Yeah I know, just making a point. Everything exists on a scale. If you'd rather spend a free evening going to the opera while someone else goes to the movies, or listening to mozart while someone else listens to some Slayer, then cool, but call it what it is (i.e. free time, leisure activity), don't dress it up as "I spend my leisure time culturing myself which is better than these bourgeoisie who just consume electronic media"

Is there anything to back up the theory that some forms of 'consumptive entertainment' are positive and some are negative? It sounds like a bit of pretentious wank to distill it to 'reading and opera = good, videogames bad', when a lot of books and performance art are also pretty trash, and games can be mentally challenging. Clearly someone has never heard of the effects of fasting and catabolic/anabolic states. Once your body has expended ATP stores, it moves onto glycogen (sugars), then fats and protein, but if you're fasting that will definitely include your lean muscle as well as your fat stores.

The only benefit (for us at least) is that generally performing better gets you more deployments/perk trips. For every other metric, it's basically just time based (due to courses only being run once a year, and pay scale based on time at rank)... Agreed. While most exercises benefit from a combination of strength and hypertrophy, (working anywhere between 5 and 12 reps) deadlift is about fucking your cns for max strength and testosterone production, so i usually recommend working up to 90% of your 1rm and doing sets of 1-3. Not sure about the states but AFAIK in NZ/Aus maybe UK, there's 'common law marriage' and 'relationship property act'. Basically what they state is that if you've cohabited for a certain length of time (usually 3 years) and some other 'grey' criteria about 'appearing to be in a relationship', then you automatically become de-facto.

Man this really strikes a chord. I was nowhere near that extreme I don't think, but still my biggest regret now is how many years of my life I wasted because I was just ghosting. Now I've had a lot of friends die, my gaming is almost zero, and I try get the most out of every day. But thinking back to how many years I wasted, it feels like a lifetime.

This is a pretty good point. Basically alpha/beta is only a single axis, while our personalities are far more nuanced. Someone who is naturally introverted or intellectual will have a totally different way of displaying the attitude op discusses than someone with a different personality. Alpha attitude, social skill, and abundance mentality won't automatically turn everyone into a brodude, and it shouldn't.

Occupation - 9-5 low paying public sector However it's usually pretty relaxed which means I can spend a lot of time working out and focusing on 'side game'. Military/LO is a pretty good example of this. If you're in a profession like that, chances are you never take your girl to 'work drinks' or drinking with work mates. Even if you have a pretty high SMV compared to Joe Blow on the street, and you're pretty comfortable with your relationship, there's really no good reason to invite her into a situation where there's only 2-3 girls and 20 male workmates who are all at least as jacked/confident

Look at guys in their 40's/50's. Then look at women the same age. If you stay on top of your game, then no matter whether you date/LTR a 7 or a 9, you're going to end up (subjectively) better looking than them.
