It simply wasn't the case on the lands of Kingdom of Poland

That is not how it functioned for majority of history. It was (usually) a joint decision between parents of both wife and husband.

Was it? Pre-industrial relations of genders were more concilliatory and woman's position was much more dictated by her social class instead. I'm not saying it was or is a fair and just deal, however I don't see it as a forced deal.

No. Patriarchy was a social contract agreed upon by both men and women.

Social norms behave like genes, if they are not useful for the success of a person (for a very specific goal assigned), they are naturally phased out. That is to say, if kindness and niceness is disfavoured in digitalised dating world, then they will be less and less relevant in favour of RP-proposed behaviour.
/r/ExRedPill23/04/25 08:38 PM

In short, you are asking whether there are (many) people who are willing to abandon their personal luxury in favour of adherence to the ideology. The answer to this question must be negative

That's a convenient lie spread by our friends in AskFeminists. In reality men have higher lethality in all methods and make constitute percentage of SSA (serious suicide attempt) victims

Absolutely agree. And ironically, it's not the "radical feminists" who are blamed here who allowed this to happen but our old, bourgeois liberal feminists - the "pink girlboss sweatshop CEO"

12-month occurrence is more accurate, since men are significantly more unlikely to describe (very) past unwanted experiences as sexual assault.

Manosphere mostly doesn't address the issues and doesn't help men. What they do though is say to men "I see your issues; I hear you." Meanwhile feminist movements can't even admit that male suicide is a massive problem without arguing that women suffer more from suicide. This "friend-enemy" distinction present on both sides makes many men cling to manosphere, because they are (at least formally) the "friend" here. These are issues most strongly perpetuated by men. This is not feminism's wheelhou…

If the feminism you describe focuses on women's issues, then this feminism will never reach equality. Why? Because by refusing to tackle male issues (demanded stoicism, upbringing by violence and forced individualism) it is left defenseless against a situation where women have their postulates mostly met, but men are still under a patriarchal mindset

There is still the expectation of men doing the work there. When it was tried to reverse this - meaning women changed tables - it turned out to be much more pleasant experience for men and vice versa for women.

Pole here. We have rather a backward education that lacks on every front (from poor understanding of humanities, through purely theoretical teaching of sciences, up to discouraging physical education). Bullying is prevalent and most students leave Liceum (high school) without a clear direction on life.

I also don't understand why this is the case much more in some faculties over the others. I study law and this is so much the case here that I wonder if I really just ended up studying Mormon theology. Then I visit my friend at medical university and women there are kind of just unrepressed - open, unafraid and social.

I agree that this is how it looks in more traditional relationships and the faux-equal relationships - I do not aim to replicate either of them. I actually was in a relationship before and was used there and it has kind of taught me that if you do not set hard boundaries, you'll be exploited

Okay, but what percentage of polish women would be happy to go 50/50 on every. single. thing? I'm happy to relinquish patriarchal privilages, because I don't value them and prefer equality. But what young polish women will be okay with receiving only the exact amount of affection that she's shown me? Or the exact amount of rose-pathed enthusiasm? Or communication effort? Tbh I lost all hope of finding a happy and equal relationship. Perhaps if I was born in a progressive country like France or Sweden, but living in Poland simply barely anyone here is ready for such a relation. I already was exploited (thankfully not abused) in a relationship and I simply do not believe that in our patriarchal society there exists a person who would not require me to carry on most romance, be a stoic and engage in machismo.

The media that I consume usually follow the same mode: romance books - the rich, hot guy does stuff for (acts upon) passive woman TV series - Ted / Barney do stuff for Robin Feminist critique calls this actor/object interaction and I agree with their view. Overall I can say I've seen two. One with high confidence (but they seem to have lost themselves too much in parenthood) and one with low confidence (don't know them that much). Selective service - Conservatives are the ones who overwhelmingly hold back adding women to the selective service requirements and they don't tend to be feminist. This argument rather crumbles when you consider that Europe's left wing governments are also planning to introduce male-exclusive draft / already did so.

It's very depressing that the only thing that dictates women's (and men's) behaviour in dating is what they can afford to do and not what they should do. With the realisation that women are also humans, came the realisation that they are just as evil as men.

I would advise all redpillers to read "Open society and its enemies" by Karl R. Popper, where he describes the historicism (the belief there are absolute rules to history) of Platon, Hegel and Marx and how it's incompatible with free and open modern society. Same historicism appears in red-pill as the "biology/evolutionary biology" theories. In a way, the supporters of red-pill often overestimate the biological aspect of our humanity and thus create a straight line of history that favours the "s…

I think you should recommend him "Will to change" by bell hooks. It focuses on pain men experience in life and love and tackles the problem from a loving, feminist perspective. The author is genius and sympathetic enough to make it appealing to most men and this book helped me when I had a dating identity crisis.

Bell hooks's "Will to change" recognizes pain in men and tackles the problem from feminist perspective. However to learn from it, he needs to take a step back from red pill ideology. So, like you said, give him something more moderate and then "Will to change" to turn away from red pill ideology.

Ukraine's president, Wolodimyr Zelensky is 1,7m tall, which means he is shorter than the average height in our region (central/eastern Europe). There is also not a lot of women here who did not have a crush on him or found him attractive due to his brave behaviour during the war.

Unfortunately what I have seen is that both of these stereotypical men are influenced by toxic gender norms, aka.: both have to be bold and dominant, both have to not have fears or if they do they need to get rid of them, both have to only display small number of emotions, the main which are: "rightful" anger, being content and lust. *It's important to hold distinction between "blue-pill and feminist man

I understand what you mean. What I'm trying to convey, though, is that the knowledge that your partner views you as "below their potential" is harmful to you because it's entering a relationship from unequal standing. And I'm trying to not judge here, but such declaration can question someone's unconditional love for you. A concern that they see you through your assets rather than through holistic approach and loving a person for whom they are.

I think previous commenter's reason might be that if someone follows this line of thinking, then at the beginning of the relationship they'll already brand their new boyfriend with: "You're not as attractive to me as the other guy, but it's okay" Which can reasonably make many people insecure

You're talking about feminism like it was some kind of n@zism, aiming to eliminate men. Meanwhile, most feminists care deeply about men's wellbeing, eg. bell hooks like I said earlier, and wish for everyone to live a better life. They advocated for many great things for men: - allowing you to take care of your kids more (without being seen as weak), - allowing you to express emotions other than anger and hatred, - helping male sexual victims (some feminists may dislike the topic, but without fem…

men require a woman to NOT be confident. men need to have a protective role, otherwise they feel no romantic attraction, only sexual. You're saying this as it was a rule of formal logic, a tautology. As such, if I manage to find a man who isn't like this, then your claim is false. And I'm that man.

Jesus f*cking Christ 🤦🏻 I'm ashamed of what other men are writing here to you. I hope I can give you some normal answer: People with high emotional intelligence are more likely to connect sex with personality traits and thus being a good human being is necessary for them to be mentally aroused. They didn’t break down the answers by gender, age or sexuality They did with divide the answers by gender in most cases, but you're right that they've should've included answers divided on the basis of age. As for sexuality, it would be a helpful data, but not necessary. The sample size is too small to make claims on a global population. There's methodology on the bottom of the site: Out of these respondents, 44% were men, and 56% were women. Around 80% were in a relationship, and 20% were married. Our ages ranged from 18 to 70 with an average age of 35 and standard deviation of 10 years. Does that number include people in open/non monogamous relationships? If so, then the number of people who have cheated (using the definition you mentioned) would be lower. From my perspective it really seems that, as a man, without being a leading partner (or potential partner) you don't stand a chance in dating. I've been in Latino club yesterday (with my friend and acquaintances) and carefully examined who invited who to dance. In overwhelming majority it was men. I'm 19, so I'm not talki…

In theory yes* *But as for single women, abused and ill-treated women will heavily influence this statistic and it's unfortunately not uncommon occurrence in our culture. As for childless, the consensus is yes, however being parent is generally much more sense-giving. I would compare it to climbing local 1,5km mountain with friends vs climbing 5km mountain with comrades. First is an easy and relaxing activity to do. Second is challenging but very rewarding. And it gives the sense of pride when y…

Did you mean that a generic man will want a random woman more than a generic woman will want a random man? The other option is easily debunkable and bigoted.

Could I ask how much time should you spend with your romantic interest as a friend before bringing up romantic topics?

Yeah. And if some woman you don't see as a potential partner comes across, you can always friendzone her. It saved me a lot of emotional distress last year.

To be honest, my experience has been that the more I grew emotionally, the less people I found attractive as a potential partner. Older people tend to have much better developed character and I can easily make friends with them but my peers... Let's say I'm not here to solve all their problems

Okay, but this is assuming emotional maturity in such person is only achieved once they reach 30s. For the sake of the argument let's say someone of male gender posseses high emotional maturity since their teens. Seeing very significant portion of women engage in relationships with stereotypical jocks (or simply people displaying toxic masculinity) can make one sour towards both societal standards and people who are subject to them. Sour that despite being objectively better partner, toxic mascu…

Never personally subscribed to redpill opinions or views; However wouldn't your perspective imply that rare men, who focus on emotional growth and development in their 20s, are morally justified to seek relationships only with people who saw their worth since the beginning? Like, if you thought of me (or my archetype) as a loser in 20s, why should I give you a second chance later? Of course I may feel like it and may do it out of generosity.
