Great advice, I F-close a lot but don't have a very high rate of follow-up and I'm pretty sure it's because I am shit in bed!

A compliment is obviously a good thing and I've found that reacting appropriately to a compliment is more about not fucking up than in being particularly innovative or hilarious, although that can work. I get a decent amount of compliments from women and I would say the only response which never helps the interaction is downplaying it. It's a response that lacks confidence and implies that you aren't able to deal with good things coming to you, with success, with her. In a sense you want to subc…

I think it refers to the implicit transactional (real word?) nature of social interactions that is not acknowledged by people who aren't involved in studying them. The demographic that reads this subreddit would obviously not be of that ilk. Someone who puts no effort into being the type of person that attracts high quality women, but laments the fact that he isn't currently dating multiple 10's, is an example of a person who gives no value, but aspires to take value. Consider appearance as being one piece of the "success pie" when it comes to women and all other factors as being the other, for the sake of conceptual simplicity. Certainly, it is possible to score poorly on appearance but leverage skills in all sorts of other areas to hit the critical mass of conditions which must be satisfied by a given woman in order to attract her. It is wholly possible, I just don't understand why anyone would take this approach, unless it was to purposely handicap himself…

What are the thoughts of the seddit community on the importance of grooming yourself to a high standard on the basis that you expect the same of the women you will be interested in? I think it makes sense, it's certainly the basis of how I operate but I could see some viewing it as being in some way try-hard or conceding something? Would be interested to hear those viewpoints if they exist as I have a hard time seeing it. I am of the opinion that having good hygiene and dressing in a neat and st…

Absolutely the correct idea. I do think it's fair to say that good looks help matters, but to a similar extent that talent in any field is beneficial and has the potential for outlier-level success when combined with extremely hard work. I would contend that being a good looking man, on average, means one requires less sharp game to the get same caliber of woman a less attractive man would require. But it's just one factor, not weighted particularly more than others... This is coming from a 6'5"…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
