What did getting divorced teach you?Everyone HAS an opinion…and it must be communicated often to you, just in case you didn’t get it the first 100 times. Family…isn’t always there for support, especially if they are afraid of the children involved. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/03/26 02:28 PM

Did divorce change how you see yourself as a man?Agreed! Put some water in your damn wine sometimes, you can’t always want to win an argument or a point of discussion. At a point sometimes now, I just stare blankly into people when these situations occur and take an early exit. Sanity and calmness abide, as the Dude would say. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/02/26 08:15 PM
Does anyone else feel like "a looser" despite "winning" at most things in life?Keep at it, the important part is that you are at peace. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/01/26 08:50 PM
Does anyone else feel like "a looser" despite "winning" at most things in life?Like others have mentioned, it’s all in your head brother. I get it sometimes when things go into autopilot and you start rewinding things in your head. Don’t second guess yourself, keep at it and with time, these episodes do calm themselves. Keep doing what you do, follow your daily routine. Listen to music, smoke a J, read comics, spend as much quality time with your son, get a FWB, anything to let out steam. Eventually, this also turns into a routine and will get you better until you are read… | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/01/26 03:22 PM
Expensive hobby after divorce?Read what you like brother. Dive in, start slowly. Venom, Hulk, Thor, etc. | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/11/25 07:01 PM
Expensive hobby after divorce?Do what you need to do to be YOU again! In my case, I dove back into comics and collecting. Set a budget and go with it. Most people in my circle do not understand it, however, at my age, it’s therapeutic and it helps. You got this! | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/11/25 05:10 PM

Dreams at night becoming very vivid and lucidPlease seek help mate. I did, and a lot of men here did as well when they were going through dark times during their ordeal. There’s no shame in it. Put yourself and your wellbeing first. Talking to a professional is your first step, do this for YOU! Good luck! | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/06/25 07:10 PM

I made the mistake of talking about my experience with people that don’t understandThis 100%. I made the same mistake and it was used against me further down the line. Lessons learned. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/05/25 10:51 PM
Anyone willing to share their 3-4-4-3 schedule...Been using it for over 2 years, my son is 12 now. It’s a juggle for sure, especially with school and all, however, so far, it works for us. Try different ones that fit both your schedules. Kids of all ages crave a routine and discipline. You got this! | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/05/25 12:01 AM

I'm worried my kids are being coachedThis 💯 When your kids (11 year old son in my case) see you as the stable, rock solid parent that doesn’t engage in pettiness or drama, trust me, it doesn’t take long for them to grasp it and actually follow your lead. There is a lot we cannot control in life, especially if the ex is coaching or dramatizing them, stay true to yourself and the children will eventually see it. Keep at it, don’t give up! | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/04/25 06:56 PM
I told her I wanted a divorce. It did not go how I expectedThis 💯 If there is no attraction physically, there is a somewhat lack of respect somewhere there inside. These are issues that should be addressed. I made the mistake of ignoring it for years, by then, it was too late. Don’t put yourself in that position. Sending OP positive vibes, but this looks like it will end badly. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/03/25 02:06 PM

2nd wife?”I guess we are all in the same position. The separation and divorce took a very big portion of my savings, pension and investments. Stuff I did by MYSELF for the family while the ex lived the good life and saved next to nothing. And I had to give her half?!?!?!? Such is the system…it’s broken, that’s my opinion. It’s a pride thing for us men. Work hard and save, play by the rules, however, things didn’t go our way and some people will find a way to get the most they can and claim it to be “equit… | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/03/25 03:52 AM

Do you ever just randomly cry?No man, when you got to cry, you cry. I’ve done it on a few occasions over the course of my journey. As time goes by, the pain lessens. You can’t hold onto it, just let it out. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/02/25 02:11 PM

‘The more perfect we are, the more pain we feel’In principle I agree with you. With my case, she had no issues in taking as much as she could and drag things down because in her head she was making me suffer. Things she wasn’t entitled to! The lying, stealing money, wild accusations, calling cops and child services, I was the evil one in her head as she was trying to justify her actions. Listen, I was no saint either, but I wanted it to work, I put in the effort, she walked away after 20 years. Sometimes, there is no justice in that sense bec… | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/01/25 03:58 AM
