made it clear this was the plan more early on in the relationship.

Ah thanks you. So what I believe saying is that the key to a successful relationship is each person having delegated roles, so therefore gay relationship or stay at home husband relationship can work as long as each person has a certain role in the relationship and they each preform their roles well? That does make sense and seems pretty effective.

Thank you that does make sense. Respect is very important in any relationship.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
