Not really. 5 is average and 10 is big modeling money looks. A 10 is someone who turns both men and womens heads. Selena is very pretty, but if you take away her fame and consider that Selma Hayek is a 8 (take away the breasts and what would she be), Selinas good looking but nothing that's exceptional.

This is true. It's also part of the reason video games are so popular. They're an endless escape from real life and other issues some people have. There's a fast growing number of people, especially men who are very content to work less ( whether that's less hours, or just accepting a lower skilled lower paid job) so long as it pays for the basics including an expensive gaming rig ($1,000 -$5,000). The escape they can get with modern immersive games can give them a huge number of enjoyable hours…

Okay, let's say you're correct and it's inevitable. If it comes to another civil war who is going to win? The gun shy liberals, or the gun friendly capitalists?

I'm assuming they want full on socialism or communism. I find it funny that certain people are so woke or whatever on certain things, but would say "Meh" to the idea of millions dead from brutal conflict, and a lower standard of living. Capitalism definitely isn't the best model, but it is the best we have for right now.

This is pretty much it. Most guys ( not the top 10%) have a wife range in their tastes, and the things you mentioned massively improve or decrease a woman "score" for most men in my experience. I just went to a destination wedding a few weeks ago of the wealthiest person I'm personally friends with. He married his long term GF of 20 years. He's also one of the nicest and my generous people I know. His wife is good looking, I'd say a 6 for most, but her personality and how she compliments him, ma…

You never know. She might really appreciate you not dicking around, being vague, leaving things uncertain, wondering if you're just looking to get laid etc. You might even find she loves it as she's never been invited on an actual date before vs "do you wanna get coffee".

Yes being formal gets you a real answer right away. If she's interested in dating you she'll say yes, propose a different day, or possibly propose a different place. If she's not interested in you you'll know right away, and avoid any wasted time and resources.

I'm in agreement with you, especially this part But at the same time, I found in all cases, many of them are emotionally stunted or unavailable because some boyfriend of theirs hurt them deeply. They find it easy to open up with me, but then become spooked when they feel things getting serious. To me, it seems like many people get deeply hurt by someone, but don’t do the painful work to become healed, and so continue to perpetuate the cycle. I know quite a few women who have done the whole cock …

and check in on whether our expectations and needs are met. I didn't add that part in the post as assumed it was a given, along with these conversations needing to be revisited from time to time. Being honest, I'm both shocked and disappointed with most of the responses (not yours though). So many of the responses are seeming to come across as of doing something for your partner to make them happy is a weird thing to do. To me they reek of selfishness.

In my opinion it's a red flag and a long term recipe for misery. My wife has a couple of close friends who did the whole staying with a guy for 5+ years multiple times with no talk of marriage and of course they're both not happy, and now both mid 40's with no kids. They both use the term content to describe how they feel. Neither is happy, abd both are very jealous that the rest of the group are all very happily married.

The USA is already takes in a greater number of immigrants annually than any other country on the planet. Society is for more than just finances though. Or if your girlfriend is not a hugger but you are, respecting that, not verbally, not in acts of service, just in being and not insisting on hugs. /r/PurplePillDebate13/01/23 08:20 PM

I would disagree that "love languages" are a great tool. They are a woefully inadequate way to try to encapsulate the way people communicate from an author who has no certification regarding anything relevant to being enough of an expert to comment on relationships. In my experience the issue is that too many people who talk about the love languages have never read the book. Have you read the whole book?

The issue usually is caused by a difference in spontaneous desire. Only 15% of women have a Spontaneous desire vs 75% of men do. The huge issue this causes massive problems because of PEA during the honeymoon period causing women who don't have a Spontaneous desire acting like they do have it during the honeymoon period. Once the PEA wears off their true sexual desire is revealed, and the man is left feeling undesired. The housework issue or other issues certainly come into play when the woman h…

If one makes substantially less then this applies. The standard deduction everyone gets is $13,850, unless you make less than this then there's no tax benefits. Having a spouse raises the limit to charitable contributions that can deducted based on income that a year. Again incorrect. Anyone can deduct 100% of all charitable contributions. You can donate 100% of your income and pay zero tax, as either a single or joint filer.

Lower paid spouse can pull higher paid spouse into lower tax bracket, This really only applies of one spouse doesn't work part time. higher limit for certain deductibles, This is not correct. What happens is they can combine their standard deductibles, but if both are working nothing changes. No estate tax if estate is left to a spouse, spouse can be tax shelter. This one is accurate. The deduction for filing jointly over separately is about double on average. Sure, but the overall tax stays the…

Most men who behaviorally kill their marriage dont officially file out of complacency, not because they ACTUALLY want to be married and act that way. I don't entirely disagree with this statement. But when you say behavioraly you'd have to clarify what that means. I don't think that subgroup of men is a significant number, especially when compared with their partners change in behavior. It's a chicken and the egg situation.

This is far more complicated than low libido vs high libido. A huge complaint from many men is that the frequency of sex starts dying once the honeymoon period is over (6 months - 2 years). Once women aren't receiving PEA anymore their higher libido and spontaneous desire usually dissipates. Only about 15% of women have a Spontaneous desire vs about 75% of men do. You should never assume a woman's libido is will be like what it is during the honeymoon period. Her true libido will reveal itself o…

No one is suggesting homophobia. This topic has been studied many times, and the results are always similar in that 65-82% of women say they couldn't date a bisexual man. Yep, I've seen all of those complaints from my make friends who are now divorced. One big one is when kids come along. You're not alone. Studies show that 65-82% of women say they could never date a bisexual man. And the main reason is due to their own insecurities and not biphobia. If a man is bisexual and isn't going to act on it, then he should keep that to himself.

You're missing the main point here. Which is that we're only talking about during a discussion or argument. It's not that the men don't have emotions, it's that they can put them aside completely (compartmentalize) when they need to. Surely you've has an arguement with a partner where things got a little heated, have you ever looked at what caused it to get heated? Typically what happens is you sit down to discuss ABC, and those are the compartments the man opens. But a few minutes into rhe conv…

No one is saying men don't have feelings, and women can't be logical. When people talk about men being logical and women being emotional: They're talking about most men or most women. It's more about how we discuss things, argue or think of resolutions. Men are able to compartmentalize much better, and put there emotions aside while having an arguement. Vs women for the most part really struggle to put their emotions aside. That's also not in anyway saying men can't or don't get emotional during…

No struggles there, I had a breakthrough many years back and learnt to truly self reflect. The reason for the 30 minutes - 2 hours is mainly to take time to self reflect. When I say self reflect I mean going back in time thought by thought, emotion by emotion to figure out the source of the issue. This is especially useful as figuring that out can also help prevent the same mistake in the future. I understand my wife better than she understands herself some of the time. You're suggesting that the correct, most rational way to deal with hurt feelings or negativity is to bottle it up or get over it. Yes, if things have been discussed and a mutual resolution has been reached, what's the point in holding onto the negative emotions. The logical thing to do is to feel your feelings and not put a box on them or hide them away. Absolutely true. But there's a time and a place for that, and doing it around your partner or others isn't it. I will admit that in my experien…

Because she herself doesn't know what she needs to squash her bad mood.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/23 04:17 AM
2

The difference in my opinion is the ability that most men have to compartmentalize when they need to. This is best explained as men's brains are like waffles with different emotions and thoughts being put into the little waffle dents, vs women's brains are like spaghetti, which all the emotions and thoughts connected all over the place.

As an addition, feelings don't just go away because you've been heard. That's silly to think. In my experience most men are either able to compartmentalize them, or use logic to get over them.

You're making some bold assumptions here, but that's probably my fault due to not explaining what I'm referring to well enough. I'm talking about after the things you've mentioned taking place. After I've listened, reworded it to show I've understood the issue, and after I've clarified with her thatbI understood the concern or issue, and after I've proposed a solution which she knows from experience I will follow through on,and she's still on a bad mood.

This isn't something that occurs often in our marriage. I'm using it as an example of the difference between men and women, and being logical vs emotional. I learnt long ago how to handle her emotions 95% of the time. From the responses so far I've clearly explained this difference very badly.

I'm not sure I'm fully understanding the analogy because part 1 had 2 people, but part 2 has 3 people. But yes, how can I help her feel better when she doesn't know what she'd need to address , her fever (antibiotics) or surgery for the gunshot wound.

It's most definitely not a communication issue. We resolved any communication issues well over a decade ago. Because men often rationalize their emotions as actually being completely “logical” step-by-step decision making. In my experience men compartmentalize their emotions so they can take a logical step by step process to make a decision or get to the route of the issue. And yes doing this is usually where most men mess up. It's fine to do this for yourself, but you cannot expect your female …

I was crazy in love with her. It was a completely selfless move. We didn't break up until the day she left, and got back together for around 3 months, 9 months later.

Of course they have both. I'm referring more to how they react to the emotions and their ability to either compartmentalize or move on. Or their ability to recognize when their emotions are completely irrational. E.g. if I'm in a bad mood and don't know why, I'll let my wife know, and let her know to ignore me or give me space for a set specific amount of time that I think I might need to get out of the mood (never more than 2 hours) usually only 30 minutes.

She admits that the level of emotional response and her need to hold onto it is irrational. I'm not talking about an arguement wutn a right/wrong or where she needs to agree. I'm talking about times where there's emotions involved and she herself doesn't know what would need to happen for her to "get over it".
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/23 02:53 AM

Because she got a sports scholarship to a great university, and wasn't going to take it because it would mean we'd be separated (she was 19).

Exactly this. In many ways we now have a perfect marriage and almost perfect life. She has almost no reason to ever be on a bad mood, yet it still happens. The issue isn't necessarily the mood, but rather holding onto it vs moving on or accepting a resolution.

She herself admits it's irrational. This isn't only my wife I'm talking about, it's something I've experienced with nearly all women. They hold onto the emotions vs letting them go or compartmentalizing them.

Most women struggle to state their needs as they’ve been primed to not do so since a young age. I disagree. I think it's because they don't know what they want. Do you have kids or family she constantly needs to take care of? Yes but it's not constant. We're both pretty much SAHP at this point, and I do the lions share about 60% of the time, and I provide all the income. Does she have time to think this thru and had the help in a healthy upbringing to know her needs and wants matter? Absolutely,…

When you hurt your partner it will take some time for them to feel better and more calm and it's not always dependent on what you do That's the emotional vs logical issue I'm referring to. Maybe they are extra tired, stressed or hormonal that day and they might need some extra patience and grace. If they communicate that then there's no issue.

She knows from experience that any changes she suggests and I agree with will immediately be implemented. Our typical method of arguing is almost never about who is right or wrong, but rather about finding a permanent resolution so those feelings and/or the issues discussed never occur again in the future. What I'm referring to here is more about her holding onto rhe anger for a certain period of time.

I already won the jackpot, I'm just giving an example of a major issue I've experienced in my own marriage and other friends marriages relationships. I think I was too vague in my post when I'm using the term feeling heard. I'm referring to situations where something or other has upset her, and she's mad or emotional about it, and I want to stop her feeling those emotions there and then. Does that make anymore sense?

Yes, but they chose to have the child. They also had the option to abort. My point is that it's not equality.

Explain please. All the other stuff you mentioned in your first comment is already being done. I'm talking about resolving things in the moment so her bad mood and negative energy cease almost immediately.

The purpose of the question is mainly in help to the future, not only at that moment. But the main purpose is to find out what needs to be said or done to stop her negatively emotions or bad mood there and then.

We're specifically talking about when women earn more than their partners. When this happens there's an 80% chance she'll initiate a divorce.

The real issue is they typically think emotionally vs logically and men feel lost due to this. I had some marital issues a good few years back and we did marriage counseling for a few months. One thing that strongly stands out was a session where we were discussing feeling unheard, the therapist asked what would I need to hear to make me feel heard and I was able to say ABCD, vs my wife was and still is unable to give any answer to that question to this day.

The thing you're missing here is that most men don't care much at all about her education or achievements, it can be a nice bonus sometimes, but not if it makes her too opinionated or causes an inflated sense of worth.

According to the incels, I should be having these women fall at my feet. That's not true. Even the best of the best pickup artists, only have a 10% close rate. I don't think I can stress enough the importance of just taking action. The pickup artists take lots of action. What the incels complain about is basically that women don't have try hard to have sex with an average man vs even a pickup artist only has a 10% success rate.

A man doesn't have any legal rights to stop her killing his child. If she chooses to keep the baby he can't opt outbof child support.

No, it's because women divorce them. They think they're too good for the man they chose once they make more.

In terms of gender specific privilege, the only thing I can think of is exemption from conscription, which is apparently a thing in some European countries. Being on the draft list (selective service list) is a thing in the USA too. Every boy is added at 18, women are not. As for gender specific privileges: more parental rights, lower sentencing for crime, women's shelters, assumption of innocence in domestic violence calls, assumption of being a victim if they cry rape........

Also, what do you mean “only women have reproductive rights”, which reproductive rights don’t men have? Women can choose to opt out of parenthood from an unwanted pregnancy by getting an abortion. A man cannot force her to get an abortion if he doesn't want to be a parent, and he cannot choose to not pay child support.

It doesn't have to be dark arts. There's a lot of good advice from Redhill. Their real issue is that too many people see it as gospel vs stuff that you've still got to feel out.
