Lol I am very tall, in shape, low body fat and women almost never glance at me. I look and look and look but there’s just nothing coming from them that shows they even notice I exist, let alone indication of interest. That’s the most brutal part. Feeling like I just don’t exist to women in my age range. But old ladies and men compliment me a ton!

Most of the men I know who are with a woman objectively more attractive than he is met her through a lot of luck. They had personality to capitalize, but heavy luck. They were placed together in some situation where they had to spend a lot of time together, or shared a niche interest. Work, neighbors, getting lucky and having a hot single girl join a club you are in, etc

Nah. I am 43 and the youngest (23-27) and oldest (43-49) matches I get reply the most regularly and show most interest. The 30-somethings are the ones with the most match+no reply or super low effort responses.

I do stop. But it’s still frustrating that a much larger percentage of women simply won’t follow along with a playful frame. For example, “Hey” gets a substantially better OLD response than a thoughtful question or a witty remark. Often she will ignore your fun question and just respond with Hey to it. If you make her try, she’s gone.

I’ve been back in the pool after doing a lot of dating in the 00s. The main reason for lack of fun with women is their lack of engagement. There’s a massive difference in the level of effort women put into dating these days. I remember pre-Tinder dating where women would write paragraphs about themselves on dating sites and write long, thoughtful responses to my long, thoughtful messages. It’s not even straight out rejection. It’s an obvious DGAF that abounds among women these days. It’s like pl…

Probably better for attractive people. I have never been able to make this work as the women are surrounded by friends and I don’t have any friends who are able to go to concerts anymore. All kid stuff all the time.

Agreed with the sentiment, but what happens when he’s acting like he’s not interested, and she’s doing the usual woman-thing of ignoring him? Then nothing at all happens? I have been married and in relationships for long stretches and when I stopped actively looking for women things completely stopped. Not one iota of interest for years on end. Maybe I’m not good looking enough to get women to initiate with me.

I experimented with writing really controversial stuff on Tinder, really sexual stuff, etc and it had some negative impact on matches and absolutely zero impact on the conversations that followed. To a shocking extent. On Tinder women won’t read bios, especially those women under 40. It’s all photos. Bumble is designed to make you scroll past the bio for photo #2 so I get a lot more engagement on what I write there.

I am your height and I do feel like I get noticed but the only group not noticing me are women in my age range. I live in an area of lots of retirees and it’s dramatically different with the older women, who behave like guides to “how women flirt” say they do.

I usually get the indications I am attractive from everyone except women in my dating pool. 55+ women, men, even kids make comments suggesting I’m above average. Past girlfriends did too. People find me very approachable when it’s a random asking for directions in my city. But absolute radio silence, zero AIs from women ages 25-49

So much of “it just happened” was logistics…she was single, looking to meet someone, etc This is why I prefer OLD. At least in theory it narrows the pool so you don’t have to wade through all the approaches that were DOA based on a variety of bad logistics

Unpopular opinion possibly, but what if you didn’t try at night game? I’m 43 and if I could rewind my life I would have leaned into my awesome success in OLD and never tried all the mostly fruitless chasing of women in bars and clubs. 80% of the good outcomes and quality women came from the 20% of my effort I put into OLD. Most of my expenses, time wasted, frustration, and wear on my body came from trying to be a purist and pick girls up the “old fashioned” way.

It’s a good time to practice approaching since you are leaving this area soon anyway. Nothing to lose!

Most people, even pro bodybuilders, can train a max of 2 hours a day or so.

You will not make her feel any emotions if you can’t talk to her for at least a few minutes. That’s where looks matter. There’s lots of guys who could bring tons of great emotions to a girl who won’t get anywhere near that far because she autopilot rejected them on approach or swiped left on them on an app.

Women will date an average looking guy over the long term much more willingly than men will. I will give you that. Looks are definitely important in the early stages of any social interaction. Most desirable women have a lot of opportunities and looks are an easy way to narrow those opportunities. It’s like a job interview process. After the unqualified candidates are culled, usually there are 10-20 candidates in the pool who could all credibly do the job. But you can only interview 5 in the ava…

While being in high school is a lot different from picking up women in their 30s, I have noticed a major lack of basic social skills among women since being out of the game and in relationships for over a decade. Basic conversation starters go nowhere. Men have to lead the entire conversation and prop it up. No interest from them in my life. These are the same exact women who were engaging to talk to in their 20s but now forgot how to have a conversation Maybe it’s best to not force a relationsh…

Interested in hearing them. I guess I’m attractive enough to get dozens of matches every day in any major city I have tried. But the conversation quality is generally poor and women are super resistant to escalation or anything in a sexual frame. I have even tried writing stuff on a practice Tinder bio about being an experienced dom and being able to have wild multiple orgasms from my own thoughts. In the 50 or so conversations I have had on that account in a couple days, not one girl mentioned …

This is what I go for. But there’s just no interest in having a sexual conversation or even a playful/witty/sarcastic one. The playback isn’t there. It feels like I have to get through a certain number of banal messages then ask for a traditional date and so on. The quality of dating app banter has dropped enormously since I was last on them a few years ago.

Thanks will have a look. Get boatloads of matches and convos but anything sexual is usually an immediate end to the conversation even with women who will eventually have sex with me

I would call it boring, safe, playing-not-to-lose game. Just moving medium speed, nothing polarizing, nothing sexual, hanging out and waiting enough time (2-3 dates) before things inevitably happen. Direct game, polarizing stuff, or having any kind of strong personality or frame simply doesn’t work for me with any consistency. They don’t get playful with it, they just walk.

I’m doing extensive text and online practice and real world activity. I get lots of matches, messages, etc and if anyone accused me of this she’s being deadly serious and if I agree and amplify she’s taking that face value and leaving. I find it very hard to get at all sexual, play any type of “bad boy” role, etc without them just disappearing. And I have been starting mild with this stuff. They just won’t accept any frame other than their own, even if interested in me. I haven’t found any succe…

Nothing will better prepare you for making a woman cum or even just understanding her experience than having a prostate orgasm. I am bi and once I learned how to do that a lot of the rest made sense. Also made me quite envious of what her experience is probably like.

Don’t use any disqualifiers on your bio. That’s the whole point of your swipe. It’s very hard to list a bunch of “no blank, blank, blank” and not come off as surly.

This is the hardest part of seduction. Picking up guys. A lot of people make the “having like minded male friends” part sound so simple, almost a given. But for me it’s my #1 sticking point, especially as a guy in my early 40s in a new city. I don’t live in the D but I wish this thread got more traction.

43 and childfree, but dating under 35 even with a very attractive lifestyle, very tall, in shape is hard. The hardest part isn’t the girls it’s finding guys to go out with. My peers are all in full Dad Mode. Being solo and much older is tough. I feel it’s like running with lead weights on my ankles.

It’s very difficult because all the men my age are off raising kids in the suburbs so nobody to go to festivals with, and any approaches will be me going into a group of 3-10 women at once. 25-30 year old me did it pretty well. I need a younger wing. Or any wing.
