So you think a guy who hates women because they've never been chosen could be a good partner? You don't think they'd struggle deprogramming their whole belief system? Wouldn't it be better to date a man who had mostly positive interactions with women and wasn't so neurotic and negative?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 12:57 AM

Because of all the terrible posts and assumptions they make. A lot of the guys on here seem to hate but also want women. It's a sick dichotomy that I can't imagine would lead to a healthy relationship.

Most of the guys who struggle with dating on here would also treat women poorly (if they could get a date). Being unattractive doesn't automatically make a person a better choice for a partner. My husband is attractive, has a career, and he treats me very well. He is a gentleman, and I love it.

The above poster was obviously being sarcastic, with their “poor thing” comment. Take a chill pill :)

Why make her comment sexual? No one needs to know the size of your dick. None of the women in the comments have been sexually inappropriate. Why must you be?

People also died a lot younger. If I am committing to spending 50+ years with someone, it’s going to be someone I am deeply in love with.

My husband and I are the same. We’re both pansexual. I am more on the progressive side and have always preferred bisexual men. I find them all around more interesting.

I have been the most wild with my husband. We are in our 40’s and still have nights where we party till sunrise, and have sex three to four times in a day. Every woman in my friend’s group married the love of their life, and treat their husbands well. They all married in their late twenties and refused to settle, until they found their one.

Puritans were really into focusing on both partners sexual pleasure (within the confines of marriage). https://learn.ligonier.org/articles/sex-in-marriage https://www.bostonmagazine.com/arts-entertainment/2016/10/18/puritans-and-sex-myth/

I wasn’t trying to be antagonistic. Honestly, I am terrible at reddit but this debate sub is interesting. I wasn’t refuting anything in your post and mostly agreed with what you wrote, I was just giving an easy example of misogyny for the naysayers.

I am an atheist (but was raised religious and agree that religion was created by man) . My point was that religious doctrine hits peoples psyche differently than social trends. When people place divinity behind an ideology it’s so much scarier and harder to root out. But I do agree with you that men and women have it equally hard. And comparing each genders hardships is apples and oranges. I think laws and policies that hurt one gender, end up hurting all of us.

Yeah but wokeism was created by man and can be refuted. People who believe in the bible, think it’s Gods divine words. The message is more infallible if you are religious. Anyways that’s my example of palpable misogyny.

Is there any religion out there that subjugates men and is wildly practiced? I grew up in a religious Christian household and was told all of my life that I was less than because I was born a woman. Isn’t the US one of the more religious countries (I assume a lot of the posters on here are from the US)? Distrust of women is a common theme in so many religions. I think misogyny is ingrained so heavily in all of us, that it’s hard to identify.

Agreed! So many men on here, are paranoid of gold diggers and having their non existent wealth taken. They’re scared of, high N-count women, single mothers, and other sweeping generalizations about women’s nature. Yet, we are never allowed to bring up our fear of men being violent.

Past 40 if you are a perpetually single woman, you are seen as a loser.

You should have dated the ugliest man, who showed interest in you, you would have been treated like a queen s/.

That’s not been my experience. All of my friends and my family have lived all over. I don’t know a single person who has stayed in their hometown and never lived anywhere else.

Nah, 40 years ago the cute girl moved out of her small town, to a big city because she didn’t like her current prospects. She then dated around in NYC or LA until she found a compatible match.

My mom tried that. My dad worked for the FBI as a forensic accountant and then built his own CPA firm. He had money hidden everywhere and my mom did not get a proper settlement in the divorce. Even without a prenup, you can easily get screwed. I have seen it time and time again. Everything’s in trusts and various LLC’s that the wife can’t touch.

My mom married my dad because he had a great career and lot’s of money. He ruled the house with an iron fist, was incredibly cheap and very mentally abusive. She never had a job but she also never had peace. Hitching your wagon to someone else, is too big of a gamble. Everyone should seek the ability to take care of themselves financially.

The level of trust and love I have for my SO has resulted in the best sex I’ve experienced. Even though he wasn’t my first, he is the most special (that’s what I was trying to convey). Sorry if my initial reply was dramatic. It was right before Xmas and I was feeling a type of way.

Most people aren’t rewarded for kindness or being nice. That being said I’d still rather be a decent person. I do it for myself, not for societal reward.

I wasn’t a virgin when I met my husband but I’ve discovered so much with him. Having full trust in someone, is a game changer when it comes to sex. I’d let him do anything to me, because I love and trust him with my body. I have never given that privilege to anybody else. Also, finding out your partner has watched your favorite film multiple times is pretty cool.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/25 02:20 AM

I met my husband by hitting on him. I was at a Nurse with Wound show in London. He was the cutest guy at the show and I flashed him a giant smile. We kept staring at each other all night. After four drinks I had the balls to approach him. I found out we were both from NYC, and visiting London to see the show. We hung out every day for the rest of my trip. When we were both back in the states, we were inseparable. We have been together fifteen years and married for ten. While it was a cold approa…

They were all very handsome and put together. I think you’d have to be, to pull a younger woman. I married one of them and it’s been pretty great. We never had kids and life is still an adventure. He is my match.

When I was in my twenties I dated guys 45 to 50. But they weren’t average older men. They were either socially connected and the life of the party, or independently wealthy. They would take me on random vacations and buy me whatever I wanted. I was never mistreated and I never felt a power imbalance. The guys on here threaten women with dating younger women, but I don’t see it happening. Most of the guys on here have a boring/ reserved personality, are homebodies, make a middle class income and …

I grew up in a religious environment. The woman who were like OP described did get abused or cheated on. It’s a fate I wouldn’t wish on any woman. Well behaved women always seem to get the short end of the stick. It doesn’t seem worth it to me.

I think if misogynists didn’t take their hatred out on women, it wouldn’t be seen as bas as it is. Women tend to turn the knives on themselves, and men tend to turn the knives on others. But I agree, hating a group for just existing is not cool.

Every guy I’ve ever dated was in my friend’s circle or in proximity of it. Internet dating never worked for me, and I think it’s because subconsciously I didn’t want to date a stranger.

I felt this way too! My partner and I bonded over our love of Mike Leigh and Tony Richardson films. Park Chan-wook is great, I loved The Vengeance Trilogy and finally watched Handmaiden and Decision to Leave.

Coil too. I love early industrial music. Again, it definitely shaped what I am attracted to.

I got called low value because I said my husband was on the femme side. I grew up listening to post punk/brit pop/Throbbing Gristle, Marc Bolin, and it shaped my taste in men. I like slender dudes, with a fun sense of dress style, that are artistic. I have never been into bros or overt masculinity. Red pill guys can’t even grasp the concept because they are obsessed with hierarchy and ridged gender roles.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/25 09:41 PM

I agree! But I don’t think that’s what OP is looking for.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/25 12:43 AM

I am half Filipino. When I visit my family in the Philippines, all the girls call the passport bros- Losers Back Home. They’d much rather date men of their own ethnicity. The only women willing to date foreigners are the single moms and sex workers. Women from all over understand passport bros M.O
