Here's what no one tells you It is already an established principle that a child’s right to bodily integrity outweighs their parents’ right to religious freedom. Otherwise FGM wouldn’t be illegal. 2	Today is the Worldwide day of genital autonomy 💙 It’s f’d up. The law states that with the consent of the parents, boys can be circumcised for any given reason and by any given person. So there’s not even regulation in terms of safety. So after parents had their son circumcised, they’d have to file a lawsuit against themselves on behalf of their son. Obviously that’s never ever gonna happen. After that the German chancellor Angela Merkel pushed for a law to explicitly legalize non-therapeutic circumcision of minor-aged boys. The worst thing: This law cannot be challenged.
