That's 7 'P's :) With the children it's Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance. The message is the same however it's delivered. Having everything lined up with a method to execute when the time comes is essential to success.

This is all very helpful information. I got a lot of great information from you guys dealing with my psychopath wife. I met with an attorney, put down $ for a retainer and have papers ready to serve sitting in my email in the event the violence returns. A couple other things to add in regards to hard evidence. It goes without saying, but keep all attorney's business cards in an area she will never see and use a mailing address that is nowhere she will be. Another good piece of advice- in the eve…

Home Depot has a wide selection- smoke detectors, alarm clocks, etc. Also check the laws in your State to make sure you're not unlawfully recording audio. In some States it's a felony.

I'm basically in your situation, but imagine 2 kids and 10 years down the road. I married my wife when my son was 6 months old to protect him from her. The sex is often and very good. Dude, take 100% control of the birth control situation. If you decide to stay, contrary to much of the advice here, make sure you handle this if nothing else. Otherwise you'll be tied to her for the rest of your life. 2nd, as mentioned by a few, you won't fix anything. Never. You'll get a small glimpse of better, b…

"Is my wife crazy?" I'm undecided on "Is she crazy?" Explain. If you can make me blush she fits the bill. Otherwise it's typical stuff the other guys here can help you with.

I didn't call 911. Drove to the city PD after the altercation and I was waiting outside the entrance. I was in my pajamas ~2AM and they drove up- they understandably approached slowly. It was a male cop and a female cop. I spoke in very vague terms because she had a bruise when I pushed her off. Their message was I should go to a hotel or elsewhere to let everything cool down. It seemed like they were asking questions to see if I would implicate myself to arrest me and I wasn't going to have her…

No need to check the Deadbedrooms sub anymore at that point.... Some over there might welcome that.

Wow, what did you do to her? Just kidding, sometimes it is what it is. She is at her most dangerous when she feels the jig is almost up. This. If I leave with the kids and don't come home one night without all the things detailed above complete, especially some sort of restraining order, it will be a whole other level. I hope things are better for you now. I imagine you appreciate life in a different way now.

Face to face tomorrow, I'll have dates and details. If he can guarantee (as close as possible) the outcome I need, I'm following everything to the letter. I appreciate it, man, these messages strengthen the resolve.

(2). Her word vs mine, fabrication of events vs reality. She'll claim every abuse under the sun. If a dude can be arrested for getting the crap kicked out of him, the same thing can happen in the courts too. I fear, probably irrationally, the cops and courts. If that labels me a scared bitch, the cap fits. Haste and lacking preparation can impact things for years or being calm in the storm, battening down the hatches and the weathering the squall while charting a course to a better place seems t…

I really appreciate the support, revenge isn't a factor, just getting into a better situation for my kids and I. I'll look for the book. Drawing on these responses from parties removed from the situation makes the motivation and my inner drive stronger.

A) Divorce her without her spiraling into a worse place and shield the kids from crazy after the fact. Some have thrown out that I might end up dead, but I think she's too much of a narcissist to go that far. Having her arrested and ruining her professionally would be equivalent to death to her. At that point I would fear for my life.

You do you, we can agree to disagree about the cops. I went to them after the scissors incident and walked away feeling more fucked up from that interaction than with my wife. The lack of action is primarily a product of a broken system from my perspective.

It was brought to my attention I should probably delete most of this by time everything hits the fan. 'Til then, it will remain. I value the opinions of the community and needed some perspective. This isn't shit I'm going to discuss with most people and everyone here helped on some level. I'll own my shit and reference it if I need to throw out this username and start fresh. I want to add value eventually, but at this point the opinions I received today were valuable to going forward.

Actually I got a lot of good advice. Your comment on OYS actually kinda pushed me. I appreciate it, I'm taking control of the situation.

It was funny at first, then I realized that she actually had a lot of strength and that I had to try. It didn't work out well for her the next time. She tried to wrestle me outside and she ended up pinned with her face in dog shit.

Yeah, that's a big part of where I'm at and why a little time will be a benefit. Not concerned about her, she makes Action Bronson look like a lightweight.

Friday appointment. She'll claim all sorts of shit, that's why I want concrete evidence. I know I've never done anything, but the courts are bullshit.

Both are mine- that I know, you know ;-) No doubt about my daughter, she looks just like me. Don't care if I find out my son has different DNA, he's my son and my sidekick. I went into the deal to protect him and I will always be his father and protect him. It wouldn't change anything either way.

Root answer: I'm a scared little bitch. I don't feel prepared without concrete evidence. I don't want to ruin her life more than it would be- lame, right? It would be a nuclear event and without an outside presence to keep the peace shit would most likely get wild. If my Hail Mary fails, she has 1st and goal at the 1 yard line and Beast Mode lined up in the backfield. Life would be a crazier hell knowing my children are with her. I'm scared shit wouldn't turn out right and my kids would suffer. …

Good advice, like "tonight I'm making chicken soup" or document when things start to get real? For the most part I try not to be in the same room except while sleeping.

She's calculating as fuck and waits until I'm in the shower in the morning before work. I'm kinda stuck at that point and would need a moment to not run thru the neighborhood holding my towel in my hand. Have photos and dates. Hard evidence is lacking....

Violence started as a simple headlock a few years ago and has gone in this direction as time went on. Deadbedrooms= AWALT (?)... My behavior wasn't very attractive before MRP (and still working on shit), so I thought I could kick the can down the road, make life tolerable until the kids were 18 and then I could bail. The timeline is definitely shorter now....

In my State video is cool except areas where privacy is expected, audio recording without consent is a felony. If I gave any indication of my plan it would be met with heavy resistance. Thanks, I'm hoping that the future incident after recorders are installed is a simple punch to the shoulder and not anything maniacal.

Thank you, this is exactly what I was hoping to find out. I have 0% faith in the system, so I'm holding out for a month to install the recorders. Otherwise it would be my word against hers. My State is one in which it's a felony to record audio without consent. I don't leave them alone with her often, they're with me or my parents whenever I'm not at work.

Whoa, coming from you that means a lot. You light dudes up for sport. The coffin needs 1 more nail before divorce. It's inevitable, I need to get my shit together and take the necessary steps to be financially and court-ready. You'll get a chance to add me to the pathetic group to some extent soon.

For reasons unknown, having the dog around is the best compliment to game my wife. The dog stretches (downward dog) with it's legs out, head down and rear up. Me: Head down and ass up! Her: You talking to the dog? Me: No, you, head down, ass up. Get to it! Me: Dog, you have some nice legs. I think I like wife's legs better (start stroking both of their legs). Me: Damn dog, you see wife over there? I want to take her to the kitchen and pound the shit out of her. Overhearing those types of convers…

I have follow-up appointment in a month for the sports hernia. If it's not better it will probably be December when I can get surgery and be out of commission while not letting my responsibilities slip. The thumb needs to heal by itself, I don't need a splint or any shit like that. I don't want to bench and get a face full of iron. 100% correct on Captain Save-a-ho, my cape is still in the closet, where it will stay. I want to post re: Lucifer's Daughter as a cautionary tale to see the red flags…

1st comment on MRP, I'm finding I'm learning a lot, especially about fully internalizing the concepts so the mistakes won't be repeated again. Good Shit Work- Advised I would be getting a bonus for guiding the completion of a program with the CEO. I'm ahead of my normal timeframe for completing my regular assignments, preparing for taking a week off in late September. Beer- Haven't bought beer since mid-July, have only had drinks socially, don't miss it and don't really think about it, except fo…

Thank you for the advice, the Matrix terminology is completely appropriate. Adjusting my thinking has made me observe more and listen to the bullshit less. In certain interactions a switch has been flipped on, so when I hear things that are wrong it's hard to be quiet because I would have loved 10 years ago to know the things I know now. Reading the comments has been empowering knowing that the shit I used to love doing is actually beneficial to my relationship. As suggested in the other comment…

I was DB for a year stretch and nothing made any sense. One day someone provided a link to MRP and after a day or two of reading about shit tests I realized I had been miserably failing. Then I remembered 10 years prior before I was married with kids I DNGAF and had a little Game. A few helpful suggestions from the vets and I really can't remember being happier with the improvements in my life since I've been married. I guess I got lucky, sucks for those that need a finger poked in their chest i…
