The fact that they removed your post says more about them than words ever could. Anyway, I agree. The father, nor the child should suffer the consequences of a rapist’s actions.

Apparently not. They have a “you’re either with me or against me” mentality. It’s very cult like (and I grew up in a religious cult, so I know from experience). To quote Obi Wan Kenobi “only a Sith deals in absolutes.”

What’s funny is that not long ago I saw a post on [r/askfeminists](r/askfeminists) asking why this sub and another one weren’t banned, claiming we were “misogynist”. Lol. They really can’t look in the mirror.

Source? “My source is I made it the fuck up.” Even then, let’s say you’re right. That’s still pretty young, especially since this version hasn’t found the X-Men yet. It doesn’t make what she did ok and if this were real life instead of a movie she would’ve needed to be put on trial, but the circumstances didn’t allow for that, and she did redeem herself narratively even though not legally. I’m not “giving her a pass” I simply understand basic superhero tropes (like was done in the last fucking S…

I mean, Jean isn’t a good person even when she’s a hero, and 99% of mutants tend to misuse their powers at first. Your problem is that you’re comparing a teenage girl with buckets full of trauma and a dangerous power she was born with to fully grown adults (the “infected by madness” only applies to Doc Oak and Electro. Green Goblin too, but he was a horrible person even before the serum). But guess what, even then they still helped those villains too because that’s what Spider-Man does, he saves…

I hate the stupid love triangle that always surrounds her and I think she’s either a pretty boring or really frustrating character in pretty much everything I’ve seen her in. The only version of her I actually liked was the X-Men Evolution version.

Even as a die hard Jean Grey hater, this is ridiculous. Have you ever seen a three dimensional villain and a redemption story before? She’s a teenager with a dangerous power and loads of trauma. That doesn’t make what she did ok, but it doesn’t make her a complete irredeemable monster like Green Goblin or Carnage. This isn’t “toxic feminism”, it’s a tale as old as time. A hero who saves both the villain psychologically and the people the villain was hurting physically (which is one of the most h…

War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength. Discrimination is equality.

It’s just an excuse they use to justify hating men and wanting to exterminate them.

I’m looking forward to seeing it.

What really gets to me about the “patriarchy hurts men too” argument is that it’s only used as a deflection. If they’re really about equality, why aren’t they the ones talking about these issues? Why do they only use it as a shield and not see these issues as injustices? Why do they only acknowledge men’s issues when it’s convenient for them?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
