Most of the swing dancing scenes I've danced in use "lead"/"follow" and most of the Latin scenes use "man"/"lady" or other gendered term. This could be an artefact of the dance style's lingo, or because the swing I've seen is currently more SJW than Latin. 4	Social dancing, social skills, and the game This is accurate, but for god's sake call them "women" and not "follows" unless you're leading men (learning to follow is good technique for dudes) or switch dancing. It's fun to pass/steal the lead when you're dancing with a girl who can dance both roles, but if you overdo the following you lose the framing benefit of being a confident lead.
