Well, turds of a feather polish together. Polished turds are a dime a dozen, so chances are we dated the exact same turd with a different face. Did your middle-aged turd perhaps hide his stench behind "niceness," Old Spice and a fake sense of superiority? If so, we dated the same sun-dried turd. Good on you for flushing your turd.

*mic drop* Absolutely spectacular. I have many similar stories that all ended the same way as yours. Sidebar: This entire thread is spectacular and I am whooping and cheering for OP. I don't want kids, but I want to be on her level as I age.

I interact with a lot of military personnel. Those dude are all thrice divorced with terrible personalities, bad health, a God complex, and/or PTSD. You literally described my LV ex. He is on Divorce #1 and I am sure by the time he's 45 (he's 37) will be divorced again. He's your typical below average idiot who came from a "good Christian home" (read: abusive and bigoted) who thought he was going to be made a hero by joining the military because he wanted attention and is deeply insecure. He can…

This is exactly what happened to me. While we were friends, and for the first few months, he was kind, loving and generous....Fast forward 4 months into the relationship and he slowly stopped putting in effort, started criticizing, demanding more while giving less, and explaining away his incompetence and abhorrent behavior with BS. I left him after barely 6 months and cut all contact.

My most recent (pre-FDS) ex to a T. Kind, generous, caring.....towards everyone except the women he dates. A coworker needs help? He's on it. His friends ask him to help them move? He's there. His girlfriend asking him for basic things like quality time, to communicate with her about an issue, or to be more generous in bed? He has PTSD, he's depressed, he "doesn't understand what you mean," he "doesn't know how to be in a relationship," if you would just do your womanly duties and teach a grown …

This woman said that so perfectly! Also, her eyes are gorgeous. I walked off of a second date 4 years ago because I found myself a wild hobosexual pretending to be a functional adult. He told me he "felt great about our relationship," believed he was "falling for me" and guess what he asked? You guessed it: If I had a spare key now that we were "in a relationship." On a second date. I ran faster than the Roadrunner out of that restaurant. This hobo thought spending $50 on dinner would gain him a…

I LOVE that look of panic. It's hilarious. Like, why you mad though? Because Garfield, the stray alley cat I took in after I tossed you back to the street is a better companion than you? Die mad about it. If you wanna have a baby? Go to a sperm bank, as they have more standards than LVM do. They don't accept sperm from men over 35 and neither should you.

but they do believe in the "good, Christian wife" who's going to be submissive, cater to all his scroty needs and always look attractive for the man. This was one of the shrieking bullhorn red flags I discovered about my ex. Towards the end of our relationship he admitted that one of the main reasons he married his ex-wife was because she was the first and only woman to let him touch her/see her naked without penetration. They married a year later. She was a religiously raised submissive doormat…

Hobosexuals are men who get into relationships to have a place to live and a woman to finance their lives while they sit at home, play Xbox, probably cheat, and don't contribute to the home or relationship. They LIVE for cuffing season. Pew. Another favorite term of mine is "Community Dick" which often is synonymous with Hobosexuals. My best advice: Toss them back outside with the refrigerator box you found them in, and adopt an animal. At least the animal contributes to the home in a meaningful…

Your entire comment is spot on. Unfortunately, she still lives in the same town she was born in and rarely leaves. It's your typical Scrote-tastic blue/white collar small town where you're praised for not getting pregnant in HS or maintaining a low-level serving job as a lifelong profession. I haven't spoken to her in nearly 2 years because she's still leap frogging between scrotes and doesn't think she deserves better. She is not the only woman I was once friends with but after moving away, hav…

but honestly, most men who do this are creeps or extremely undesirable in their own country. Absolutely this part! I have a rule about LDR's and the Rule is: Absolutely Fucking Never. If he doesn't live in the same metro area as I do and I haven't seen him IRL on a regular basis, not happening. Watch a season or two of 90-Day Fiance and you'll never want to engage in an LDR. I have heard too many stories of catfishing, scams, being stood up, predators etc to ever even consider an LDR. My aunt wa…

I absolutely agree with this considering how horrifyingly NV my ex is. He courted me for months, smelled and dressed well, paid for everything, was kind, caring and loving toward my family, I met his coworkers and friends, etc. He is by far the most LV/NV man I have ever dated. He long-conned me and then switched up 3-4 months into the relationship. Found out he was severely mentally ill and unmedicated, he didn't take care of his child in any meaningful or fatherly way, treated his ex-wife like…

Yep. A now former friend of mine was always in relationships, and none of the men she dated were even worth looking at. I am typically single by choice for at least 6 months or multiple years between relationships. I have only been in a few exclusive relationships as an adult because I don't dedicate my time to dating or searching for any man available, she however does. Anytime she dated a new guy and I was single, she would try to coerce me into going on dates with his LV friends. If I refused…

Ugh, us women having holes where our eyes should be! How dare us with our high standards!

Well obviously. All men know that us women are woefully hole-y. The only holes any woman should have on her body are her ears to hear mens commands with, a mouth to agree with him and say "yes sir" the other 2 for his pleasure. We're sex dolls and sandwich makers who deserve to have dry eyes, obviously. How dare we have holes on our bodies! /s But also, you've heard the Holy Grail of negs. JFC these scrotes.

Why Does He Do That? by Lundy Bancroft (and anything by him, really), Men Who Can't Love by Steven A Carter, Healing from Hidden Abuse by Shannon Thomas, Psychopath Free by Jackson Mackenzie. There are others, but those are just what I have read.

This entire comment is an absolute truth bomb. It is funny because I have been called out for not responding positively to being called "yellow/red bone" having "good hair" being "pretty." These men actually believe calling us derogatory, racist terms is attractive and a compliment. Then wonder why we're rude, combative and dismissive of them.

These men didn’t even need to vocalize their internal self hate to me, their history was enough. So, please don’t think any of us are hurt about missing out on these types. I’m confident and proud of my ethnic identity, I can’t tolerate being with someone who is struggling with hating his own community, that’s rehab work for a therapist to sort out. I LOVE THIS. Keep that energy til the day you die. I feel this exact same way. When you have encountered enough of them, you can sense that self-hat…

It is really strange, and sad. Unfortunately, it is so deeply ingrained, along with generations of poor mental health that disrespect of women is normalized. I had to move to a different neighborhood because of these men. I know that men of all races can/do do these things, but my god, when 95% of my experiences with Black men have been extremely poor, it shakes your faith in ever wanting to date them.

>but as women of color we also need to stop limiting our options by skin color and go with whomever treats us best. This is what I do. I will not exclusively date only Black or only white, only American, etc.

Quite insightful. Long post yes, but absolutely worth the read. I will add though, even if his parents are still married, how does he talk about them, their marriage, his childhood and the quality of it/their relationship. Pay attention to that. Staying married does not mean connection, respect, quality or happiness. I say that because I dated a man (pre-FDS) who had married parents. Found out very quickly that his dad was a cheating POS, his mother controlling, emotionally abusive, riddled with…

These are great tips and I have employed many of these and learned from my mistakes while actively dating. I make it very clear casual sex is off the table. No FWB, no ONS and I will not go to anyone's house, nor him to mine if we are not exclusive and committed. This was pre-FDS and my Reddit usage in general. Where I messed up hard with my fake HV, NVX was we had been friends for a year and known one another for 4 years. This garbage man played the long-con on me, and because we were friends, …

100%. I am a light-skinned Black woman who is child-free. I can't even tell you the amount of times I have been called "Redbone," told I have "good hair" and that I am not Black unless I procreate with a Black man. I have for the most part stopped and refused to date Black men. For every 1 decent black guy I find, there are 150 horrible ones. The number of times I have been put on pedestals, triangulated against darker black women and been threatened with physical harm for refusing to give these…
