Excuse me is the polite way to interrupt anyone out in public. If your fundamentals are on point, there's literally no reason to nitpick two word phrases. At the end of the day, it's not about what you say moreso how you made them feel

Actually yes. Authors use very particular styles of prose for their text to provide a certain experience same as watching a movie vs reading the synopsis on wikipedia For non-fiction, you can't really condense the entirety of a textbook into a few little leaflets of paper. How to Win Friends... isn't a textbook but it can almost be treated as such. That being said, there IS a great pdf floating around somewhere with a summary of every chapter

How to Win Friends.. should be required reading in high school. Before anyone who's never read it pre-judges its content based on its title, I'd like to point out that this book has withstood the test of time since the 1930s and still holds truth to this day. It has been cited as a major influence by enormously successful people such as Warren buffett. The author's also been dead for over 50 years so you know it's not just a plug by the author to make money

Best advice I can give is to read the sidebar. It's daunting at first with all the material but you can see a drastic spike in improvement if you master the fundamentals of pick-up (and general communication) before moving on. After all, you have to crawl before you can walk. It's difficult to judge your specific situation without a bit more info You can also check out /r/SanDiegoSeddit if you're dead set on finding a learning partner.

It's hard to evaluate without knowing the context behind these conversations. What you may interpret as douche-y could just be playful banter between guys. Forget these pickup books, the best book for a 13 year old going into high school is How to Win Friends and Influence People. It's so widespread and universal that I feel it can apply to his situation and impact him in a morw meaningful way than any niche seduction book will do Save the 48 laws and models for when he's got SOME life experiences under his belt

It really depends on what you're into. Are you out to go clubbing? are you a gambler? You looking to see some shows?
