Autistic women mask to a far greater extent than autistic men because they are socialised from the get go to be more agreeable and friendly in ways that men aren't. Women certainly aren't liked for their directness, far less their bluntness. And Aspergers as a term isn't used anymore. There's lots of research that has been done on this. You needn't be making stuff up on the topic.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/25 11:46 PM

Emotion Regulation and Emotional Intelligence are very different things and the fact that you aren't aware of that kind of underlines the point about women having higher EQ lol.

I'm definitely not discounting that it's becoming popular as an ideology, we've had 2 attacks allegedly with the impetus of 'incel culture' here in the UK alone. My dismissal is due to the cherry-picked bad-science which lies at its foundation. There's a lot of very popular ideas based on nonsense of course. I understand that it's something to cling to in times of hopelessness.

I love it when people quote parts of a comment that's one or two sentences long as if I won't know what you're referring to. Further to that you could much quicker refer to what I said in your own sentence. Also smacks of taking all of this far too seriously lol.

I have no interest in what 'Red Pillers' think, the ideology is based on complete nonsense. My comment is about the fact that her accomplishments aren't mentioned in any description of Lauren, for or against clown-piller logic.

Err, she's pretty accomplished too! "She is a licensed pilot and founder of Black Ops Aviation, an aerial film and production company." Stop being so ridiculously shallow.

Nah - there's tonnes of very attractive men out there who are as thick as shit and incapable of proper conversation, they're just as unlikely to get into a relationship with me as your category 1s.

Do you have a realistic and adequately nuanced assessment of women's behaviour and motivations that isn't plucked straight out of an evolutionary psychology textbook? Lol. Didn't think so.

The majority of the Western world's population are overweight or obese and are also in romantic relationships. Rather than trying to put words in my mouth, can you elaborate on what you mean and own your opinion?

Do you think women orient all their life choices towards increasing the likelihood of getting a man? The narcissism is off the scale lol.

'Coaching someone into being a human being or an adult'? Where are you getting this from? Coaching means the same thing in both professional and personal life. You clearly have a story that you've fabricated for yourself around this which is quite different from anything generally understood about the term. So I don't think there's much point continuing to try and find common ground which evidently doesn't exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 12:01 PM
1

I would say that's very much a problem with perception rather than the word itself. The most powerful leaders in the world receive coaching on a regular basis. However, as someone who works in a talking profession myself I'd be quite reluctant to engage in any coaching with someone in my personal life because I'm not being paid and it's not necessarily appropriate. If the guy requires coaching then he should be paying for his own outside the relationship. Coaching is a weird choice of word but i…

Tell me something I don't know :) However, OP has written as if to assume that the 'coaching' is unwanted 'mental abuse' as default. It's a load of nonsense, there's no two ways about it let's be honest.

How did you get from 'coaching or improving him' to 'mental abuse and degrading'? Emotional support isn't abusive, you sound incredibly confused.

Sure, there is no reason for women to be compelled to change traditions that benefit them and I don't think most men would want changes either. That doesn't change the fact that there are women 'irl' that like to buck trends and that this is happening moreso these days. I agree that on the whole women need to reach a certain stage of emotional security in a relationship before they feel safe enough to and have the inclination to behave romantically towards a male partner. And this makes sense. I…

I think the problem is that you're seeing this interaction as a potential argument whereas I'm not. I did not take any 'shots' at you. I simply pointed something out as interesting. I have indeed addressed your post in its entirety including points about how even lesser people have their own matches. I think you need to loosen up a bit :) Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Your title literally says what makes a woman a bad woman. I'm sorry if me pointing that out makes you feel defensive but it's no reason to project the issue onto me. I'm aware that I went slightly off topic at the end but such is life. It's my study area and I enjoy talking about these things. Maybe come back when you're able to converse with a level head.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 07:04 PM

It's interesting that you understand a bad person to mean not a good potential partner and assume everyone else makes the same connection. People with widely understood negative traits still have their matches in the opposite and same sex, depending on their sexuality. Universally a poor choice of female partner might be a woman who's 'high maintenence', a gold digger, unfaithful, jealous, 'psycho', needy, controlling.. but for each individual there will be large variation is who is good / right…

Surely it's something of a bell curve lol, otherwise the most successful women in dating would be anorexic. Men are subconsciously attracted to signs of health and fertility, physically, and a partner who is willing and capable of meeting their goals.

Women are definitely romantic within the relationship itself in my experience. What you're talking a lot about here is the tendency for men to pursue the woman in the first instance and the tradition of the man proposing. Although more women are proposing these days than before, in heterosexual relationships. The 'woo-ing' stage is usually done by the man in heterosexual situations. I would imagine that like a lot of other traditional relationship dynamics this has evolutionary roots and remains…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 04:55 PM

It's not an arbitrary trait though. There are evolutionary roots to the preference for a taller man in heterosexual relationships. Due to height being a sign of strength, protection, and status.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 03:31 PM

I never knew male shortness was such a big deal or even a thing people thought about until reading posts on this sub. Certainly have never seen posts about it outside reddit and definitely haven't bullied any men or boys about height. Never even remarked on it either way. Ex male partners have been shorter than me. Saw the male height thing mentioned on a podcast where Chris Williamson had William Costello on his show. That was about incel culture stuff. I'm thinking this is maybe another of tho…

Firstly, this isn't something that you can make generalisations about across a whole gender and secondly the sexual energy itself provides the impetus to behave in certain ways. It doesn't really feel like an effort per se. But I'm not sure that it's sexual energy that men are referring to when they complain about women not exerting effort. This appears to be moreso general behaviour in a dating / relationship sense. Which isn't 100% based on sexual feelings, there are many other interpretations…

No I haven't, but I've read about how they work and heard people talk about their experiences. It may also be a cultural difference. In the UK I've never heard of them being done like this. Perhaps we're just more mindful of these things.

That's not how it works at all. It's a business, they aren't going to purposefully orchestrate a situation that encourages people to feel dejected and humiliated. The reality of these events is that people are scored on forms and contact details are given to people with their consent if they choose to be open to the idea of meeting again after the event. It's all rather discreet because they want to avoid what you described. You're talking rubbish.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/25 09:50 PM

What about you?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/25 06:59 PM

I spent a lot more time on the build and decor of my first household than the couple of others after it. Same with effort on details of the Sims too. I need to slow down with the others but I rush because I just want a new dynamic to play with. I'm into both gameplay and the building side. I watched like an hour long tutorial on build tips but mine are quite basic in shape so far. I don't try and murder my Sims lol.

There is no such thing as a male loneliness epidemic. Loneliness is an issue for both genders. It just seems that men seem to think it's more important when it concerns them not getting their dick wet.

I would hazard a guess that the majority of people don't care or even notice if unwanted men drop out of dating. Noticing something 'across the internet' doesn't really say much about real world attitudes. On the Internet people are often just looking for something to have a moan about. Those that are positive or neutral about it are less likely to say anything. It's like when people review services and products. Someone is far more likely to write about a negative experience than a positive one…

Women aren't responsible for giving dating advice and at the same time it's up to you to critically analyse the advice you're getting and decide what you think is worth following. Women aren't a monolith anymore than any of your friends are. If you're good with people in general it's likely you'll be good at dating.

What on earth are you talking about? Coming into which country? Which religious beliefs? You need to back your ideas up with factual sources. You can't just make things and expect to be taken seriously. Especially saying things like that lol.

Marrying before having children is not a belief, it's a behaviour. And married parents lead to better outcomes for the child as I just mentioned. You are repeating yourself so I will repeat my response but after that you'll need to start coming up with better ideas because this far the idea of marriage being religious and good parents being more important are both wrong. Good parenting is synonymous with marriage. Marriage is declining but is in no way dying out as a practice. In fact in England…

It's unnecessary to compare it to anything else. Unless you're trying to avoid the fact that calling single mothers stupid and poor is anything but a baseless insult. Either talk about precisely what you said or don't bother.

Children of married parents have better social, emotional, and cognitive outcomes than children of unmarried parents. Marriage hasn't been a religious value for a very long time. It's a financial and stability related decision.

Marriage rates are reducing but it's definitely still a norm. So what's your definition of good parents?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 05:55 PM

But it's not. It's a social norm, not a personal belief. What are you actually trying to say? Read back over your comments because you aren't really making any sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 05:02 PM
1

🤣 You said they were personal beliefs.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 04:49 PM
1

That's not a personally held belief though is it. Only 22% of people who get married these days do so using a religious ceremony or religious officiants. So what are you actually talking about?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 04:18 PM
2

What do you mean? Marriage rates are already declining. But that's not what the original debate here was. You were saying marriage was occurring in the present day due to personally held religious beliefs. Which is false on the whole.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 04:13 PM
2

It's a social convention and tradition - the behaviour isn't based on values aside from following convention. Originally it was religious but the practice can continue without its original intention. It's not rocket science.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 03:53 PM
1

You're on a debate subreddit, you can't expect to just make shit up and have it taken seriously lol. As I already mentioned - it's clear you just wished to insult with zero factual basis. Pathetic really.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 03:51 PM
3

LOL. No they don't. It's associated with stability of the relationship, the notion is that that is necessary before considering starting a family. You sound incredibly out of touch.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 02:59 PM
2

You think that single mothers are of low intelligence and low sociodemographic? Because it sounded like you were just being purposefully insulting. I wasn't aware you have actual data on this? For obvious reasons women in that situation are in a difficult financial situation often but unintelligent? What data do you base that assumption on?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 02:57 PM
2

Yes but in the current day the fact that religion is, in part, personal isn't relevant as marriage is more of a social convention than something associated with religion.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 01:56 PM
5

People may get married in a church but a significant amount of people who get married are not remotely religious lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 01:44 PM
2

There's no such thing as a typical single mother. Is there a reason you feel so derogatory about them? I would say that the majority of people aren't silly enough to make such a sweeping generalisation about such a large demographic of women.

It's not something that's ever worried me. If I wanted kids I have plenty of opportunity to take that path. But the last thing I want is snotty screaming kids and a husband getting in the way of the lifestyle I've created. People make different choices and have different priorities. It's not wise to make broad statements and assumptions about all women and what they want. There's plenty of voluntarily child free women. It's extremely hard logistically? Is that the only sort of challenge it would pose? Logistics? 🤣 There are many men who rely on women for money and sit at home doing nothing while they work. Money is necessary for basic Maslow needs. It's not about gender differences in what is sought from the marriage itself, once it's over. Otherwise what's the point in it being over if, by your understanding, both parties are continuing to contribute what they did during the marriage. Sex must be voluntary an…

Those are 2 extremes. My perception of what they're saying isn't that they say they thought it was mainstream. There's a bit of hyperbole in the first few sentences but it just sounds like normal exaggeration used to emphasise meaning - they haven't used word mainstream or said that it has become something the majority of people are doing.

You're viewing the situation very differently to people who have chosen to engage in the movement. Which is what it is rather than a protest. Lots of women don't wish to have a relationship with a man or any children. I mean that's the fundamental aim of the movement. You seem to have missed the point somewhat. It's perfectly possible for a woman to have a happy and fulfilling life without men.

I don't think that developing these feelings at a later stage denotes dishonesty. Friendship is a great foundation for a romantic relationship. There are plenty of couples who started off as friends. The idea that people are reluctant to change the status of a relationship isn't necessarily true.

Of course there's no one size fits all. But I'm sure a lot of research has gone into trends and precursory patterns to inform perpetrator programmes and prevention. Drug and alcohol abuse have the potential to exacerbate and already violent potential but won't cause it in someone who didn't have that intention already. So what makes you think men used to be more dangerous? And do you now understand why non monogamy is not advantageous for women?

It's likely that more than one woman will want to date the man you're interested in, yes, but non-monogamy is not what women want. What makes you think men were even more dangerous to women then? I feel as if men have more drivers to behave like they do nowadays via feelings of inferiority - I'm not at all saying they're valid reasons but based on what actually happens. That isn't true. Social advantage doesn't run as deep as the evolutionary and biological need for a man to commit properly so he is there to look after her and the children. We're attracted to people with the most symmetry (noticed in the face primarily) and this is because it's a sign of their biological / cellular homogeneity.. thus health / ability to reproduce healthy children. All of the main features of human attraction are based on fertility and health.

The second half of your sentence doesn't really make sense grammatically so I'm not sure exactly what you said. It very much depends on what the individual defines as success. Values are very personal and not something to be ascribed by other people. Traditions are still valued in current cultures, regardless of your opinion. That's why we perpetuate them. Some of the marriage traditions have been changed as we evolve and progress. For example many women no longer mention 'to obey' their husband within their vows. To continue saying would be a quantifiable power imbalance. As opposed to your issue here regarding spending a few seconds on one knee. Also women are proposing nowadays, more than they used to.

If you're marketing a product you want to first know who your target audience is. Identifying gaps in the market is one way to go about it, but be aware that if you are aiming for universal appeal then you're in competition with everyone else who already has with the same offering. I mean what is it if it's not a personal goal? Lol. People manipulate others and are manipulated - it actually isn't always a negative thing. We persuade and encourage and try to prove our worth to people. It's all social transactions and payoffs at the core. You might find the theory behind it interesting. We aren't altruistic by nature, on the whole. And that's fine.

Is that because you're planning to propose to someone soon?

Traditions and social convention. Even if the initial reasons behind some of these things no longer stand, we value the customs.

I'm guessing this might be a good time to remind people that marriage began as a process by which the woman literally became the man's property. But do go off about the inverse power dynamic that er.. doesn't exist.

Given your perception of women's capacity to engage in interesting conversation, it's of no surprise that you're only landed with the basic ones :)
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/25 04:00 PM
2

That the majority of female conversation is vapid? Women talk on average 3000 more words per day than men. So how does your claim stand? If you're struggling to know where to find relevant studies try psychology of communication. Are you stupid? Because everything you're saying points to that.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/25 03:05 PM

You're trolling at this point. And if you aren't then you need to provide sources for your claim. Because it's absolute bullshit.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/25 02:59 PM

They absolutely aren't the minority. In terms of intelligence there are no significant differences between genders. What you've said there about basic conversation is completely false and a pretty disgusting assertion. There's no pretending anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/25 01:14 PM
9

In what context are you talking to women and observing? It simply isn't true. You might not be spending time with women who aren't like that but it doesn't mean they don't exist. Have you considered that it might be a reflection of your own small minded approach to life that women with a scope and interaction outside of the interests of a Barbie doll don't spend time with you?

You're not sure what's so hard? An adult having responsibility for his or her own issues has never meant that they're afforded the power to mistreat others. Other people's rights are nothing to do with a person sorting out their own issues. I'm not sure I can explain it any other way. But the fact you've even thought that meddling with women's rights is an option within your toolkit for finding a solution is a big red flag. Try and sort it out without fucking around with people who are just tryi…

I don't agree at all. If it's your problem to solve then it's your responsibility. Which it is. There's no reason why that should involve impinging on the rights of others. You're effectively saying help us with the solution to our problem otherwise we're going to dehumanise you. It's quite clear why this isn't acceptable.

You'd have to be really quite deluded not to know that. That's how mainstream pornography is filmed. Pornhub were found to have child porn and cases of definite trafficked women in their videos. How naive do you have to be to think that so called 'strict regulations' make a difference. Do you think they've joined a union? How often do regulators go round to these establishments to check that staff are being treated properly and all accounts are audited? You're having a laugh.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/25 10:32 PM
7

Exactly. It's not appropriate to victim blame when such a power differential exists between the producers and women who are often desperate for a way to make money and often tricked into thinking the situation will be a lot better than it turns out to be. These companies have many ways that they manipulate women into doing things they didn't agree to, are over worked and turn to drugs to cope with the situation, usually available from other people working on set.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/25 10:30 PM

Are you really saying that watching porn is a viable substitute for actually having sex? There's probably quite a variety of reasons but many are against porn in general because of how appallingly the women involved are treated. It's also heavily skewed towards the male gaze and often violent and degrading. A study by the British Criminology Society found that one in 5 titles on PornHub and other leading free porn websites contained a violent act that would be considered a sexual assault if occu…

Do you have a source for your claim about violence against women increasing? The reason not one stepped in re the attack you saw was because of the bystander effect and people's anxiety about getting hurt themselves if they did. It's rare that anyone steps in when these things happen. I would suggest that the self hate and jealousy is in itself not a reason behind increased violence. But I heard recently on a documentary that incel forums within the manosphere have many videos of women being vio…

People in their 20s are often not yet at the stage where their values and goals are decided. On the goals side of things, that's something that can be reevaluated at later stages of life. As can values. Often as a result of particularly significant and emotional experiences and events. Socialising, partying etc I don't think should necessarily be avoided. In general women need to be blunt with men to explain to them that they're not interested, don't want to see or talk to them again etc. Men aren't adept at picking up hints and will persist unless you give a clear 'no'. Having warmth in that particular interaction would mean that men found a way to try and persuade, twist, push back on what could be seen as an ambiguous msg.

Whether we reach certain goals is a combination of immutable circumstances such as genetics and to a certain point what sort of life we were 'born into but there is also a LOT which we have control over. To what degree you believe that depends on your locus of control - whether it exists in you or is perceived to exist outside of you I.e. things 'happen to you' instead of you 'making things happen.' It's not commonly used by any means.

Oh I definitely know IQ scores aren't BS. They're reliable predictors of all sorts of types of success and positive outcomes in life. It's not arrogant to talk about one's strengths. In fact I often make a point of saying IQ is hereditary and more of a gift than something that needs to be worked for and attained. Which is quite the opposite of arrogance.

Yeah I don't think that's the case. You seem to be opting for explanations that paint women in a negative light through some sort of bitterness of your own. It's not just a concern that's come from me. The issue is that these sprees were a result of ideology associated with incels. They've been classed as terrorist attacks for that reason. The concern is around the potential for further attacks due to extremist rhetoric and that it's a novel motivation. There's a disproportionately high amount of poor mental health, Autism, and hate for feminists in that population. When talking more broadly about life in general we tend to have aspirations about what we want that we think will make us happy. But once we have those things we tend to think of other things we want because we're still not content.

You can't debate a person's preferences, or contend them, or disagree with them. If it's not simple enough for you to understand, consider the idea that someone prefers chocolate to marzipan. It's probably to do with food they had as a child versus food they didn't, particularly good experiences of chocolate. Due to the impact of parenting and location, culture. All of these things are implicit with regard their effects on the adult preference. No one thinks they're immune to social conditioning…

Not that education equates to intellect directly, but there is some association - especially once you venture into master's / PhDs.

/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/25 04:03 PM

Not at all. Strange comment to make about someone you know nothing about. Women are not radicalising incels. To claim that they are is a preposterous blame shift. To radicalise someone means to intentionally encourage them to take on an ideology. It means to target particular individuals and brainwash them. Women are simply living their lives. How some men choose to react to other people having a better life than them is solely their responsibility.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/25 04:01 PM

Perhaps - but the 'radicalising' posts aren't designed by women. And it's about using critical analysis. Anyone with a modicum of intelligence knows not to take everything they see online at face value. Spending less time on screens would be a start, if they're really finding it that difficult to stay away from that material.

I'm not being naive at all. It's was your personal experiences that led you. Personal experiences of being you. Not women. And if you've been led to the red pill then I think you'll find it's you who has been naive.

No, being in a trade doesn't mean someone is uneducated, but it's not really about getting into the weeds of that. He was using it as an example. I understood what he meant by that. Of course there's nuances with people individually.

It's not about competing to see who is suffering the worst. I'm aware of the differing severities of hardship experienced across the world. But I don't think this makes issues in the first world any less important. Happy to agree to disagree.

Radicalisation is a very intentional act which involves targeting particular people and brainwashing them with a particular ideology and persuading them to join the extremist group / following which uses it. That's certainly not what is happening when women innocently discuss their dating experiences.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/25 06:26 AM

Problems in the first world are just as relevant and valid as those of times gone by. The cost of living crisis, poverty, the impact of changes in the food industry, etc are all very real issues with significant impacts. It's naive to think otherwise.

I think you have to be very careful about how you phrase this because it looks like a huge blame shift of the radicalisation from men to women. Women aren't radicalising men. Men are having trouble with dating or finding a partner and choosing to spend time in online spaces where women are talking about their contrasting dating experiences. Men are becoming frustrated and instead of making a decision to spend less time looking at this content and stepping away from the device to do something pos…

Do you have any data on the percentage of relationships which are healthy versus unhealthy? Because the idea of prioritising being a relationship too much, leads people to settle for people they aren't sure about and that dissatisfaction finds its way to the surface at some point.

I prefer the notion that, given the dire state of society at this point, to be maintaining normalcy makes you the crazy one. The astonishingly high rates of mental health issues that we have in Western society are the 'normal' response to the financial, environmental, nutritional etc stressors placed on the majority of people who make up 'society'. Further to that, we have increasing rates of Autism of which a hallmark symptom is the inability to maintain relationships (or even have the usual de…

To a certain extent. But a certain degree of conformity is needed to fit in, at least somewhere. Belonging is important. Do you mean go your own way as in give up on the idea of a relationship? If that's the case then no, I don't. I would say that self improvement on your own terms would mean that you're improving in a way that will eventually attract the right person for you. Many of the things people do such as ambition with their career and being a healthy weight and toned etc are done for themselves, regardless of the idea of the idea of a partner. But they happen to be the same things that others find attract…

Are they? That's interesting. The majority of the Western adult population is overweight if not obese so it's become much more of a refined standard than you might think. I wonder if the men with that preference are fat themselves. Probably varies. I would they're shamed because the last thing a woman wants is to hear explicitly that men don't want them because they're overweight. It's a sensitive topic and likely to provoke defensiveness.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 07:39 PM

People have far more similarities than differences. Proper self improvement isn't obsessive, isn't done for external validation and doesn't result in misery. There's a difference between self improvement and trying to improve aspects of yourself to make you more appealing to potential partners. If you're into self improvement regardless of your relationship status then the heavy leaning toward pandering to external validation would be an issue you'd be working on! At least if you're spending tim…

They don't even get a 1/5 the flack women get for being overweight. You'd never get the equivalent of the 'dad bod' as being seen as an attractive look for women (mum bod? Lol). The attractiveness of actor's and actresses is a large component of what is used to sell entertainment media - I can't say I'd noticed a drop in female attractiveness but then again, I haven't looked for it either. I have read articles about 'Bigorexia' which is about men and their obsession with the gym, or some men's. It's likely that steroids were mentioned. I actually was involved in a research study interviewing people in gyms about their use of supplements. The results were used to inform …
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 03:59 PM

I think the reason the conversation shifts to extreme rhetoric such as "enslaving women" is partially how taboo this subject is. It seems to funnel people into violent forums or the harsher sides of "the manosphere". I think the people who seriously believe that stuff are either brainwashed impressionable young men, or more than likely severely mentally ill. You'd be surprised how 'normal' the sorts of people can be that get swept away into these ideologies. All it takes is a lack of social supp…

I guess I've heard of that here and there. But I'm anything but the mainstream. Thanks for explaining. I've also seen the flip side where men are shamed for not discriminating at all on the women they're sexually attracted to. Coincidentally, just recently I saw a video of a homeless woman on another sub with the point of the post being to display the sexual objectification in the comments. Swings and roundabouts I guess.

I agree with most of what you've said. I don't think there's a problem with someone only wishing to date the top 1%, everyone has the autonomy to choose what their standards and preferences are. If other people wish to take issue with that then that's on them, but they should keep it to themselves rather than deluding themselves into the idea that their displeasure about it should influence women's choices.

I would say that the sugar daddy arrangement is talked about and understood by both the woman and man moreso explicitly. There's less emphasis on any emotional component to the relationship and payments are intended for luxuries as opposed to mere economic survival. It's far nearer the prostitution end of the scale than the normal relationship end in terms of how it's framed by those involved.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 03:08 PM

The women are wonderful effect isn't about treatment towards women, it's about likeability which is something quite different - it also differs depending on subcategories of gender. E.g. career-focused women score equally to men in how people regard them. (Had a quick read on it after you had mentioned it, though I have seen it mentioned countless times on this sub.) You might have 'told' me things but that doesn't mean I've taken them on board as fact - I've already told you that nothing that y…

No it isn't misleading, because gender equality is generally known to mean redressing the historical and structural disadvantages experienced by women. From what I remember of the video, they do do this for longevity. I don't think it's justifying an anti-male bias at all. I was interested to know why the WEF deal with gender inequality scores how they do, and it makes perfect sense: The Index is Capped at Equality, Not Reversed The index only penalizes gaps that disadvantage women, under the rationale that historically and structurally, women have faced more systemic barriers. Policy Focus The index aims to highlight where countries need to improve conditions for women, based on historical discrimination and underrepresentation. It's a diagnostic tool, not a neut…

I watched 6 minutes of this but then had to turn it off because it's impossible to concentrate when the narrator is talking in such an emotive and hyperbolic way. He clearly has something against feminism too. The first part was interesting but it's something I'd want to look into by reading proper literature rather than via a YouTube video like this. The World Economic Forum is not skewed by feminist bias. And there is not anti-male bias in the social sciences either. I've been a social science academic for 11 years. If you want anyone to take you seriously on the drivel you're talking then you need to be including reputable sources. These industries as well as make up and beauty industries exist because they're businesses. Not because people asked for these products before they existed. This is such nonsense. Men will have their whole town knocked down and rebuilt before even approaching the idea of using their initiative and getting off their ass and joining a sports team or interest group. If people don't have friends then the problem is with them and it's on them to go out and make connections. If they don't then yes they should just be left to be lonely because that's what they've chosen. If they try to make friends and fail then it's still on them to change their behaviour or where they're going to try and make friends. It's not other people's responsibility to seek out the loners. They're loners for a reason, because they aren't people that anyone else wishes to be around.

There are always exceptions and as I explained to another person responding to my comments, they prove the rule. Here are the main points of the book I mentioned with the most relevant to this discussion being that prostitution is inherently exploitative. 1. Prostitution Is Inherently Exploitative and Harmful Bindel contends that prostitution is a form of violence against women, leading to both physical and psychological harm. She shares harrowing accounts from survivors, such as Sindy, a young …

Won the discussion? It's not problem if you don't want to read it. It's useful for me to post it somewhere so I can direct other people who have replied to my comments to it, if need be. I won't be making a post about it. I'm not sure if passionate is the right word but there's nothing to be sought from asking people here their opinion, for me anyway.

It's certainly not that simple and very misleading as a standalone line. Below is a list of the main takeaways from Julie Bindel's Pimping Prostitution: Abolishing the Sex Work Myth, each supported by specific evidence or examples from the book: Prostitution is Inherently Exploitative Evidence: Bindel interviewed over 250 people across nearly 40 countries, including survivors of prostitution. Many described their experiences as being akin to sexual abuse or exploitation, not consensual labor. Sh…

No I did mean that exceptions prove the rule. That's why they're classed as exceptions. If you're going to take what I said so literally I'm happy to clarify that not 100% are involuntary. I'm not denying women anything. I'm simply talking about the reality versus the myths. If I get time to answer people in more depth I will pull some data from Julie Bindel's work. Either way I'd strongly recommend her book as an eye opener for those who have been influenced by the myths and largely leftist rhe…

Exceptions prove the rule. One case doesn't equate 'many' and the idea of them being common is simply false. It's nothing to with echo chambers, my perspective does indeed come from an awareness of reality. My standards haven't been mentioned here at all. The point i was putting across is that there are certain demographics of society that no one should be dating or are incapable of doing so and that cross culturally there will be further demographics that simply wouldn't be able to build a relationship because of the starkness of the differences. It's just a stupid question. But most of the posts on here are. Still entertaining.

If that's what is happening then it is indeed natural. The fact that women's self esteem and confidence influences their dating preferences is also natural. Talking about 'inflated ego' isn't a scientific metric. Ego is confidence and self esteem, you're calling it ego because you want to turn it into an insult. It's insulting to you because you aren't included in woman's standards. It's not that our egos are disproportionate it's that you're so easily offended that you would need women to have …

Err no it isn't lol. Women feeling good about themselves is a brilliant thing. I don't really give a damn what men feel about it. Neither do I feel compelled to prove anything. It's a presumption of yours and perhaps other men with poor self esteem. And that's not really how evidence works. You don't just say it exists and voila lol. It has to be demonstrated.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/25 07:01 PM

That sounds like you think women need kicking into touch, which we indeed don't. What makes you think women have inflated egos? Perhaps we're just leveling and feel better about ourselves than we used to. It might appear like an inflation but in actuality it's a LOT healthier than they used to be. Change takes adjustment, but you've no right to get involved with another person's ego anymore than they've a right to try and deflate yours.

One of the key findings from a study on incels by University of Swansea last year was: 'Attitudes and beliefs: Participants perceived high levels of victimhood, anger and misogyny. Most people are in fulltime work which involves interaction of some sort even if virtual.

No you aren't. What about work, study, hobbies etc?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/25 10:05 PM

I agree with you on both accounts but societally we appear to equate people to be 'better' if they have a better job and 'better' if they're able to attract a partner. As if we live in an equal opportunity society without all the wealth inequality and genetic fluctuations that exist. It's not logical, correct, or fair. But it's definitely perpetuated via capitalism and the media which doesn't help.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/25 07:59 PM

It means what family, friends and social life do you have. Who would you go to for support etc. Okay well I wish you the best of luck. There's plenty of online spaces where you can meet potential dates, I'd strongly suggest interest groups too. And if you're finding group interactions that difficult it might be something to look at working on if you want to change that.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/25 07:56 PM

Okay cool. Do you have a good social / support network in real life?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/25 07:53 PM

It sounds as if meeting someone in an online space and then arranging an in person date from there might be best. Have you had dates / relationships before?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/25 07:49 PM

What DO you see working for you? There's a lot of good suggestions in that comment. What would you need from a place to meet people, to make it comfortable for you. I actually think the DnD and games night suggestions that were given at the beginning of the comment would be good. It's also likely that you'll meet other Autistic people there who share similar communication style.

This is a study on only 128 female students at a UK uni so it isn't a representative diverse sample of women. As well as being a small sample size. The study looks interesting though. It certainly correlates with women liking the bad guy, or the mean rebellious type. As opposed to the 'nice guy". One of the major studies we looked at when I studied Psychology was attractiveness being due to a person's capacity and willingness to meet the other person's goals. There's a lot more complexity to wha…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/25 07:40 PM

Which statistic / source?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/25 07:26 PM

No they don't lol. I mean it's impossible to generalise and say what women like, really. It depends on which woman. But this one certainly doesn't. Narcissism is terrible to live with.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/25 07:23 PM

Haha fair enough. There's a lot of women out there who are quite into weird if it's the right type. Any more than a smidge of charisma can come off as quite narcissistic. Horses for courses, but if only it was actually that simple heh.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/25 07:18 PM

It's not that obvious to me. I'm not that familiar with the terminology. How would you describe what game is?

Is every single woman programmed to respond positively to... 'game'?

/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/25 12:41 PM

If there's information in the public domain that women wish to look at for peace of mind before meeting a date there is no line really. It's understandable to want to do some sort of search for safety. The only strange part of this to me was that she told you.

What would that empathy look like exactly?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 05:54 PM

Exactly!
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 05:45 PM

You must be joking. If someone wants to be offended that's their problem, not the person writing their profile. It's for efficiency. People can write whatever they want on their dating profile and if that includes certain physical aspects then it's fine. We aren't a charity, and life is too busy to be sifting through respondents who don't meet an individual's standards when they could easily be eliminated at the first stage.

It doesn't really matter what you buy, don't buy, have seen personally or haven't - it's simply the truth. There's far more nuance to people than many on this sub appear to be aware of. The fact he's physically a man is a pretty significant essential thing to him being a man lol. There are many differences between men and women that don't have anything to do with commonly understood femininity and masculinity. Anyway I'm happy to agree to disagree. Well they do happen. A lot. With regard to being 'better off' with a different gendered person, that's not how sexuality works. We don't really need the typically masculine traits such as strength, courage, independence, leadership, and assertiveness from a biological man. Masculinity can be present in men and women.

Because she loves him for how he looks, behaves, thinks, his personality, sense of humour. There are a huge amount of different reasons that people are attracted to others. Attraction is based on the a person's capacity and willingness to meet the other person's goals. In the UK it is common enough that we have a phrase 'she wears the trousers' to describe a dominant woman in a heterosexual marriage. I'm sure there are similar phrases elsewhere. In Italy for example it is a cultural norm for wom…

Ladies: You know you crave that steady masculine presence. In terms of heterosexual relations there are many where the woman is more dominant than the man across all areas of the relationship and their lives. I'm also interested to know how you think this assumption about 'ladies' would translate into alternate sexualities. A lot of what I tend to see on this sub seems to be based on outdated gender roles and generalisations that grossly underrepresent the nuances of human behaviour, relational …

The dirty incels on this sub appear to get extra chatty and excited and I've surmised they're perceiving it as 'female attention' as opposed to mere answering stuff on a phone that does notifications. And that's slightly nauseating.

Breaking News: Male Reddit User Discovers Nuance in Human Behaviour
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/25 03:45 PM
1

Are you for real? That's one Reddit user i.e. 'some'
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/25 03:42 PM
1

It's not dismissal. It's understanding the difference between personal experience / bias and the larger context of objective human behaviour. It would actually do a lot of you some good to understand what those biases are rather than to be so self centred that you think your misery and negative experience is universal. It's not something I need to argue about though. Especially not with someone so committed to misunderstanding the truth. Or perhaps not even having the capacity.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/25 03:41 PM
1

Just because I\ll never experience things from a male POV doesn't mean I don't have a good understand of how humans behave regardless of gender. If someone is talking from their lived experience it is merely a personal anecdote and should be treated as such rather than extrapolated as a generalised fact about all men and women and their interactions. All you're really doing here is explaining that you're equally if not more ignorant than they are. Experts on giraffes do not need to be giraffes t…

You appear just to be making a lot of generalisations and assumptions based on your own biases as opposed to reality. I absolutely do not work in IT lol. It's client-facing work. Women do not want men to provide. Some women might, but to make that generalisation is simply incorrect. It's a dated concept and expectation.

Fair enough. But it's sad that you've reached a stage where you're viewing these things in such a reductionist fashion. It's not absolute. There are women who approach men and situations where romantic energy builds organically via interactions which initially weren't intended for it. It's clear that a lot of people here who claim to know so much about these do not have much at all in the way of real world experience interacting with others lol.

In the grand scheme of things, relationships are of less value than health, career, living circumstances, poverty etc. It's far too simplistic to talk about relationships without considering how difficult it can be to find and cultivate one that actually brings advantage to a person's life. I would estimate that the largest majority of people who are in relationships aren't happy at all. And that's a best case scenario. Why isn't it the same? I'm not unattractive thankfully but I have been turned down by people and I've simply moved on. There isn't one story where I had a huge reaction because it hasn't happened. Also, it's about being good with people in general. You don't just launch into asking someone on a date or trying to have sex with someone.l straight away. /r/PurplePillDebate11/04/25 01:39 AM
1

The reality is that a lot of it will never be taken to court. It's all very well saying what the law is and what terms and conditions of social media platforms are, as another poster did. But what actually happens in real life is far removed from both. Most people do not read terms and conditions and when you're aware that 4/5ths of crimes committed are never caught you realise how meaningless both those points are.

Well duh. I'm talking more about the fact that there is a lot of footage online where no consent was given for the person to be filmed or photographed, because it legally wasn't needed. It's a different person who uploads it to the subject of the footage. Tiktok especially is full of that nonsense. Pranks especially. Intimate pics is something entirely different. I was talking about normal photographs. I'm not sure what you're trying to say with the instagram stuff. Are you serious? A contracted photoshoot is a tiny minority of photos that people leer over online. It'll be photos from FB, instagram, professional websites, paparazzi photography etc. I'm not sure what sort of utopia you live in where you think all available imagery of people has been consented to and is taken as part of an organised photoshoot 🤣 It's not even illegal to film or take photos of strangers in the street. Whether they consent or not!

If you look into it properly you'll find that in cases where women murder their male partner, more often than not it is in retaliation to years of that male partner abusing them physically and emotionally (at least, if not also sexually). There have been some really quite famous cases of women murdering their male partner in self defence whereby the woman is firstly incarcerated for murder and then after prolonged investigation and court battles she has the sentence reduced.

I was talking about the broader meaning of the word relationship which includes friends and family. However, most would say that sex is vital for good health and is a normal drive for people. To reduce the risk of STDs etc that would be best within a romantic relationship and this would also meet the emotional needs for close intimate relationships that most people have.

Wrong from the off unfortunately. The same women who talk about the unequal distribution of unpaid work such as childcare and domestic tasks are not the same women who 'complain' about not having a meal bill paid. I'm suspicious about someone who claims to know the fundamentals behind why some people can't find a partner, yet doesn't know which type of 'there' to use. Companionship and relationships are still just as important. We're social animals and relationships are vital to our health. It's possible to have children without a partner these days. The meaning of 'family' is somewhat evolving and doesn't necessarily require a partner. Not from the outset anyway. You'll find that it is actually things su…

Oh this is hilarious. Did you really just say 'put in your place'? We should never have given these troglodytes Internet connections. Oxytocin release is one of the processes which is occurring. There are many other neurological, biological, cognitive, and psychological processes that motivate an individual to have sex, and that are experienced. For stress release, for self esteem, to feel like you've achieved something by 'conquering' the other person, physical satisfaction, distraction from other things, to feel wanted physically and emotionally. Feminism is simply incomplete as an ideological worldview. It obfuscates the complex reality of everyday life, and creates a constant contention between the genders during a time when we should all be striving to work together. “Men” are often grouped together without any added thought to nuances such as class, race, religion, physical features, education level etc. It posits that the original sin, I.E the patriarchy, means that men are perpetually oppressors of women. All men are part of a nice…

/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 10:18 PM

I'm absolutely not lol. You called it social status and that's what I'm referring to. You probably should have called it popularity. A quick Google of the term status and social status will throw up info the same as I've assumed. I have an academic background in psychology and sociology and these terms have meanings universally so it's confusing when they aren't used correctly. That's all that's happened.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 10:17 PM

Being high social status and being very popular with women are different things. There's more to status than being attractive. Depending on the level of STEM job they may well be incredibly high status, intelligent and successful. They may also be Autistic and friendless. There's a lot of nuance you seem to be missing.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 10:12 PM
1

You've written it as if it's a factual piece. It isn't. As I explained in my other comment I think the issue is that you've called it social status because that isn't what you're describing. And what women want is highly variable. If it was a one size fits all then you guys wouldn't still be single.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 10:08 PM

It's not the wrong way. It might be different to what you've intended but I think it's more that you've used the wrong term. I'm talking about what social status means.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 10:06 PM

No lol. Social status is about profession, education, wealth etc. Google the meaning, definition etc. That's the widely understood meaning. Popularity is something different.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 09:52 PM
1

For a long term relationship people want stability which includes financial stability. Excitement is only favourable on its own in the short term. Where did you get your information from about status? Because there's only one universally understood type of social status and it's about a person's wealth, education, profession etc. Fame never lasts long without being followed by large amounts of money.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 09:50 PM

I'm not sure you understand what status is, because social status is linked to socioeconomic level and type of job. Being a broke musician i.e. the 'starving artist' isn't high status. Being a famous musician would be high, but celebrity tends to be a separate group to the general scale of social status. Someone could be a doctor but introverted with not many friends and they'd still be high status.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 09:29 PM

Of course it doesn't help - like I said, it makes them feel better. Justification, shifting responsibility. A lot of people's beliefs are relatively unproductive but they ameliorate the cognitive dissonance which is much easier lol.

I can't speak on behalf of all women. And judging me based on a friend's behaviour is bizarre. What I don't have an issue with is what I see as a happy family. People have to make cost benefit analyses and decisions sometimes. We put up with certain things due to other benefits and ultimately make decisions based on what's important to us. We don't need your help, feminism is about redressing the imbalance of the patriarchy so that there is equality across genders. I also echo what everyone has said about the selfishness of your post and how men who intend to be feminists do so out of empathy for women and girls. I am wondering if this post has been written as a joke.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 02:55 PM

There's no such thing as the 'male loneliness epidemic', it's just loneliness, gender irrespective. Unless you're referring to more men being single, which is something completely different with its own explanation.

We expect men to take on the role of provider and protector, This is an outdated concept. Both of these roles are taken on by both individuals in a relationship. Female breadwinners are becoming more and more common. I accidentally responded to the wrong person with this before, but you were talking about the lack of things women bring to a relationship. The majority of divorces (69%) are instigated by women and that's due to reasons such as: newfound economic independence, feeling unsupported due to carrying most of the emotional labour in the marriage, being seen as primarily responsible for domestic duties, lack of support in their careers particularly when highly successful, women are now less tolerant o…

Financial independence is a perfectly reasonable attainment for women these days. The idea that they would need to rely on a man for money was true historically, but not now. This is all based on your personal opinion or experience. I'm talking about generally speaking. It sounds like you've had a lot of poor experiences with women so you've generalised, and not just that but misunderstood the value we bring to relationships. In terms of finance I'm not talking about a gender comparison of averages, I meant the fact that women simply don't need men for money anymore. That's why the marriage rate is declining.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/24 12:51 AM

This is such an outdated view nowadays. Women's salaries and career opportunities are high enough that they're seldom looking to men for financial stability anymore. That's why marriage rates are declining :)
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/24 11:49 PM
-5

Emotional support, children, half the chores.. as a few examples of what women offer inside relationships. The idea of a relationship being expensive to a man specifically, is antiquated. Women have much higher salaries these days and a significantly reduced need to rely on men for financial stability. It's why marriage rates are declining :)
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/24 11:46 PM

What do you mean by normal? Many women are child free and want to be single or in a relationship with a women because we don't have to rely on men anymore. That's neither abnormal or unfeminine. What is your perspective on the original topic? Everything I've said is relevant. What do you mean by working for commitment? What does this look like in a woman's behaviour? Also what do you believe are masculine incentives?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/24 07:05 PM
1

My point was that value is present in many things other than reproducing and marrying and also that women have many other incentives in life that don't include either. And this doesn't make them any less female. Like I said, a lot of women who have had children would have been better off not. I'm thinking of women living off welfare with 5 kids. They may well be married but I struggle to see where this value you speak of comes in.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/24 02:04 PM

They certainly are valuable. In fact I'd rate the value of a female scientist far higher than the value of a woman who's only achievements in life were to get married and knocked up 🤣 Many who have passed their genes along would do as well not to have bothered lol.

Women on the whole don't fall for the same sort of thing. In Psychology it's been found that people are most attracted to a person who has the capacity and willingness to meet their goals, or support them to. Your speculations also wouldn't make sense given the presence of same gender relationships.

So there's social norms which you're describing in the first part of your comment. Then there's personality. But people grow and change and you have to update your perception of them as that happens. It's not so algorithmic that you wouldn't encounter unpredictable behaviour in a human. I don't think it's the right word to use.

just looking for new bodies. see women as too equal to them. even consider women as more than just for sex. What a shitshow this post is, lol. Have you considered at all how a 'fat, old, ugly' girl might feel if they are being used for practice? Or does it just not matter due to the aforementioned perceived characteristics?

I said in female only social groups. They are called out by women. You're talking nonsense.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 01:59 PM

Oh that's not true at all. The bitchiness that exists amongst some female-only social groups is rife and vicious. They are certainly being called out lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 01:44 PM

But that's not something particular to women. It's people in general. I don't know why you've specified this to be about women.

It's not possible for them to reduce something which is biological. Although the prevelance of taking e.g. SSRI medicaation certainly helps. There are now 'AI girlfriends' which may help to fill the void for desperate men.

They're generally thought of masculine traits perhaps but it doesn't make it bad if women have them. Otherwise we would have been submissive to men and allowed them to take charge of important things in the world till the end of time. Which would be dire.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 08:01 AM
1

That's your perception. Not what I've seen, women are managing to have more of a voice than they used to and that's great. In general, everyone is fatter, men included. Higher socioeconomic demographics lesser so with more access to better health.

Less attractive than what? And how are you measuring that?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 07:32 AM

Are you suggesting that women who go for highly attractive men weren't batting within their league to begin with?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/23 12:26 PM

It's a benefit for women, trust me.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/23 03:48 PM

Trad school is by no means equivalent contribution between genders. It is widely known that women shoulder far more of the work in a marriage with children than the man does, via domestic, child-rearing, and paid work activities.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/23 03:47 PM

Nonsense. I'm a woman and don't need a man to provide, and I'm intelligent so need the guy to be intelligent too. Otherwise, I get bored and they don't feel like an appropriate match. Single women are more successful than single men, there are twice as many single female homeowners, than single male homeowners. We're doing fine providing for ourselves. Regarding people being smart for a lot of things but dumb for others, that's not a gender-specific characteristic. It is normal for people to hav…

This is from your link: Although the uncontrolled gender pay gap has closed by one cent in 2023, there remains a disparity in how men and women are paid. The presence of the uncontrolled gender pay gap tells us the distribution of high-earning prestigious jobs in society favors men, while the presence of the controlled gender pay gap tells us that women are still being paid less than men when doing the same jobs. As our data will show, the gap is wider for women of color, for women at higher job…

You didn't read the whole paragraph. It means the same level of work, I.e. the same value in different industries. It's not me who needs to work on their comprehension :) The gender pay gap is still alive and well unfortunately. Hence the UK government monitoring efforts to reduce it.

This is a list of examples of how the current patriarchy is expressed in the West: Patriarchal Legal system – In patriarchal societies, the laws and rules are biased towards males. Legal provisions and laws are in favor of men, which leaves women exposed. For example, a patriarchal legal system may require men to sign documents on behalf of their wives. The Gender Pay Gap – To this day, women are often paid less than men for the same work. Women tend to do more part-time and precarious work, and…

You're generalising far too much for the variability in family life and relationships that we have evolved to have these days. It's not about articles. Especially when you were searching for articles to support your view. There's articles about everything. I think the problem is that you're generalising which is very unrealistic. Many men aren't threatened by a successful woman and don't need them to be submissive and without any ambition of their own in order to feel like a man. Healthy relationships involve making decisions together and supporting each other to reach your goals. Women don't need to climb anything in order to make money. What do you mean by their situation? E.g. I'm in my situation because I've never met a man worth my time and energy long term. What do you mean by masculine? Are you saying women who have money can't be feminine?

They'd be at school. It's not just being cooped up in an office. That's not the only job option. Plus it's important for adults to have adult social interaction. What will she do after the children become adults? Women are more than capable of having a career and having kids these days which is great.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/23 12:25 AM
1

It doesn't take 40 years to raise a child. She could be self employed. Or at least working part time. I can't imagine many women would like to have no salary and have no aspirations apart from raising children. They'd be at school most of the time. How boring.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/23 12:20 AM
1

Raises her kids? That's bleak. So she doesn't have a career?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/23 12:13 AM
1

So if she has a lower salary she can't boss you around? What if she progresses to earn more while you're together?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/23 12:01 AM
1

You're right. It means that for high earners like myself the selection of men available is few. Why aren't you comfortable with a woman that earns more?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 11:53 PM

Nonsense. A lot of it is down to culture. E.g. in Italy its normal for the woman to be the boss and make all decisions. There's also lots of relationships where the woman is the higher earned and has every right to be making the main decisions. Being unwilling to relinquish control is a human trait.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 11:26 PM

Are you saying that being submissive is synonymous with femininity? And that thinking for one's self is only associated with masculinity? How happy does your partner appear to be?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 11:12 PM

Oh that's sounds really depressing for her.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 11:08 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 10:51 PM

What do you mean by submissive?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 10:47 PM

Aggression isn't a personality trait, it's a behaviour.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 10:06 PM

Muppet.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 10:01 PM
1

Well first of all that's not true and secondly you said they enjoy violent aggressive men.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 10:00 PM
1

Where are you getting the idea about each gender caring about certain aspects of social capital? Social capital doesn't have to include all factors, one is enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 09:50 PM
1

Did you just say women enjoy being on the receiving end of violence and aggression?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 09:48 PM

Satire? Have you not seen the rates of domestic violence that force so many women to escape their homes?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 09:37 PM
1

Let's put it this way. The 20 year old is a much better lay than he is. Men leaving their wives for younger women happens a lot. What is your theory on why this happens if not for there higher rate of sexual capital?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 09:35 PM
1

Attractiveness and socioeconomic status tend to be positively correlated. I don't agree that the majority of men would sleep with a homeless woman and consider them to be high value.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 09:22 PM
1

And how would you argue it?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 09:16 PM
4

How do you define femininity?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 09:15 PM
2

That's socioeconomic background. There isn't really a phrase 'sociological background'. Sociology is the study of society. So if something is sociological it refers to the study of society not a person. Lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 09:14 PM
1

Yes, but as people get older there's such a thing as social stratification. Do you still want to fornicate with them if they're homeless?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 09:11 PM
1

It wasn't me that said men were hypergamous to begin with. I was referring to the idea of a 40 year old man leaving their wife to be with a 20 year old woman. Men would be influenced by all of the definition of sexual capital. And all factors detailed in that definition would be higher in a 20 year old than 40 year old woman. Typically speaking.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 09:08 PM
5

I read a lot! Hypergamy (colloquially referred to as "dating up" or "marrying up") is a term used in social science for the act or practice of a person dating or marrying a spouse of higher caste, social status or sexual capital than themselves. Source
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 09:03 PM
1

No. Out of interest though, how are you defining value?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 09:01 PM
3

The 20 year old has higher sexual capital.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 09:00 PM
-2

Attractive women don't have a higher social status without the right socioeconomic status. Sexual capital and social status are different independent factors.
