Can't hype the boundaries thing enough. Just jump ship, you can't fix them or change their minds. Only they can do that. It's not your journey, not your problem to fix, just call it and get out. You CAN help friends. There are wider boundaries and less risk with a friendship. You cannot change relationship partners, not in that big of a way. They need to respect you from the start or they never will.

Men can have trauma by their 40s. It's based on personal life experiences, it's not an all or nothing thing. Get to know the individual, don't complicate things with absolutes.

Women don't care. This is an issue of men competing with other men. It's a visual of "hey I'm a bigger man than you", it literally has nothing to do with women.

I have several friends who took turns being the "house spouse" as they build each other up. One gets a master's degree, then the other gets a master's degree, etc. And even then, no one was in charge of 100% of the chores all the time. They just had more time during the day outside of school, so they did more with the time they had.
