I dont think the government should outlaw that. Victimless acts should be legal, even if they are considered "immoral" by some.

It's 18 and 14. 18 and 15.

But as far as the law is concern pretty much if your 21+ only those that are 18+ are good, anything below is off limits. Nah, as far as I know AoC is 16 in most states, and Romeo and Juliet laws are not everywhere. As I said, I think 18 is too high. There is a big difference between "creepy" and "crime", which is something many people prone to sexually related moral panic dont realize. 22 and 17 is maybe creepy if you are uptight enough, but certainly should not be a crime.

Of course having sex with a person who has an undeveloped frontal cortex is not a good idea. If thats your metric, then why are you not advocating age of consent of 25? Thats where the cortex ceases to be developing as far as I know. I dont believe ability to consent requires fully developed frontal cortex. It requires basic knowledge and experience about sex and relationships. People at 15 or 16 generally possess this IMHO.

No ADULT- male or female- needs to be fucking anyone under the age of 18. This is an extremely bad argument. We certainly should not ban something because people dont "need" to do it. You could argue that an adult fucking a 17 year old is harmful or something. But this kind rhetoric is just stupid and even dangerous.

Indeed, 13 is too young. But 18, as some people on the other side of the spectrum want, is too old. I believe 16 or 15 is a good AoC (its 15 over here in Slovakia and Czech Republic, and there are no problems). There also need to be close age exceptions (Romeo and Juliet laws) - if the partners are within x years of each other, sex is never a crime due to their ages. Its just common sense.

Victim was a white man, and the perpetrators were black. This is not interesting to the SJW crowd.

No you don't have to be a mind-reader. You just have to be smart enough not to fuck a 16 year old when you're over 18 If there is just three years difference, I dont see anything wrong with it.

I dont think so. Free speech means even their speech should be protected. Besides, they conveniently list the best comments on Reddit. ;)

For now, it seems to be ethnic minorities. Leftists still demonise those who point out the significantly higher sex crime rate of non-western immigrants compared to native population, because the fear of appearing racist is the biggest bogeyman in the PC community, even greater than being misogynist.

Correct, and its like that in most of Europe. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigration_and_crime Redefinition and broadening of the definition of rape is a factor, but immigration (particularly from non-western countries) also raises the rape statistics, and in this case its not a mere artifact..

We know, for example, that 16 is about the time abstract thinking begins to develop in teens. Do we? That seems to be pretty late.

Being a father is much more than splattering the inside of a woman's vagina with your trivial dna juice. Tell that to child support laws.

The AMA was raided by 4chan (there were 2 threads on /pol/, and another is still up). These are not MRAs from reddit.

The laws Ive seen say incapacitated, not intoxicated. SRS radical feminists dont make the distinction, but most normal feminists do. There was an Ask Feminists thread about it and most agreed that simply being drunk is not enough to not be able to consent.

Usualy not, I think. However I think in some jurisdictions it is. The degree of drunkedness is also important, so if someone is not passed out but still drunk severely it may be rape. The threshold for rape is certainly a lot higher than for drunk driving (which is zero or about one beer).

Lets turn your argument around: This seems a little disingenuous, since the decision is more than a little coercive. The man may want to raise the child alone, but because the person who had an equal role in creating the child doesn't want to help, he can't. In this scenario, the man is basically forced to let his child be killed. What makes this a bit coercive is that the mother is not asked to take any responsibility for her actions despite the fact that her actions led directly to the child c…

Leaving a woman and your own child in the lurch because you want to be able to fuck without consequences is a childish and execrable thing to do. If the woman does not want to raise the child alone, she can have an abortion. If she wants to raise the child alone, then whats the problem? The decision is still on her (this is of course assuming abortion is freely available, which it should be).

I don't think it's feminists who support this kind of legislation. I would not be so sure.. Look at SRS and the lame legalistic arguments they parrot (sex with someone below 18 is sick and literally rape because current law says so, and if you disagree with current law or current age of consent in America you are automatically a pedophile etc...). Modern radical feminists of SRS variety and conservatives have surprisingly similar puritan opinions when it comes to sex. Probably because both view …

the majority of people will think that those who are responsible for it's creation should contribute to it's upkeep Yes. But a woman is more responsible for its creation than a man, because a woman could have aborted it and chose not to (in addition to choosing to have unprotected sex, which she indeed shares with the man). She could easily avoided the creation of a baby, but refused. Thats of course assuming abortion is free and available, which it should be.

The consequence of sex is a pregnancy, not a child. The consequence of not aborting a pregnancy is a child. When the man indicates that he does not want the kid and wants it aborted before an abortion limit has passed, then, this decision to bring a child into this world is solely on the woman, therefore only the woman is responsible and only the woman should face the consequences.

This has nothing to do with justice, children are entitled to a certain amount of support no matter if they are wanted I agree. But I think this support should come from the state (child benefits) instead of from those who dont want to be parents.

The same applies to women.

Makes sense, but only before the abortion limit has passed. There should be a kind of a male "legal" abortion, giving up both rights and responsibilities.

As for your argument in favor of forced blood transfusions, who are you to say that I MUST take them? Is it not my body to decide what goes in it? Who are you to decide that my quality of life is one that I must be forced to live? I am not saying the endangered must take them, I am in favor of voluntary euthanasia. But we have no proof that the fetus wants to die. As for 2...I would argue that birth control fails. Condoms break. They could take all precautions and still get pregnant. Thats part …

There are two problems with this analogy: pregnancy is more analogous for example to blood transfusions than organ transplants - in most cases it does not leave permanent harm. I would agree with forced blood transfusions if it was the only way to keep someone alive. The woman (barring rape) is responsible for the state the fetus is in - so its more analogous to forcing transplantation from someone who caused the kidney to fail, not just from any person.

No adult human has the right to violate that without the woman's consent, so why should a fetus? I would argue that I would have such right if its the only way to survive. right to live >> right to bodily autonomy.
/r/MensRights29/08/12 07:55 AM

I am not arguing for pro-life, just that the responsibility argument is the same prolifers use against abortion. And just as it fails against abortion, because of the autonomy of the woman, it should fail when used in support of forcing men to pay child support when they never consented to child, because of the autonomy of the man. If men cannot force women into parenthood, the same should be true for reverse.
/r/MensRights16/07/12 05:16 PM

It also opens up a debate about bodily autonomy, which frankly, has been answered in this forum and in the rest of the western world. If abortion was about bodily autonomy, it would be legal all the way to birth. It is not.
