So im like the ex in that i like to get everything I need in one trip for at least 2 weeks but my wife will admonish me for "getting too much". None of anything you mentioned matters usually. Getting married, having another kid, etc.what does matter is the rental. If that can be considered income it could be substantial. Put yours and hers income into your state calculator and see the difference. But she could also just sell the old place to avoid this entirely.

Disclaimer that I'm not divorced, but I know many who are. This is terrible advice. Courts have contingencies in place for things like this, which is called voluntarily underemployed. They can come after him using his old salary. edit: CS ends at 18 regardless of college nearly everywhere. Was this an agreement between you two or is this specific to your state? Im with you 100% Its nonsense. I can somewhat understand CS being adjustable but within reason since its for the kid. Problem is that money rarely if ever gets spent on the child. When a divorce is finalized it means all parties agree to the terms set by the judge. The story should end there. I dont think Alimony should even exist unless the husband is at fault (cheating/abuse) or in terms of extreme cases such as being married for 40 years and the wife can't work anymore.
