Agreeing with the comment by u/CountingDownTheDays5, I have scars on my thighs, in part due to an emotionally (and later sexually) abusive relationship with an ex. My current HVM once noted them, checked I was okay, but has otherwise been 100% supportive. I would go as far as saying its a non-issue with real HVMs. Only LVM, like the OP, have an issue because they don't actually intend on providing emotional support and instead want some perpetually perfect, emotionless and needless barbie to sta…

I also feel like its good self-care to invest in a really good vibrator that makes you feel good about your sexuality and etc. I recently invested in one, by HV boyfriend paid, and it makes me feel like I'm in control of my sexual desire and deserve the fucking best.

How about doing like a meme Monday when that's the only day memes are allowed? Or text tuesday etc

I wouldn't date a gamer tbh. It's not a hobby I share and then men I've known to be gamers have never had a healthy relationship with it. I tend to use my free time to work on myself, or as a way of self-care from intense work in academia, and so it makes sense for me to date someone who does that too, rather than gaming.

Interestingly I'm doing some research into a Chilean trend called the 'funa' (which comes from the Indigenous Mapuche word for 'rotten') which has been transformed from a political technique into calling out abusive exes on Instagram in particular as a way of warning other women. There was even a website data base that aimed to store these "reports" so you could search someone's name and check if they were safe (https://estafunao.com). The website broke because 12,000 reports were made in one we…

LVM always do this when they have a HVW. They think they can do so much better, or pick her apart, and then as soon as they're in the real world again they realise they aren't worth shit and she was the best thing they ever threw away. Unfortunately too few of them connect it to them being LV and use it as a teachable moment. Instead, they just beg and when that doesn't work out they find a slightly pickmeisha who reminds them of their ex-HVW and try and pretend its the same thing. I saw it with…

I've literally had my HV bf say that kissing is more intimate than sex to him. Long make out sessions, which don't end in sex, are far more intimate. Constant kisses are a good way of seeing that state of your relationship.

Same, I'm in a long term with a HV dude and somehow managed to figure out the FDS philosophy myself without having found this sub just based on not wanting to fuck up like I did with my ex. Now I grab a cup of tea and settle down to hang out here because its 1) so nice having a woman only space 2) super encouraging to be with all these women focusing on themselves.

There was a really good article, in The Atlantic I think about mumsnet, about why men hated witches so much and it was this same thing. Religion was a cover for them hating that women were getting together, giving each other advice (often about herbal abortions/their bodies) and it was giving them power. It is so important for women to have forums for themselves to discuss this stuff or we are isolated and lose information and power

Man I have anxiety and I still have to put on my big girl panties and advocate for myself. It is just life. He is using her to avoid living, and she's essentially having to live for him. How fucking boring must he be? This is insaneeee

There is no point in wasting your time if they don't agree with all the tricky stuff - i.e. politics, money, religion, children etc. It should be first date talk or I'm spending precious hours of my life going down the wrong track. And the fact that you can talk about that with someone is a sign in itself that there is potential

Same here! My mom was 40 and my dad 42 and I'm an only child. They were sooooo ready (had been trying for 14 years), so emotionally mature, ready to give me anything and support me completely. They are still very active for their ages.

On the other side, I got my nipples pierced as a reaction against fuckbois and as a way to reclaim my body after I hooked up and got hurt. I decorated it for myself. No one gets to see them now but my HV boyfriend, because he shows me every day that he gets the honour to see them. I completely support your decision though! My LV ex always wanted me to get them, and I only did it after I dumped him... I'm glad you found your peace <3

I don't understand how men can't get this shit. If my SO mentions that he likes/dislikes something ONCE, I remember it cause I care. If he doesn't remember, it's because he doesn't care.

Yeah I lost it at 20k, like how do you let him use it up to that point?

so true! My bf didn't have any money when we started dating (grad students) but he always made sure that he had my favourite snacks to hand, saved specifically to take me on nice dates etc. If a guy is actually HV and is into you, he won't let being broke stop him from treating you right.

it's because he only cares now some other guy "has" her. Nothing to do with her, all to do with his ego being wounded that she wouldn't be so desperate to be with him that she'd close herself off without any commitment

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
