You do make a good point, it is expected to make the effort to wear a full suit to a funeral. My point moreover was the extreme versatility of the black blazer. I personally have worn a beautiful black blazer to a funeral, and the combination with black dress pants, dress shoes, white collared shirt and tie created an outfit worthy of a funeral. A suit should be worn, but knowing that a blazer can take you to a casual club and to a formal business meeting highlights its function as a fashion mul…

That is the central conceit of Walter. By having an obsession with the past, his mind is consumed, ultimately leading him to believe his friend is still alive. The past is all that Walter has.

Bowling is a great, you can have a fun time with friends and meet people, but is bowling your life? Didn't think so. Even if someone went pro, they still have other activities besides bowling; they play everyday to perfect their game, but they still take time to take a shot.

I agree that it can look like being short and huge may look like a compensation for insecurity. However, that depends on how you carry yourself. I've seen the entire spectrum of short lifters: from the skinny fats to the evolved manlets; the amount of muscle did not determine how I perceived them. What made them appear insecure and compensating was their mannerisms: body language, vocal tone, communication. I've met huge stocky guys who did nothing but brag, walk with their noses high, and belit…

When in doubt, black. It fits with nearly all colors. But make sure to research some other colors that work for you

I can not agree with this more. I'm only 19 but I've found blazers are invaluable. A black blazer is your multi tool: going to a funeral? White button up, tie, dress pants, black blazer. Going to a dinner? Red Oxford, black jeans, black blazer. Going to the club? T shirt, dark navy jeans, black blazer. Any occasion can be suitable for a blazer. My only caveat would be tailor your dress to your audience. If I'm going to dinner with my family, a blazer is perfect. If I'm going out with my friends,…

The analysis is solid. I agree that actively seeking out validation from other people leads to deleterious habits, and ultimately failing to achieve potential. However, there is a key point missing that I would like to add: "So much depends on reputation, guard it with your life" - 5th Law of Power Yes, "Bad Boys" are attractive for their masculine attitude and shunning of seeking validation. But, this does not mean they do not care about what other people think. Quite the opposite, they underst…

I'd agree that becoming comfortable with such bitches is very important. An excellent tool in your Red Pill toolkit is knowing how to turn would-be leeches into plates, i.e. avoiding Beta habits and using Alpha habits. However, I will not become friendly with her again. Recovery from the Bluepill is the same as that from any maladaptive addiction. When you want to stop taking heroine, you don't keep shooting it. You cut it out of your life. Realize what habits make you weak, and stop those habit…

I had the exact same situation. She was not even ashamed about it, "You know, most people would think I was just taking advantage of you. But I'm not, lol :)". Subtle. We used to sit together every class and she would ask me to explain. Every assignment and test we would work and study together. By work, I mean I would give her answers. By study, I mean I would teach her the course. When she broke up with her boyfriend, the blue pill beta inside of me jumped for joy. I thought I had a chance. Th…

As usual, the intelligent arguments are lumped together with the fanatical drivel. Taking the position of Devil's Advocate, I will agree with the feminist argument that science, in particular scientific organization have been dominated by men. The domination is in part due to a societal attitude that women should pursue feminine careers (writing, social work, etc.), and men should pursue masculine careers (e.g. STEM). It is truism to say that men over represent scientific organizations, and soci…

Agreed. Talking about the more pejorative implications of the TRP stirs only irrational ire and social stigma. e.g. Hamster, hypergamy, AWALT. But I disagree about one point: Do not talk about TRP to your friends This is true, about female friends, who refuse to accept TRP conclusions, even when the truth stares them in the face. However, Talking to your male friends about TRP can be beneficial not only to your friends, but to yourself. Having unplugged friends to discuss the TRP and help practi…

Thank you for posting this, it brings up a few great points on the subject of morality. I would agree with you that morality forms the foundations of a man and of society at large and those examining sexual strategy are reaching the wrong conclusions of morality, but I disagree about sexual strategy as a question of morality. Sexual strategy creates amoral techniques but its end results are subject to morality. Sexual strategy, for both men and women, forms the means to achieve ends: sex, and co…

Exactly, Rollo differentiated boundaries from ultimatums It’s very important to make the distinction between setting boundaries and delivering ultimatums ... Ultimatums only lead to behavioral shifts based on the fear of repercussions, never a genuine desire for that behavior. However, a continuous demonstration of what you necessitate in a relationship is vital to its health and your continued primacy of frame.

Psychology Today had a much better article on the Friendzone: http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/the-attraction-doctor/201112/escape-the-friend-zone-friend-girlfriend-or-boyfriend Overall then, the friend zone occurs in relationships where both individuals' emotional needs are not getting met. Someone is not getting what they want and need. Because all good relationships are built from a mutually-satisfying social exchange and trade (see here), friend zone situations ultimately don't feel very …
