Are you really serious? Yes. Don't you even look at what you write? I look at it and understand it. The first response from me to your comment was because you said, and I quote, "doing somebody else a favour is always a sacrifice." This statement is not equivalent to the statement "sacrifice = favor". The relation "=" is symmetrical, unlike the statement you quoted. I still don't see the contradiction you are alluding to. Could you spell it out for me? I'm taking about guys that are exclusively …

How can you not understand what you write? How can sacrifice = favor, even after you found dictionary definitions that you agree with. Where did I say "sacrifice = favor"? Could you please quote me to make clear you respond to what I write and not how you interpret what I write. it's better for the guy for sure, but not for the girl every time. I agree. I was a bit sloppy and should have clarified what I meant by "isn't it better". My point is that a guy helping out a girl who isn't into him is …

Nah, it's not about being repaid, it's about being helped when in need. So it's like an insurance? Besides any single relationship is transactional, that's just the nature of human relationships. What changes is how you view and treat those exchanges. You are just talking about how you frame the interaction and not what is happening. For you they seem sacrifices because I guess that you value your time/are incredibly busy with important stuff; then it actually is a sacrifice. This is not about m…

In the second sense, "sacrifice" implies that it's something you wouldn't do for its own sake, but that you're doing for some other goal-- for instance, because I want my partner to get me a Christmas present, or because I believe it is my moral duty to make him happy. If your partner stopped doing anything for you, would you still do stuff for them? In the second sense, actual nice guys are not sacrificing, because they view good deeds as innately satisfying, instead of viewing them as a necess…

You have a really strange concept of favors, what makes you say that it's always a sacrifice. Your are sacrificing all the other things you could be doing at this time. My friends are quite happy with me and I'm sure that at any point I can rely on one of them for literally anything. So your friendships are in fact transactional. This supports my point that people in general, not just OP's supplicant's, want to be somehow repaid for the favours they do.

No? When I make my partner a Christmas gift it makes me happy. You are still sacrificing time and other resources. I'd make him a Christmas gift even if he never got me one. I bet that your partner does all kinds of other stuff for you and that your relationship is transactional. Even if they know, it's still tedious to have to think about it. What you call tedious is the bare minimum for a polite person. It's lovely to be with someone you can rely on to express their preferences clearly. So sup…

The Actual Asshole: Mean. Makes fun of people he doesn't like. Fucks girls, promising a relationship, and never calls. You wouldn't like him when he's angry (and he's always angry). I don't like this description. If a guy wants to have sex with a girl, he will usually be nice (or whatever fuels her engine) to her. How he treats her is a very poor indicator of his character. What is more telling is how he treats people that he wants nothing from. Genuinely likes people and wants them to be happy.…

Schrodinger's rapist is not about seeing men as rapists This might not be the intention, but the text of the post says that strange men on the street are rapists and not rapists at the same time. 19/20 men are not rapists, but the 1/20 is enough to cause women to be cautious. In almost all cases of you encountering a rapist on the street you won't get raped. Your 1/20 number has little to do with the risk of being raped by a stranger on the street. I'd advise that men adopt this attitude towards…

Shooting up a school is just an extreme example of what men turn to under the emotional anguish of not receiving female validation. Most men never do this no matter how little female validation they get. Women never reach that level...wonder why? Neither do most men. Btw, I guess the answer is that almost no woman is "a Sicilian".

but I think we should perhaps ask some questions regarding why this is happening and show the victims more compassion than you have! Are they asking for my compassion? When was the last time you had a female outlier shoot up a school? I can't recall a female school shooter. Let us say there has never been one; what does this prove?

If men don't need women then why do so many young men commit suicide? Because they want to end their life. Aren't you pro choice? When was the last time a young woman walked into a high school and shot it up? People who shoot up schools are outliers; I don't see what general trend you can draw from their behaviour.

The "10 hours walking in NYC as a woman" video made the point that greeting a strange woman on the street is an instance of street harassment. The "Schrödinger's rapist" blogpost made the point that women see strange men as rapist. If one listen's to feminists, believes them and takes them seriously, then interacting with women as a man is toxic. I would welcome feminists staying out of the dating world, but unfortunately they don't.

If the defunding limits their ability to perform abortions, then tax payer's money was indirectly used to fund abortions and they should defund Planned Parenthood.

"Boy" already refers to a minor male usually. 15 is old relatively for a minor.

Why would she pick one that was worse than all of those? Why should I care? The more important question is if the looks of the parties involved should be used as one factor to determine if what happened was rape.

defunfing places to get an abortion Could you explain what you are referring to here? In the US it has been illegal for quite some time to fund elective abortions with tax payer money.

Curious argument. Does this apply to cases in which a 15 year old had sex with a very, very ugly 16 year old?

The boy in this case was 15, this is not a "young boy".

Many rape fantasies include a loss of control, so that the woman (just talking about the fantasies of women here) can't say "no" or her "no" has no bearing. This is a coercive situation and no matter her internal state, her consent shouldn't count in a court of law. For example if a woman is in prison and a guard comes onto her. She might well desire him, but the situation is such thather ability to refuse is significantly compromised. In my opinion this is about intimacy and lack of personal bo…

Is that what you call alpha? In the context of sexual value it is women who define which men man is "alpha" by choosing or rejecting sexual partners. This is not a quality of a great leader: dominant This likely depends on the situation, sometimes being dominant and without scruple can be necessary for a leader; sometimes people need to fight, kill and subjugate to survive.

Or, she could have a more male brain (I'm a student in a very male dominated field) and hence different attraction patterns than other women.

In the context of TRP, alpha refers to sexual success. Putin does come off an alpha, but that has a lot to do with his personality, not just his position. Shouldn't it all be about how successful he is with women and not about how he comes off? I sometimes see people describe "alpha-characteristics" like looks or behavioral features, but ultimately whether these traits are alpha depends on what happens in reality.

Smelling nice and looking good doesn't just happen. Assuming a woman is healthy, if you are not attreacted to her natural smell you are not attracted to her? And what can a woman do to look nice other than be healthy? Many things that are advertised to women, like makeup, are ridiculous and frankly a bit gross. Maybe I just don't get it because I am a heterosexual guy and only other women and gay guys can judge a woman's beauty.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
