The Roman empire had very strict gender roles, women had few rights and little power. Unless she had powerful family, a man could murder his wife and face little to no consequences. It was an extremely patriarchal society. Regarding homosexuality, it was basically prison rules - there was nothing unseemly about fucking men or receiving oral sex, but a man who took the "female" role was looked down upon. You obviously don't know what the fuck you're talking about.
