I'm guessing many do. Lots of people realizing that Tinderella just isn't worth dealing with.

Lol this is exactly the right attitude. Bang 'em if you like, marry them if it's useful, but don't ever let yourself get attached. You know they won't.

Yeah, it's weird how they're better at their job, and get better compensation. Wage gap!

I get that women can seem like the bane of existence at times, but two wrongs don't make a right. FFS don't turn into a manipulative POS yourself, just because most women are. We're supposed to be better.

Thank you so much for this. I had high hopes, was somewhat discouraged, and this perspective was hilarious and refreshing. You recommend anyone other than Aurelius?

Also, I'm going to need some sources. It seems to me that the jury is out on whether any of this nonsense you guys are spouting is even true. All I'm finding is a single secondary source in the Historia Augusta, and the only primary source I can find on her is from Aurelius himself, who seemed to think she was "obedient, affectionate, and genuine." It's certainly not accepted as absolute fact in the historical community, but I suppose you guys also think Catherine the Great died fucking a horse.

This post is about his philosophy. What part of the term ad hominem logical fallacy are you not understanding? You guys really have a hard on for Aurelius in a weird way, but again, the messenger doesn't matter. But keep being obsessed with cuckoldry, and by all means, let that obsession get in the way of rationally thinking about a subject and life in general.

Another ad hominem logical fallacy post. You are adding nothing to this community with your overwhelming terror of being cucked. What is with the anti-Aurelius faction? Y'all sound like you're more worried about being cucked than living a good life. Keep letting girls control who you are, what you're doing, and who you're taking advice from.

The essential Epicurus Is there a specific translation that you like? I'll admit I'm not as familiar with him as I would like to be, and was thinking I'd order a copy. *Silly me, just realized that is the name of the collected works, translated by Eugene O'Connor. On its way!

Epicurus My man! You are so right, and thank you for bringing him up. This video is a very short introduction to his ideas. Do you have any other suggestions?

I guess I always considered a cuck to be someone who is being suckered and tricked in some way, like the cuckoo bird tricking the other bird species into raising their offspring. If cuck instead has the more general meaning of your wife/girlfriend fucking another guy, regardless of the circumstances, then I suppose you are right. But then why base the term off the natural breeding strategy of the cuckoo, which absolutely implies deception and false expectations? Anyway, I'm new here, so still ge…

A cuck is literally someone wasting their life and resources by raising another man's kid while thinking the kid is his. That's not what he did, and this whole obsession with cuckoldry is a distraction that reveals how easily a female could still completely derail our lives by cheating. Like Aurelius, we should all be indifferent.

If you want to marry for whatever reason (kids, power, etc.), do it in a way that doesn't leave you open to being negatively impacted if and when she does cheat.

Dude, what's the non-weak solution that Aurelius neglected to execute? Having his wife killed, because his little ego was bruised by her natural tendencies? In this situation, indifference is the only position of strength. Indifference is what we should all be striving for in our relationships with women. Quit perpetuating the idea that it matters if you get cheated on. If you have prenups and DNA testing proves your offspring are yours, then who cares if she cheats and ruins your marriage. Move…

Not sure I get it, but it's a cute comic nonetheless. I guess the thing that strikes me is that if it were a guy refusing dates to hang with his dog, he would be considered weird and somewhat pathetic by most. Regardless of the gender of his owner, kicking it with Larry seems like a pretty chill evening, and a good reason to skip going out.

I'm pointing out that it's the opposite of weakness. Weakness is being concerned about the frivolous and predictable behaviors of women. Being worried about "sharing pussy" is letting pussy have power.

The fact that we are so concerned about cheating is proof we are not yet going our own way. Seems to me a big part of this subreddit is about not opening yourself up to vulnerabilities that can be exploited by females. Which is one thing Aurelius was all about as well. Don't let some visceral emotional reaction to finding out his wife cheated get in the way of learning from him. I guarantee he knew (insane amount of spying in imperial Rome), and he didn't care at all.

lolwut? Because his wife was sleeping around? Cucks don't know they're being cucked. That's a very important quality of a cuck. If you know your wife, who in Aurelius' case was someone he married for political consolidation rather than the womanish emotional desire of love, is a whore, but you don't let that affect you whatsoever in your thinking and daily actions, then that's not being a cuck. Finding out she has been secretly cheating and letting that negatively affect you would be cuck behavi…

Haha, right?! And though that's a useful comparison for rhetoric, that's exactly the kind of nonsense we need to forget about, because that is literally impossible. Someone who looks at that picture and is concerned about gender equality is someone you can 100% dismiss.

We do indeed have an incredible privilege: the privilege to have once again awoken in an amazing world to do the tasks of man. In the morning when thou risest unwillingly, let this thought be present- I am rising to the work of a human being. Why then am I dissatisfied if I am going to do the things for which I exist and for which I was brought into the world? Or have I been made for this, to lie in the bed-clothes and keep myself warm? "But this is more pleasant." Dost thou exist then to take t…

To me, this picture is one really important thing that this subreddit is about. There are just certain physical differences between men and women, and we've never complained about the burden of being men, and being expected to perform actions like these. Many of us even enjoy putting our superior strength to work for the vulnerable. Now there is this irrational race towards "equality" when the two genders are literally not equal in many ways. That's not some smug assessment from the mouth of mal…
