We’re saying that the terms refer to stereotypical characteristics of men and women. A woman can exhibit toxic masculinity and visa versa. It’s describing the behavior not the person.

Ouch, stop personally attacking me!

It’s the prisoners dilemma. If men and women acted morally, being honest and not trying playing games then it would be better for everyone, but if one of them plays games and lies then it’s doubly worse for the honest one.

I’m blue pill but totally agree. This is the tragedy of the commons. I think it’s honestly the main point of miscommunication in this sub. The red pill is trying to get men what they want (sex) while the blue pill is trying to get men to behave morally (honesty etc). I think that if everyone started acting morally and didn’t play the dumb games trp recommends it would be better for society, but in the short term it’s not going to get dudes laid more..
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/23 10:47 PM

Do men have right to sex with men? If so, would you bend over and allow another man take what is his right?

Cause it’s hypocritical to pine for a lifestyle in a hypothetical but in reality not want a family member to live that lifestyle. It goes to show they are just saying that lifestyle is desirable because it supports their warped beliefs but in reality they don’t think it’s desirable

How do you know your experience isn’t the exception? I find that a lot of what is discussed on this page doesn’t apply to my lives experience and that of my peers, I think it has something to do with the socioeconomic and political groups that I’m a part of but most of my friends are in relationships with women who make more and are happy about it. They are highly educated and us men take on more home making burdens. I do believe that your lived experience is what you talk about above, but I don…

Not yet. We are planning to in the next few years and I’m planning on taking the majority of the child care (taking time off from work etc)

Just to be clear, that is one person’s MO, not all women’s MO. Please don’t extrapolate from a single source to all women

You mean that your life depends 90% on getting a partner? How could you perceive what other peoples life depends on?

Most of the wealthiest men in the us also inherited their wealth.. Edit: it’s actually wrong, about 60% of ultra high wealth individuals are “self made”

That’s not a common thing! Most people that have unwanted pregnancies tried some method of birth control but it failed, usually due to ignorance or a mistake, not malice.

Many of them do… some of them have person histories that lead them to that hatred, some of it is just regurgitated hate, just like many red pill guys.

A lot of those men here do have inherent hate against those women.. posts here are consistently talking about how this women will take half your money! And they rode the cock carousel and now want to settle down and feel entitled to your money etc.

This is just communism for relationships. Tinder right now is a free market and matches and dates are based on supply and demand. You are trying to redistribute the “wealth”. Not saying it’s a bad thing, just pointing out the similarities to a system that many people despise.

Abortions and roe are supported by more than 50% of the population. Unfortunately the Supreme Court has no relation to the populous opinion
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 04:32 AM
1

That doesn’t have anything to do with why abortion isn’t protected anymore. It’s the Christian Right imposing their will on the rest of the country. They wouldn’t have protect roe if men could opt out of child support. That’s a stretch of a straw man argument if I ever heard one

Why limit sex to only childbearing when we have the technology to allow sex for fun and prevent unwanted births?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 10:37 PM

Right, I’m talking about the ones that didn’t want to have a birth and are now forced too because they can’t get abortions. The other person was equating that to men being forced to pay child support

I wouldn’t expect either parent to return to work within that amount of time, even in the case of an infant adoption where neither parent had any medical complications
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 09:59 PM
1

I would argue that parental leave is to take care of an infant, which takes a lot of work, feeding around the clock, diaper changes, preventing it from trying to kill itself (human babies are suicide machines). Generally I’m against forcing permanent physical distress on people they don’t choose.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 09:54 PM

Aren’t women mostly raising kids on their own? Like what are the stats on single moms vs single dads? Pretty sure many more women are stuck with parenting than men are..
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 09:21 PM

What privilege are we talking about?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 09:13 PM

Cause capitalism works so great… nah I’ll actually have empathy for other people and try to help those less fortunate out than shit on them for some perceived laziness then complain why no one is progressing in society.

Yes having all four limbs is a privilege, not everyone does and being able to walk around and use stairs and door handles is a privilege. I never said that white people can’t have challenges. And just because you are privileged doesn’t mean you can’t have challenges. All you have to do is realize there are areas of your life that were easier than other peoples. It’s not that hard, but for some reason so many people feel like they have to point out every little challenge they personally faced ins…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/22 02:12 AM

Did your parents beat you? Drink away their money? Use drugs? Did you have a decent school to go to? All those things are privilege. Why do people think privilege means that you don’t have to work for anything in your life. Privilege doesn’t mean you are billionaires, it just means you had some advantages, which it sounds like you did..
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 01:27 AM

So leave those kids to fail and they become failing parents. Helping those kids break the loop of poverty isn’t “enabling” their parents. And yes, you are privileged. You just said that being born into certain households results in certain outcomes. So by being born into a household with working parents IS privilege. Why do you think working and raising kids makes you special? Plenty of people do that all the time. Making sacrifices.. like most people don’t? Plenty of people have to suffer a who…

Writing off kids as lost causes before they even take their first step. I usually don’t resort to name calling but that’s a dick move. It’s that kind of holier than thou bullshit that I hope you don’t procreate and raise more arrogant pieces of shit. Or at least I hope your kids don’t grow up like you.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 10:22 PM
1

We’ll, I support ubi, so I totally agree everyone should have a living wage. But your other statements aren’t earnest arguements. It’s not the parents that “get money” it’s the children that benefit from childcare and good schools. They are the ones that get more equal footing to their rich counterparts whose parents have high paying jobs and can send their kids to the best preschools and private education. Why do you think you would pay 100% for your own kid in this scenario? Your kid would als…

Randomly dropping resumes on LinkedIn isn’t how you get high paying jobs though.. it’s networking, who you know, who your daddy knows etc. so your suggested “test” is a false premise. I haven’t seen any legitimate data come from you yet, you’ve been cherry picking small examples while ignoring the overall numbers. Look at manager numbers at most fortune 500s and they are heavily skewed male. As a white male, I’ve never once been personally discriminated against in the work place or see any of my…

That first article is talking about academics, not tech industry. The second article is specifically about a small group (200) people at google had the women making more than men, this isn’t a systematic truth If you think women have been in the lead for decades then why are there more male doctors in all the high age brackets? Do you think that men and women have equal footing from birth to achieve in all of these area and women are just genetically inferior or do you believe that society pushe…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/22 08:57 PM

I’d take that bet for high paying jobs like doctors, lawyers, Business directors, and bankers. Nurses and teachers aren’t high paying jobs and they are traditionally the only jobs that women were allowed to have. There definitely is discrimination against men getting caretaking type jobs, but women face discrimination in many more industries like business, tech, finance etc.

Where do you live and what income bracket are you in? Genuine questions, I think there is a big cultural difference between people who live in liberal east coast cities vs conservative small towns or Midwest cities. Living in liberal east coast cities my whole life and associating with upper middle class people, I’ve seen this a whole lot, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t happen as much in conservative areas with lower paying jobs
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/22 02:13 PM

Not op, but I was living in a big east coast city working a desk job and happened to meet plenty of women, either through sports leagues, bars, happy hours with friends (yes that’s a social network), and on line dating. Yes I struck out a lot, but I’m not expecting to connect with a woman on each interaction.

In context of becoming a ceo, what does “put more impetus on non power related things” mean if “not less driven to work hard for corporate progress”?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/22 11:40 AM
1

You said women are less hyper intelligent, less sociopathic, and less driven to work hard. Which you said are the valuable traits for business leadership. Doesn’t that mean women aren’t as good as men at business leadership? I’m not trolling, just trying to understand the mental gymnastics you are doing to avoid calling women inferior

You know how big Texas is? Not everyone can afford to take days off work and pay for transportation at the drop of a hat. How about politicians stop putting their hands into peoples private health decisions?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/22 05:44 PM
1

If men aren’t better than women (at corporate progress, cause that’s what we’ve been discussing) and men aren’t privileged (when it comes to corporate progress) then why are so many more ceos men than women?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/22 04:50 PM
6

So the women should live with the “consequences” of sex for the rest of their lives, but men just need to pay some money for 18years.. and you think women are the privileged ones?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/22 03:43 PM

Right, they just need to go through a traumatic 9 months with lifelong physical and emotional consequences, then they can just leave the baby on the doorstep of some man, who is now stuck caring for it

Women can’t get out of parent hood in Texas… suck it women!
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/22 03:26 PM

You are saying that women do have equal opportunity, they just aren’t as good as men so the results aren’t even? I understand what you are saying. But I disagree. I’ve seen the effects of unconscious bias hold back my female coworkers, while my career has progressed quickly and easily being a white male. I have a huge privilege being who I am. I understand why so many men are unwilling to admit that, because it makes your accomplishments seem lesser, when someone says you have privilege, like yo…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/22 11:43 AM
2

What I’m saying is we should give them an actual fair and equal chance. But when history is stacked against you and the corporate ladder is full of white men, with their own unconscious biases. It’s hardly a fair shake for women and other minorities. I’m glad you believe in equality. I just hope that you are willing to acknowledge the privilege that we men have in our society today and that we need to work a little harder to even the playing field.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/22 01:46 AM

Is that the speech you are going to give to your daughter when she’s graduating high school? “Hey honey, I know you try really hard but don’t bother, a man is gonna be your boss one day”. I don’t think CEO’s need any of the traits you just mentioned and I think that women can, and will, be a more equal share of the leaders of the future. But it seems you want to continue to belittle women’s efforts to achieve those goals.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/22 01:35 AM

How many communist female leaders did the ussr have?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/22 01:20 AM

If you think that working 120hour weeks is a trait that makes ceos, then yeah I guess so.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/22 01:13 AM
3

How many historic women leaders are there compared to male leaders? Women worked, but not in the roles that lead to leadership. I didn’t say anything about the 50s so I’m not sure why you are focused on that decade
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/22 01:11 AM
3

Those “planned” societies were also created by men, for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/22 01:01 AM
2

Our current economy was developed in a time when men worked and women didn’t. So the standard of what a ceo should be like was developed with only men in mind. Women weren’t available to break the mold of what we expect out of our business leaders.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/22 12:56 AM
1

Having role models is incredibly important. Without seeing people in positions of power that you can relate to, someone may not even consider that as an option. Well, since the standard for ceos has been developed in a patriarchal society then we could reformat our expectations for ceos. Edit: It’s even more important when your superiors aren’t sexually harassing you too..
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/22 12:20 AM
1

I’d add in that they had role models that looked like them at every step of their career (white male). And that they were encouraged by society to dive into a career and ignore family life in lieu of being good parents. So what would you suggest to do to help even out the physchopathic traits among ceos?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/22 11:39 PM
5

Typing in all caps doesn’t make it any more truthful.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/22 11:16 PM
7

Amen to that! The biggest privilege is being rich!
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/22 10:18 PM
4

That is number 2, just focused on a small portion of each gender. That arguement might stand up for the ceos but if you look at management and lower level execs across major corporations, it’s also heavily skewed toward men as well. That’s not the upper end of the bell curve, and they don’t need to work 100 hours to get those positions.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/22 08:52 PM
5

By replying I assume you feel the same as the above poster. Why do you say that “common factor is that women make a choice to not work long enough hours” you don’t need 50% of women to work 100hour weeks. You just need as many as men who are willing. In my career, I’ve seen equal portions of women and men put in the long hours (my wife included) but less women end up in positions of power.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/22 07:52 PM
4

Where do you get the idea that many women aren’t willing to put in the hours? There are three potential reasons why the majority of executive positions are filled by men: 1. Men are naturally better at the jobs 2. Men work harder than women and therefor produce better 3. Men are privileged and they have an edge on women when selected for advanced positions. It sounds like you think it’s number 2. Why do you think that is?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/22 07:47 PM
6

But what is the common factor for all those ceos? Just because a group is privileged doesn’t mean that all will be successful.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/22 07:29 PM
2

I don’t care about other dudes history.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/22 05:08 PM
7

I’m a dude, so my hypocrisy isn’t the issue. I’m asking how your belief changes how you are going to go about interacting with women in the world. Cause if it doesn’t change your actions. I don’t really care what your believe and I’m not sure why you would either. I’m curious to how this belief applies to your life or how it will improve your relationship with women.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/22 01:14 AM
6

How does your belief in this matter effect your actions in dating or interacting with women?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/22 11:43 PM
11

You can choose what parts of your past matter. Because it’s your past. Simple as that
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/22 11:40 PM
6

You are doing it wrong if consent ruins the fun
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/22 12:45 PM
-1

If that’s true then why don’t more people opt to test? If they really care so much?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/22 12:12 PM
6

Why does it matter? Unless the man explicitly doesn’t want to support a child unless it is theirs biologically it shouldn’t matter. And In that case they can opt to have a test. Seems like a waste of resources for most couples
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/22 10:12 PM
3

Oh well congrats to me I guess. Best of luck to you as well!
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 01:36 PM
13

You are looking at that through a man’s lens. Most women are reluctant to use their “sexual privilege” to get the commitments they want from men. Just like most men are reluctant to use their money and stability to get the sex they want from women. At least that’s how you should think of it if you prescribe to a pill. I went out and found a woman that enjoys sex and making more money than me, so idk what pill that is.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 01:32 PM

What about next of kin visitation in the hospital or filing taxes jointly?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/21 01:44 PM
2

Why blame the women in this scenario instead of the guys who were cheating?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/21 10:40 PM
1

But we are arguing WHY they took the actions, you say its because they dont find the new man attractive. I'm saying it can be for other reasons. You can observe them not doing X but you can't observe their motivations, only a mind reader would know that. You are saying you are "deducting" their motivations, I'm saying your deduction is wrong. You have not provided any data or even anecdotes that support your "deduction". You keep pointing to your own comments like they support your case.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/21 04:00 PM
1

You can read women's minds? Like you know WHY they aren't doing X with you? That's incredible! We should get you into a scientific study to see if we can find out how you have that incredible super power. It could change the world!
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/21 03:54 PM
2

Why not both? 12 hour days!
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/21 03:53 PM

So because you keep repeating yourself it’s fact?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/21 01:43 AM
2

Why do you think that sexual preferences can’t change?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/21 11:42 PM
1

Cause people can change. I used to love staying out to 2 am. But I’m older now and like being in bed by 10am. I used to love frozen pizzas but now I don’t dip below dominos. Why do you find it so hard to believe peoples preferences change?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/21 11:38 PM
2

Well then you are just wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/21 11:17 PM
17

Why do you judge other people’s choices and then you complain that people judge yours? Live and let live, if other women want to sell their sexuality, let them. If you want to not work, go for it!
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/21 01:10 AM
2

I don’t think men that want casual sex will shame women for having casual sex…UNLESS that casual sex is with someone else. Because then they are just complaining they aren’t getting their dick wet. Plenty of men will look down on promiscuous women but in a heart beat change their tune if suddenly those women want sex from them.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/21 03:56 PM

I mean you can make the scale start at 1, honestly I think it makes more sense that way with the way most rating scales work these days. You can’t give 0 stars on most review systems, which forces 3 stars to be the middle of the curve.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/21 04:28 PM

Wouldnt 5.5 be absolutely average so 6 would be very close to average
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/21 02:12 AM

Right, but friends are typically a lot easier to make than romantic partners. So if you have neither, I would suggest starting with trying to make friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/21 02:10 PM

Do you have friends that love you? If you are looking for love you have to win/earn but is easier than a romantic partners love I would try forming strong friendships
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/21 02:51 AM

If y’all and actually running into women like this then start looking elsewhere. I didn’t run into any women that demanded or even expected half of that in a single man.

If we really didn’t have free will then that removes responsibility for our actions because it wasn’t you who decided to take that action. Right?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/21 02:22 PM
1

So are you trying to remove blame or responsibility to your actions by saying you didn’t have free will in making those choices? Or are you a psychology student who just finished sophomore year psych? Or maybe both
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/21 11:35 AM
1

Yes, what are you even talking about?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/21 12:12 AM
1

What? You just admit that we can “react” which gives us free will. Then you say you can predict with near certainty. Which is it, are we completely controlled by these biological inclinations or is there a chance I’ll cut down the tree? Also what does cutting down a tree have to do with anything? I have free will, obviously my choices are influenced but in the end I can choose.

You are reducing women to reward that you can “win” which objectifies and minimizes them as humans. This is how you get men who feels entitled to sex “ I bought you dinner so you have to give me sex” kinda stuff. Because they don’t see the complex human on the other side of the table they just see the sex object. When you buy birthday presents for a friend, or go out for beers with them, are you hoping for some sort of reward at the end or do you just enjoy hanging out and seeing that person hap…

I mean that’s the case with any social progress. We had a black president and the next president is a racist. There is always a reaction from conservatives (not referring to republicans but people who want status quo) when progressives make strides in their direction. Sure feminism has overstepped multiple times but in general i think it’s doing well and if we focus on the few failures it distracts from the progress and conservatives will hold everything back until there are no failures

Eh, I mean we both know that even faced with hard data people don’t change their mind that easily and even in the case they do they aren’t happy with it. While the blue pill is making decisions on how we’d like the world to be, more equal. I generally think that if we all started acting this way the culture would change and that would change behavior. Do you understand that I’m not arguing that men don’t have a preference for lower n count women. What I’m arguing is that it’s unfounded. Men have been told that high n count women are bad for ltrs and therefor prefer low n count women. If there was a way to perform a blind study where husbands didn’t know the n count of their wives and visa versa, I don’t believe there would be correlation. I’ll have to take a look at the Wikipedia article you sent when I’m not on mobile, can’t find the source …

Oh I’m sorry. I thought you were using that as a way to gauge what was “high n count” now I see you were saying that since people say they prefer a lower n count that a high n count person has a harder chance of finding a ltr. I understand where you are coming from and I think that there are definitely people who this is true with but I think it’s stigma against high n count that drives this preference not something inherently different about people who end up having high n counts. Right so with n counts in the teens I don’t think there is any effect on ltr ability. Before someone used an example of high n counts been 50-100. Which I won’t comment on because I have no experience or knowledge of anyone with those numbers. That is why I clarified.

I only brought up the fact of the rarity of “high” n count women to say that it’s not helpful to have a conversation based on their experiences in relation to women as a whole. It’s like using Michael Jordan as an example for all basketball players when he is an outlier. I don’t have any reasonable insights into how likely n count of 50+ women do with ltrs because I don’t know of any. Almost 1%. But all kidding aside, what I think we are saying is that in reality these absurdly high n count people/women are so few and far between it doesn’t make sense to even factor them into your evaluation. In reality a “high”n count is in the teens. And at that point we/I don’t believe there is an appreciable difference in ability to settle into a ltr. It’s immoral to cheat on an exam, doesn’t mean you won’t get a better score. If you want to work out and have hobbies in order to be an interesting prospect for women, of course that’s fine but when you take the next steps of manipulation through lies or misdirection is when I start to have issues with your methods.

The biological burdens can't be transferred, but the financial and parental burdens can be shared through legal institutions. My arguement is that because the biological burden cannot be shared we should ensure the finacial and time commitments of abortion/adoption/parenthood should be shared through legal means. Now I understand the desire for men to eschew those burdens so by giving them the ability to opt-out, we fulfill that desire. But to have the burden of the biological as well as the leg…

When you say both have nothing to do with the guy you realize you are glossing over both abortion and birth have a lasting effect on the woman. So when I say scott-free for the guy I mean they can just walk away without any lasting effect, but the woman has to go through some serious stuff.

something happens means the duo conceive a child when they weren't planning on it. I guess my question is, why do you think it should be the woman's responsibility to get the man to sign something before sex and not the man's responsibility?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/19 09:53 PM
1

No, again, because of what the woman has to go through in terms of physically being pregnant I think it tips the scales in their favor on that decision. If neither person had to actually be pregnant and give birth or have the abortion (hypothetically a surgot or when we invent 100% lab babies) then I think they would have to both agree to terminate. But while we are talking old fashion pregnancies and births, the women gets the final say in abortions and if a man doesnt want to be responsible th…

Women's behavior? It takes two to tango. There's two ways to manage this, one is have men have to opt out, which puts the duty on the men, the other is to have men opt in, which puts the duty on the women. IMO because women have to deal with more of a physical repercussion to pregnancy, I feel its "fair" or at least more appropriate to put that duty on the man.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/19 04:57 PM
2

Because we all know that opt in is a high harried to entry than opting out. So this would leave many women high and dry without support in the case of an unwanted pregnancy.

But why does it have to be each person individually has an escape plan? Like just make sure both party’s want the same thing (abortion or not in the case of unwanted pregnancies) and then you’re good. But if you take away abortion you are taking it away from both men and women, not just women.

How? Just cause I said abstinence? No I’m pro abortion, if a woman doesn’t want to have the kid since it’s their body they deserve the right to abort. Except those laws are making women go through pregnancy. Where the child support laws are just financial burdens. If a man doesnt want to ever see their child they can just bugger off and pay for their half. They dont need to be parents. But a woman without an abortion has irreparable changes done to their body through pregnancy and childbirth. Plus then they need to deal with either raising the child or finding someone to take it from them. Do you see how one is not like the other?

That’s where, abstinence if you don’t want to deal with the possibility of pregnancy. Everything else is only 99.99% effective. No but seriously if a woman has to deal with the consequences of sex the man does too. I feel like many men feel like they should get off Scott free cause it’s not their body that has the baby.

But people who resort to violence, even restrained violence, are more likely to harm someone/something than people who don't resort to violence when in stressing situations. Sure, I'd prefer someone punch a pillow than someone's face, but I'd rather they just cry or breathe deeply or go for a brisk walk than punch anything in the first place.

I’m telling everyone to not be violent. Women, men, kids, dogs literally everyone. Can’t speak for other people but I don’t discriminate in my disapproval of violence. Entitlement: the fact of having a right to something (from google's dictionary). I don't think woman have the RIGHT to men standing up for them. I think men should do it (when its not obviously dangerous) You may not see the distinction but one is a HAVE TO and the other is a WOULD LIKE TO. But I think saying that a man telling a friend that cat calling is wrong will lead to physical harm is an over exaggeration of the actual danger in the majority of cases. Now I don’t sugges…

Dude, you keep putting words in my mouth, entitled and deserve are synonyms. I already said women aren’t entitled to men being nice to them. This is as easy as a women asking a man to hold the door. If the dude feels like he doesn’t want to hold the door then he can walk away and let it slam in her face, we can all agree he is under no obligation to hold the door but it would be nice for him to. Do you understand now?

Where did I claim to be entitled to another’s body? Never did I say that men need to do anything, just that it would be nice. Desire and entitlement are two different things, as you pointed out with the blowjob example

You think that a friend telling a friend that cat calling could cause a physical altercation? Jesus, what kind of friends do you have? Also, the only thing anyone is "entitled" to from someone else is to not be harmed. This is a "if you want to be nicer, you can do this" kinda thing. Personally I want to be nicer, so I do these things. If you don't feel the need to be nicer, then don't but dont be surprised when people call you an asshole, or do its a free country.

It doesn’t need to be self sacrificing, you can teach your son or any child that you are close to about good behavior and consent early on. Sorry to hear your experience with smart, financially successful women has been so lack luster. I can tell you from experience both personally myself and others around me, that there are successful, loving, fun and sexy women in the world and they do date men who are no more financially successful than they are. Best of luck to you in the search for fantastic partners

THATS NOT HOW STATISTICS WORK! You cant say that any specific case of a unlikely outcome is falsified because it is unlikely. People win the lotto even though the odds of that are terrible. Woman will get pregnant on the pill, statistically 1/100 if you are taking your own metric to be true. The rest of your argument aside, you should at least learn how statistics work.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/18 10:24 PM

Hell yeah, you can have a great relationship if you get what you want or need from it for the time. People dont say that a job was worthless if you dont retire from it. If a relationship teaches you something that helps you improve or you get what you need during that time (sex or intimacy) it was worth it for the time spent

You are gendering chores, my mom mows the lawn and changed her own flats as much as my dad. And neither of them could change a taillight. Just cause you havent seen it and you have a preconceived notion of what chores a man should do be a woman doesnt mean those are correct assumptions

No, there are plenty of submissive men and dominant ladies. Sexual preference is just that, ones preference sexually. Some people sexual preference and social preference line up, but one is not a compensation for the other. Thats what large jacked up trucks are for

Its been debunked in that its not 1 in 5 have been raped and reported it. But the 1 in 5 number still stands for experienced sexual misconduct, but show me otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/17 08:46 PM
4

I know this is anecdotal, but I don't know a single woman over 21 that hasn't been the victim to sexual misconduct in some way shape or form. So maybe my 100 or so women victims make up for the lack of victims in your circle.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/17 08:41 PM
7

1 in 5 isnt rapes reported to police, its sexual misconduct and most of it goes unreported, like a student that has a teacher constantly touching her inappropriately, or a boss that looks down a blouse when standing over an employee. These things don't get reported often because the perpetrator has power over the woman and they feel they will be retaliated against, no matter what the "Policy" is. That shit is far to common, and many men don't even think its a bad thing

Like what?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/17 03:29 PM

Because it isnt systematic, 4% is such a small percentage there are bad people in every walk of life, but when you look at the numbers about women who have been sexually harassed, its like 1 in 5 sometimes more. That is systematic, 5 times higher than this percentage. You can't stop all crimes, but if you see a certain crime is way more often than all the others like it, there's some systematic shit going on that you can actually address.

I think you are simplifying the exchange a little too much. These women aren't just hitting it and quitting, they want to be in these men's good graces so they get expensive dinners, drinks, vacations, jewelry, etc. Being around that kind of money, they get more free stuff than us normal people buy in a year. Not regulated, that's the opposite of the point. If people stopped saying terrible shit I wouldn't be able to avoid them before they DID the terrible shit. This way I can see the warning signs and remove them from my life, and warn others before they do anything bad. I want people to be honest with what they say, so that I can judge their character easily. If they censor what they say I won't know until its too late.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/17 04:57 PM
1

Yes there is. Especially on college campuses, where young men try to "get away with" as much as they can sexually instead of having serious conversations with their partners. And for normalizing violence? How about boxing, UFC, "Boys will be boys" when they fight in the school yard? Riots when sports teams win, or lose. Yes we normalize violence all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/17 01:11 PM
1

I bet you also think that evolution is a myth cause there are still monkeys. Of course it doesn't happen like that, but if you are constantly exposed to speech and culture that talks about woman as sexual objects and that the reason someone shouldn't hurt a woman is cause shes "someones daughter, wife, mom" and not just a human that deserves respect simply for that reason. It makes that leap easier.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/17 01:09 PM
0

Whatever, read the example how you will, the rest of my original statement stands. Its not the "light gossip" its the rape culture and violence normalizing talk that people get upset about.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/17 08:58 PM
0

Its the addition of the fact that HR is the only thing holding the person back. If they said, "I'd like to hit that" that would be less bad, cause that keeps her consent in the equation.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/17 08:47 PM
0

Its implies that her consent isn't needed for the person to have sex with Sandra, it implies that the only blocker is the fear of being caught. Its not necessarily violence, but it is rape. There are better examples of worse things to say but that doesn't change what I said. Its light gossip that makes people mad, its the bad shit that makes people mad.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/17 07:23 PM
1

No one is upset with "light gossip", its when men say stuff that normalizes rape and violence is when people have a problem with it. Saying "I hear Sandra hit reply all on an email to the whole firm asking to be taken off the distro, lolz" is fine. Saying "Did you see Sandra's dress today? If I wouldn't get hell from HR I would've hit that a long time ago." is a problem, cause it suggests her consent isn't important and that "HR" is the only thing stopping him from taking what he wants.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/17 06:45 PM
1

I would disagree, because they are at least having the conversation, if the statistic came out that only 1/10 women on college campuses are being raped, alot less people would care. Even though thats thousands of women, the stat isn't as eye catching. Society these days only pays attention to crisis, and they ignore the larger, but more mundane atrocities. So by combining those stats the issue gets the attention it deserves. The same thing happens across all issues you see in the media, Islamic …

Thats a false dichotomy, its not "rape" or a bum touch, alot of it is between full penetration and wondering hands while dancing. By including both you come to understand that this culture of ignoring consent (across instances) is pervasive at colleges. Grabbing bums at bars is a gateway sexual assault, you heard it here first.

If an average man lived in a populated city/town and went out multiple times a week and didn't care about being attracted to his partners I'm sure he could maintain these numbers for a time. But no one wants to have sex if there is NO physical attraction, so this is an unrealistic scenario.

Thats not dumb as fuck. Thats how you get consent. You can't just do something like that and hope its cool later. I know it sounds like something corny that adults say to kids on their first day of school, but honestly youll only be hurt by other people if you respect there opinions. Which is why we need to ostracize the ones that fuck it up. If you see someone who takes consent lightly, tell them thats not ok, call them out. In the end everyone (except the rapists) will be much better off for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/16 05:46 PM

So lets change that. Stop playing games, find other people who are fed up with playing games and be honest with them. Tell them you want to stop the games and you refuse to play them. Some wont understand and will leave but others will agree and youll end up having much better relationships, built on honesty and openness. Not just romantic relationships either but all. Be the change you want to see!

Oh alright, you scared me. Obviously there will always be rapists and murderers and what not. But if we start to educate men and change the cultural perception of consent, more men will realize what they think is ok is not. And that will hopefully stop at least some of the rape that is going on right now.

I know you are being sarcastic, but actually yeah thats about how it goes. Without the awkward wording of the third line albeit, but yeah thats what consent is supposed to sound like. Choking and dominating a woman is perfectly fine as long as you have explicit consent to do so. How is that hard to understand? If she doesn't ask for it or at least say yes when you ask to do it, then its rape. If she does ask or say yes, then its not. That simple

Just don't do anything without getting permission first. Go up to girl, introduce yourself, if she responds thats permission to continue the interaction. but I also wouldn't expect someone to raise a family on a McDonald's pay check. But people are trying to, because they couldn't get an education that qualifies them for anything else. There are a ton of people that do low/no skill labor as their career job. Those people shouldn't be starving, or homeless, or go into massive debt if they have a medical emergency. They aren't lazy, they are working 40+ hrs just like many of us, just not getting paid enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/16 09:51 PM

Because living with the bare minimum is miserable, so people would work so they can have luxuries and wants, not just needs. If you want to pay for that weed and alcohol then youll need work. No I don't need to work for it. You have to give it to me. It's my right, my entitlement under YOUR system. Thats not at all what we are saying. Thats not the system that we are proposing. This doesnt mean luxuries or anything other than the bare minimum is a right, that you have to earn.

/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/16 08:45 PM

Making the market freer would only allow the rich to take even more control. The poor and middle class would have nearly no power in a market where money talks and has no restrictions. EDIT: Also, the "Hard working" and "Lazy" dichotomy isnt true. There are many people that would love to work but do not have the ability or skills to get work that one can truely live on.

When the system is already set up in the rich persons favor and the options are either change the system to give everyone equal footing or work around it. If you haven't realized America is a pay to win country and if you are born into a family that has really any means at all it give you such a large head start ahead of people born into poor families.

Feminist definition of rape? From dictionary.com: unlawful sexual intercourse or any other sexual penetration of the vagina, anus, or mouth of another person, with or without force, by a sex organ, other body part, or foreign object, without the consent of the victim. Gonna tell me dictionary.com is feminist propaganda now? Its all about consent, its always been about consent, now a bunch of guys are crying that they cant get away with the rape they used to get away with.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/16 10:42 PM

What? No for rape to occur one person has to do something to the other without their consent. What you just said is extremely concerning and detrimental to stopping rapes.

Or just stop when they say no and get away from a woman that doesn't take a NO in the bedroom seriously. Unless you talk explicitly about a safeword other than NO, NO should not be used as a taunt or play. Its like shouting fire in a movie theater.

You are using the fact that there are other suffering groups as an arguement that we shouldn't help the originally specified suffering group. They are unrelated because the aid that is going to Group B wasn't going to Group A either way. They are separate conversations. We have the ability to help the refugees and if we don't many will die, if we do then our economy might suffer. Personally I would weigh peoples lives higher than the health of the economy.

What you are doing for the children in africa to help them from dying of hunger? Thats just misdirection. Its not like the resources are being taken away from those starving kids to help refugees. This isnt a question of who deserves it more, its a question of what can we do right now to help anyone that is hurting. And right now, we can take in refugees. We can also send food to hungry kids in africa, but thats a discussion for another thread.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/16 06:13 PM

Now let's look at refugees. Does the benefits (questionable) of refugees outweigh potential crime and rape? The economic benefits are questionable at best. Did you ever think to consider the benefits for the refugees, like not being killed by ISIS or another terror group? I feel like peoples lives should be weighed heavier against "economic benefit"

It would be the other women that are lying, all the feminists Ive been with are open and honest about that kind of stuff. Its the women that still hold onto social stigmas and "standards" that are the ones that are ashamed to say their N count.

Except that most rapes aren't by strangers. They are by "friends" or acquaintances. So it isn't as easy to identify the threat before its too late. In order to answer your original question, don't have relations with anyone you dont trust, and always go for enthuesiatic consent. Sure some random woman you bought a drink for at the bar could claim you raped her, just like I could claim you robbed me. Its just like any other crime in that way, and unfortunately that just something you have to deal…

Sure confidence will make you more attractive but when I say personality I don't mean alpha vs beta or confident vs drag of a guy. When I say personality I mean things like outdoor person vs city person, netflix and pizza night vs going out to clubs kind of person, republican vs democrat. The stuff that you consider when you choose friends. Imagine if you would still hang out with that person if they were your same gender. You are looking for a one size fits all linear step by step manual on how to fix relationships. I can't offer you one because I don't believe one exists. If communication isn't solving your dead br then you can try dread while keeping communication about your wants and needs open. If by the end of dread sex is getting better but the talking is hurting your relationship then you might want to reconsider your relationship. Sounds like you don't actually get along. Basically relationships need mult…

No, you asked that if the open communication is the issue then it wont work. But if she isn't attracted physically then working out and dressing better will work, if its a few other things then dread will work. But in the end if your personalities don't mesh then communication will always create issues for your relationship. Just because talking didn't help doesn't mean talking is the issue. It could just not be the solution. If your personalities mesh but there isn't physical attraction then ta…

If being open and honest is causing issues in the relationship then you two aren't meant to be together. Essentially that means that your true personalities don't mesh. So you can either act like someone you aren't in order to make the relationship work or break up and find someone who will like you for who you naturally are. If you think your partner is worth changing who you are then go for it. But its gonna be hard to keep it up constantly.

Saying stop violence isn't any actionable slogan, by qualifying it to stop violence against women, the movement can focus on specific issues that mostly effect women and therefor can be more effective. If the MRA platform picked up a stance of "Stop domestic violence against men" I would get behind that, and I would bet/hope that it would receive support. If the woman is very drunk I would at least ask her if she thinks she is sober enough to make these decisions. Possibly a better example would be a guy that is harassing a woman that is trying to get away from him then I would probably intervene.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/15 08:40 PM

You don't need to be a die hard altruist to stop a guy from taking advantage of a woman thats too drunk. If I saw someone breaking into a car and I didn't feel personally threatened I would try to stop them. You just need to have empathy. I wouldn't expect or even hope that the car owner pays me for saving their car but if they wanted to reward me I wouldn't turn them down (probably not).

Im really sorry that that is the case. Like I said, I consider myself fairly average so I dont observe the group of women that you must be looking at much. You were almost right at the end there. Im actually a white, suburban, hetero, male, born into a christian family. So I am part of the most privileged group in the world. Which is why when I say things like "Dont you want to change the world from being sexist" it is true empathy. I have zero self interest in that statement, in fact I have much to lose from it. But I realize that it is not fair to the under priviledged to continue culture as it is, therefor I want to change it. I am happy for you…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/15 03:05 PM
2

So I don't have much experience with this case as I identify as a pretty average man. But do you really think that there isnt a lowest women for the lowest man? And again, due to personal preference you may be the lowest to one women but far from lowest for another. I think there is a women for everyone but being at the bottom end there are just less options (because a 10 guy can date 1-10s while a 1 guy can probably only date 1-2 girls)
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/15 02:59 PM
2

Changing reality is too much work? Thats the root of the problem, because you are on the priviledged sign of the status quo you wont work to change it because you dont have empathy for those less fortunate. As for black crime rates, what does that have to do with racism?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/15 01:49 PM

Find a nice "bottom of the barrel" girl that has the same interests as you and date. I have empathy for men that dont cut it in the dating and sex market but everyone has to date around the same level as themselves. Obviously there is a little wiggle room based on personal preferences, but if you look like jonas hill you arent dating scarlet j, unless you are actually jonas hill.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/15 01:47 PM
2

And you dont want to change that? Thats what people were saying about racism before the 60's and things have gotten way better for minorities since then. I realize that people are sexist, thats what we should be working on to change, and to start you could change your opinion of the word "slut".
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/15 12:49 PM

You can judge them on their intelligence, looks, humor, shared interests. Whats wrong with a women just wanting to have sex and not settle down, Im assuming you have no problems with a man wanting to just have sex and not settle down. What do you mean "Used up?" Women don't have a number of times they can have sex in their lives and then have to stop. Thats not how biology works.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/15 06:51 PM

I don't think lying about your partner count itself would be sexual assault, I don't think its ok but I wouldn't say its sexual assault. But if you lied about being clean of STDs then I would say that could be sexual assault. If someone lying about partner count to cover up having an STD then I could see that being sexual assault as well. But without the STD thing I wouldn't say partner count should be sexual assault, just unmoral.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/15 09:23 PM

I know you were answering someone elses message but Im gonna jump in here. What if someone omited they had an STD before sex? Would that be considered sexual assault, or if a man lied about being infertile (vasectomy or something) or a women lied about being on BC in order to get pregnant and then the man is legally on the hook for the child. I think certain information being omited or lied about should be considered sexual assault.

You are saying that like men are powerless in saying if sex happens or not. Sex doesn't happen unless a man wants it to either. Its not like men are powerless to have sex with any women that opens their legs to them. Sex is a decision that two people make, they should both carry the responsibility. Is that too much to ask? Before birth control, I'm assuming women had more births and miscarriages (due to lack of medical stuff). I don't really know where you are going with that comment..

Convincing the man to not use a condom, how is this not the man's fault? If the man doesn't want to have a child, he should utilize the one form of protection he has at his disposal. We are talking about consenting participants here, he always has a choice to either not have sex, or to wear a condom. Why do you make the distinction between the decision to have sex and have a baby? If you have sex there is a chance you will get pregnant. Once pregnant the choice is between an abortion, and having…

Being promiscuous is a choice, having a penis isn't (no I'm not going to address sex changes). Please keep don't try to derail a good conversation with comments like this.

Do you not see that without child support, women take ALL of the responsibility for sex. Even in a situation where both parties consented, were protected, but both parties did not want a child, in the case that the women gets pregnant, she faces all of the consequences. She either has to go through an abortion or have a child that she then needs to care for financially and as a parent. I understand that you say life is not fair, but this seems a little lopsided if you ask me. The decision to hav…

That is very unfortunate that your ex lied to you like that, but that is ONE woman. If that happened to me, I would be furious with THAT girl not the whole female population. They may have more options but many of them either don't protect from diseases or fuck with their hormones, while condoms are simple, effective, cheap and don't have many side effects. I think we both can agree that men shouldn't be able to force a women to have a medical procedure on their body they didn't want. So would y…

You are saying those things like they are absolutes but I don't see any evidence to support those claims, please enlighten me. As for the child support thing, he decided to have sex with her, he decided to not wear a condom. He had plenty of say in the matter. Equality isn't about being the same, its about being treated equally, and no I do not mean like the 60's "seperate but equal" bullshit. The apple and the orange can be treated equally during growth, harvesting, transportation and sale. Doe…

You are comparing promiscious women to dog shit, and women having sex to men farting inside her. Do you not see how that could be seen as mean or non empathetic? I wonder, do you consider yourself a promiscuous person? If so then its fairly hypocritical of yourself to judge women for being the same way. If not, then leave those women for men who don't judge them and go find yourself a women who values non-promiscuity just as much as you do. That shouldn't be an issue as there seems to be more of…

I think that "just be yourself" isn't talking about hygene, kindness, and genearl demenor. I think it applies more to if you like videos games and tv don't go telling people you are a dare devil that goes sky diving on the weekends. You should always strive to be better looking, better smelling, and a better person, just do it in a way that you enjoy, not a way you think will attract more (member of gender you like).

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
