3	The patriarchy and toxic masculinity exist, but women play a role in it too by selecting men with toxic traits. This is true. I had a “friend” who was manipulative, narcissistic, an toxic. She always had an entourage of men following her like lost puppies. We called them her “harem”. These men ignored perfectly nice attractive women for a user who was never going to touch them. Can speak for everyone but for me part of the appeal of BDSM is the hormone spike that makes sex better. Pain, perceived threat, etc creates a hormone spike that leads to more intense sensation.
