If a guy approaches girls doesn't kiss ass, but is still not successful, than he should be boring (if I followed your logic correctly) If he is needy and boring he will get some responses that will lead nowhere. If at this point he stops being needy, he gets none. Meaning if you are boring, becoming more needy is a good way to get a couple extra messages from a girl. So that is what boring guys do.
