Obvious. When I hear about a straight guy with a bunch of female friends it’s either one of two camps but either way you’re most likely a “man slave” and emotional tampon for them. The first guy is a feminine male who gravitates to women and is more comfortable with women platonically (maybe more so than he is men) but that doesn’t mean he is attractive or socially capable enough to have abundance with dating women. The second guy is less feminine but still gravitates to women and feminine energ…

While I agree with this comment I don’t think most modern feminists actually are striving towards that.

I think the post is saying women love men for what they do for them, internally and externally rather than for who they are. “Who they are on the inside” rather than who they are to me. They’re saying men’s love doesn’t rely on actions being done for or to them. They’re don’t love a woman because she goes on a date with them and has sex with them or marries them or cooks them dinner he loves her because he likes who she is, including the parts of her that do not benefit him externally.

I think it just means appreciating them for them and not for how their actions benefit you. Like I love a person because of their kindness and way of thinking rather than I love them because they protect me and are there when I need them

Idk. I love my daughter’s mom. She abused me for years emotionally, verbally and physically. I never really enjoyed being with her long term, only in brief moments when she wasn’t manic or hurting me. I was very insecure when we were together, but we developed a connection and I care about her a lot and want the best for her despite the terrible things she’s done. No I don’t want to be with her at all, but I do want her to be happy and thrive. I feel that way about all the women who I ever loved…

There’s definitely has to be some truth here. Guys who get lots of casual sex chase it and guys who chase sex kinda suck, I do not look up to those guys.

Guy commenting below sums it up. When I love someone romantic it ain’t lust and NRE and then building upon that.. it starts with a deep appreciation for who they are as person that’s separate from the behaviors they do for me. I don’t start a serious relationship with someone with the intention of ever leaving them, they’d have to betray me or show me I was wrong in my assessment of their character. Dating someone for six months and then “realizing” you can’t love them after they bring up moving…

What about Hopper from Stranger Things, Jason Mamoa, many other non problematic celebrities, athletes and characters, John Cena, Ted Lasso, Abbot Elementary. You mentioned Superman like there haven’t been 2-3 superhero movies a year with admirable male protagonist for the past 10 years. I don’t think these archetypes are rare in the media.

Oh yea society has definitely become less altruistic and more flippant as a whole. Still lots of good role models for both genders out there in the media if you know what to look for and care about.

It’s simpler than that: some guys have access to women and some don’t and the men who don’t emulate the men who do.

I struggled with my relationships with women when I was younger which lead me to the internet trying to find out “how to get girls”. First I gravitated to the PUA stuff more but that evolved into engaging more red pill content (mainly guys on YouTube and Reddit). I related and resonated with the ideas they shared and when I applied them I finally had some success with women I also had a better perspective on my previous interactions with women. I never fully agreed with everything I saw in the R…

The idea that women are less capable than men started way before jobs and bank accounts. I think you’re trying to hard to intellectualize the beliefs of powerful men from primitive times. “Is the idea that humans cant drop caveman culture?” I mean I wouldn’t call it caveman culture but yea I guess. Historically women were put into different less powerful roles by the different more powerful men that ran their societies, and for many societies that became the status quo. Your question boils down …

The root cause for women’s oppression by men throughout history is mainly money and biological differences that favor men. As that culture grew more expectations and harmful gender norms persisted, people refer to that culture as patriarchy
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/26 11:05 PM

The average man sees women as equal. A small powerful minority throughout history have disagreed and did things in their power to subjugate women, for probably a variety of reasons. It’s like saying KKK members hate black people because they’re jealous of their physical prowess and how beautiful we are… why are you seeking clarity for the beliefs of those who hate women? You really think most of us hate women?

You wanna help your brother? Be his friend. Listen to him. Ask him questions about his views. Debate with him. Challenge him. If he’s still being a dick ignore him because it’s probably mostly cause he’s an angsty teenager trying to discover his personality. Don’t argue with him just love him and if he makes you unbearably uncomfortable then it’s healthy to just avoid him until he gets out this phase. That’s atleast what I’d do if I were you.

I’m kind of a weird one. I’m non-monogamous but not really into casual sex, I prefer to only have sex with people I like enough as friends and are able to fit into my life, I don’t do hook ups, at the same time I could not just be happy in a completely monogamous relationship idk I just value clarity and freedom too much.

I stopped making assumptions about the behavior of people if I wasn’t sure about it. I don’t know every woman. Have I known women who show traits of what the red pill says? Yes. Have a met women who haven’t? Yes. I don’t make judgements about people if I don’t know them, and I’m relatively social so I’ve met a lot of people. I still struggle with dating sometimes and animosity towards women from bad experiences but that’s ok and a part of being human. I no longer subscribe to a limited world vie…

RP isn’t completely untrue more so that in the real world peoples reasons for their decisions and choices are much more complex than what the red pill preaches. When it comes to your own personal ideology it really just boils down to what you value and seeking that. Why does it matter the dating decisions women make if those decisions don’t align with you? You’d just never really have to deal with those type of women. RP claims all women are this way but you can discover pretty quickly they’re n…

They’re just videos. They don’t reflect the views of real world women as much as you think. Even some of the women who make misandrists type videos often do for engagement and don’t actually share those opinions or carry so much vitriol towards men. Try to get opinions from women irl.

I think if you love him you just need to continue to sit down and talk to him about watever views you guys don’t agree on. If you try to force him or shame him into not engaging with the content (which he’s saying he agrees with) it’ll just drive you further apart. If it’s really something that you just can’t tolerate I’d break up before those feelings get worse. I think it’s not fair to say he’s “insecure” the same could be said about you getting upset about him watching content. If his behavio…

Women are amazing. They’re adorable. The way they connect with each other so easily. The energy they bring when they’re enjoying themselves. There so amazing to look at from all shapes and sizes. Femininity is really beautiful and women embody it naturally

Why wouldn’t it be unfair in reverse?< It easier for a woman to be promiscuous than a man. I’d have 100 partners by now if that wasn’t the case. Yes I am envious. So? I’m also in therapy. Also my standards aren’t changing.

Most women want a guy who’s confident enough to approach them, pay for dates and generally be a leader yet they themselves aren’t willing to do the same things. It’s a double standard, who cares really? I didn’t always want to be promiscuous but people have desires and sometimes feel the need to be touched and I am NOT emotionally ready for anything serious. If I had more sexual partners than my woman (regardless of what her number was) I wouldn’t really care, but the idea that it’s common for g…

Yup! Why would I want to commit to a woman who’s been with more people than me? Personally I don’t really care that much about N count but less partners will always be better. The idea of committing to a promiscuous woman disgust me.

I’ve made the decision prior to fucking her that it would just be sex so after I get the sex it doesn’t matter what she does, but I know deep down that she may be trying to prove herself as a girlfriend (even when I’m upfront about my intentions) so it feels uncomfortable.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/21 01:41 PM

Cuddling I enjoy it but I toss and turn a lot in my sleep so I go in and out of it. I hate it when a woman makes it a big deal if I decide not holding her while I sleep. Women’s body’s can be heavy and uncomfortable when on top of you and I can’t stand having hair in my face.
