Some might be asexual and I know gay men sometimes are the target of harassment by straight women invading LGBT spaces but most of MGTOW are just CisHet men who don't think being in a relationship or even having normal contact with women is beneficial. While I don't personally agree with them but can understand where they come from as I've had a few traumatic experiences with women in the past myself.

Yeah, being a virgin is a really desirable trait for a woman in the eyes of the average man and that transcends religion and time periods. All things being equal, a virgin woman is far more desirable than a woman with the average or even smaller than average amount of past sexual partners. The reason most men still settle for non virgins is because there isn't much of a choice nowadays. Not because we think virginity in a woman is bad suddenly lol.
