Whoever spends the most time with the children, or is most responsible for them, is also most likely to do everything ever. If men and women on average spent equal time with their children across the board, it would be a fair comparison. But given a lot of times the roles are such that women are with the kids more, all of these things are inherently likely to be true. It's like saying "Women feed 90% of the junk food to kids." The abuse has been the other way around and her behavior was unwarranted. Any evidence she was abusing him before? But what you see here is she struck him first, twice.
