I have read something similar to what was in the link you posted before and if I recall rightly, because of how they were studying heart attacks, often they were missing women's heart attacks because they sometimes present with different symptoms and I think the thing they' re really just starting to acknowledge is how different our bodies really are and how various issues may manifest differently.

Probably coincides with prostate cancer awareness, I think. You know, Movember...?

It's a load of crap. I had a ton of International Women's Day things in my inbox and I'm a woman and I don't need a day to remember what sex I am. They even gave me a month to promote their sexist ideologies. Not interested. We're different, but equal.

I have epilepsy and as a youngster, black eye or bruised head was a frequent thing. I had some pretty cruel people around, but none that blamed someone else for the injuries. That's just low. If they keep making these false allegations, tell them you want to record them say that so you can sue them for their slander. It's bloody rude.

I’m worried for the next generation of young boys being. Unfortunately, that generation arrived already. They've been suffering for a long time with ridicule and disbelief and many don't speak up because they get laughed at, or they're scared they'll lose access to their kids, or people think they can't take on a woman....nah, they just got raised a bit better than that.

I can only count the PE teacher at my daughter's school as being male. I think there might be one more, but most of them are women. With less fathers in the home because many women want to do it alone, or custody was awarded to the mothers because of prejudice, it doesn't leave a lot in the way of positive adult male figures for young boys does it? It doesn't do girls any favors either, to be honest. I kind of wonder if that's why feminism has taken off as it has. I can't imagine girls being so …

"We are taught that women are good, and men are immoral by nature." - there's a little bit of biblical irony in that statement.

I really appreciate your thoughts and insight. I've never come across this guy before, but he seemed to be taking a different approach and the mere fact of acknowledgement of a gender disparity that had flipped the inequality from men to women often isn't touched on in the mainstream. I'm aware of it, but I grew up in a household where my mother did a "man's" job and nobody really complained about it and it wasn't celebrated either. It just was...you know...best person for the job. I haven't com…

That's interesting. I'd never really thought to hold boys back from starting school, but perhaps this one size fits all approach that many western nations have, isn't really right? What another person had noted about starting school late as potentially handicapping men (paraphrased) versus adjusting the teaching method, I think I tend to get behind more. Since I have a kid who is autistic and ADHD, I can say that I had to get her into school earlier just so her autistic personality could adjust …

That's a good point - about the 'headstart' vs appropriate teaching methods. We have recognized dyslexia and ADHD and autism and various learning styles (although some methods such as VARK are potentially debunked) and there are things that can be done in the public school to help a student learn in the way that makes sense to their cognitive functioning, but not always. I will disagree that it puts blame on boys because they aren't capable. I would never think that, nor would I advocate for tha…

Maybe because some of the women are fed up with the feminists too!

Are those books recently published? I read a lot too and I'm a female so maybe I wouldn't notice, but I'm currently reading Operation Paperclip (it's about the Nazis) so it's not really 'current content'.

I'm a woman....so, just wanted to say sorry you're being treated like crap for being a guy. I think it's pathetic society is being this way, but I also think at the same time it shows the hearts and minds of people and perhaps you REALLY don't want them in your life anyway - so kudos on shutting out a bunch of the social media and 'programming'. I say programming because that's what has happened to society. I read a lot and while I have a Netflix sub, I was telling hubby I might cancel it if he'…

As a woman / female I only feel like a minority because people keep telling me I am. And that just kind of annoys me. I see some report and it talks about women being in low income jobs and struggling to make ends meet. What about the men in the same low income jobs who are struggling to make ends meet? Where are their reports? Why am I so special? I actually find it discriminatory. "Oh, poor little girl...you're so hard done by..." "Men...suck it up and stop complaining!"

Oh wow. I read this and (I'm a female) and my heart just went out to both of you, to be honest. She's not sure if she wants YOU. (Sorry, but that's how I read it.) She's hot and cold. I'm not a relationship expert, but I get the distinct impression that she loves you, wants to want to be with you for the rest of her life and so much of you both is a match, except for that one part that she can't explain and so she's hot and cold. I think she thinks there is someone else out there who might be be…

I'm not into the draft unless the war is on your doorstep, but I think it should be all able bodied and not just men drafted (who aren't taking care of young kids - and no, not referring to just women sitting it out).

I'm not really a men's right activist, but I am a woman and I'm certainly not a feminist. I think some of these women that keep hating on men had crappy father figures - why else would they be so awful? It's about revenge. It's not about equality. That was the earlier waves and the suffrage movement. I love my Dad. I love my brother and I love my husband. Why would I talk down on men?

That's a real good point. How many times has anyone even thought about driving into something on the way to or from work? It's crossed many minds, even if it's not been actualized.

I'm a woman. Maybe if I were a guy, I would be a stay-at-home Dad because my wife earns more money.

Well that was enlightening. I'm a woman, but I'm a married woman who is about equal rights, not feminism and clicked on this because I asked hubby what's a bumble profile? Yes, stay single and happy, not miserable and settling with some nutjob.

Forced to be providers? I"m a woman supporting my husband and child. I guess I could take the kid and just leave him, but that would be a crappy thing to do. Then I would be a nasty bit of work, wouldn't I? I'd love to have the chance to be a 'traditional caregiver'. Ain't gonna happen though.

They say the truth is stranger than fiction. You proved it. That's one heck of a story (and no, I don't mean fairy tale). Sometimes we do foolish things, but it seems to me that you're trying to fix your mistake by actually being present and accounted for. I wish you well in your endeavor to be a Dad and not just the 50% DNA that makes up that child. Being that you know what it's like to have grown up with a similar start in life and being that I am a genealogist, I am vaguely aware of how much …

Not sure that I'm a Men's Right's Activist. I'm more vocal about equality because I see the pendulum has swung too far to one side. When someone screams domestic battery, I don't presume it's a woman being assaulted. Men often don't speak up when it's happening to them because they get ridiculed and disbelieved and there aren't nearly the same amount of refuge places available to men with children as there are for women with children. I think there are virtually none in the US. So how does a man…

Respect your mother and honor her even if you don't agree with her views (I would say this if we were discussing a father figure for similar reasons). Family law and domestic abuse are clearly topics you can't discuss with her. It seems evident you do respect your mother or you wouldn't have brought up the topic. It also seems you feel a bit raw because she doesn't see your way of thinking. Weigh up the pros and cons of winning this argument. Is it something worth losing a relationship with your…

Matt Walsh is a bit of an odd one. He likes to pit one side against the other . I do agree with some of the things he says, but the delivery is politically motivated and often intended to be divisive. If you're more inclined to cry, you cry. If you're not, you don't. See how easy that is? There's absolutely no shame in crying. I personally see tears as a means of 'cleansing' us of junk. But again, it depends on your personal constitution and how your emotions are exhibited in your body. I wouldn…

Living in the household of a darling man who sometimes talks about MGTOW, I sometimes do hear this sentiment of misogynism. It's not directed at me though, but perhaps a younger generation (I can't believe I just put myself in the 'older category' , but I gotta get real). I have heard what he has said about the young women 'hitting the wall' and how they have all these expectations and yet in truth, they don't have anything tangible to bring to the table themselves and as a result, many men are …

Smellygoat, that should hit hard. That was meant to. That wasn't meant to be nice. I'm so sorry you were on the receiving end of this. That woman sounds like she's full of poison and she's just trying to poison everyone else, hoping it will make her less poisonous. No. It can infect others. Reject what she says...you are a survivor...just like you said.
