3	Advice request on this encounter? Already apologizing from the beginning, indirectly seeking validation with “I might be too old” was a fumble. Would have been better to turn it on her and create some push pull by saying “you may be too young for me.” Especially considering how her interest peaked when you mentioned your phd to her undergrad degree in the same field.
