I completely agree with the fact that we should question everything and critically evaluate it, even if we happen to agree or like its conclusions or stance. In fact we should put more effort in to evaluating views we believe in then views we don't believe in as we will probably give more of an allowance to the view we like

I think you have misunderstood the idea of toxic masculinity, let me explain: The idea is that masculinity(men) inherently has traits of aggression, lack of emotion, and a belief that men are superior to women. This is seen as a harm to both men and women(and others) and is therefore toxic.
