I don't take feminists seriously when they use the word mansplaining, but than also unironically will explain men what masculinity is or should be.

Thats right we don't. That is why I don't reallly care for women who want to tell me what they think of ny masculinity. You don't have to like it, just because you call yourself a feminist doesn't mean you are some authority. I don't need your validation, I just am who I am.

It will be hard, but there are chances, also the feminist movement has been build over decades.

Can we than also state that wearing make-up, being overly-agreeable and cooking are traits of perfornative femininity?

I also believe it is strategically better for men to work on their own iniative/movement, than to join a women's movement. I also believe that at the end of the day, feminism needs men more than the other way around. So instead of pointing our energy towards feminism and criticizing them for their ways, it is better to invest that energy into building something for our own. If we succeed than society will notice and feminism needs to adapt. This dynamic we are in now keeps men stuck, so I agree …

Age of consent at 14 is absolutely insane. I honestly thought it was basicly the same everywhere.

Feminists must really love this because they want equal oppurtinities for women and they want equal treatment. Good to see that Latvia is breaking the glass cealing for the battlefield.

What I think is annoying about the typical feminist is how they talk about men and not really with men. All the assumptions and questions women are asking each other instead of asking us. But also all the generalizations and overdramatization of everything feminist. I am just unwilling to deal with it. Feminists don't like the idea of mansplaining, in that same regard I don't need a woman to tell me what masculinity is or should be. I do not really care too much about the words feminists use, I …

I don't agree. But if so women can set an example by rejecting femininity first.

What some people don't really seem to understand is that a lot of men do not really need to be saved from their masculinity. I don't feel much of an urge to go genderbend or whatever. I am a man, so for me, it makes perfect sense to present myself in that way.

By normalizing this mindset, if more men would spread this idea Talk about it, set an example etc. There plenty of campaigbs aimed at changing a mens behaviour. It can also change in this way

I don't care about calling women girls, since men are also reffered to as boys quite a lot. But I dislike the idea that I need to think for a woman instead of her being straightforward. The dumbest thing to me is while men can still not expect women to take full responsibility for communicating what they want and what their boundaries are, at the same time we all need to believe what a bad-ass independent warriors women are. So what is it do we need to see women as strong and independent, which …

I actually worked for a website that targeted men this way. It was an internship. I didn't liked it, but I also didn't had a choice. What I realized is that the appraisal for all these women in magazines is inauthentic. Every author will say how amazing this woman looks, even when that woman isn't this type. That is because of marketing. A magazine wants to draw attention, and how can they get this? By sensationalizing the beauty of a celebrity. That's how you get readers. It is a feminist thing…

The thing about positive masculinity is that it is only positive when women call it that way. It is not men, but women who will tell a man what valuable masculinity looks like.

There are feminist narratives that are just toxic, if any of them read this they will probably call me a misogynist, but that is part of the toxicity you can't disagree with them without ''hating women''.

Wouldn't be a good idea if male feminists gave their female feminists some sort of ultimatum. Or take more responsibility for the things you say or do, or accept that we ain't joining your movement. Yes, it might hurt women if support is declining, but that way it is a choice that they made themselves. By constantly apologizing for not agreeing with a feminist, men are only enabling this type of behaviour. Sometimes these women need to be reminded of the fact that they need us more than we need …

What I hate most are the people who say yeah, but men started wars as if that makes other men less innocent than the average woman. But that is misandry. All men guilty by association.

For me, this is reason enough to not engage in feminism. If the feminist-movement doesn't care about the mental well-being of men. Then they need to figure that out first, before they get my support. More men should speak out like this, instead of enabling this behaviour.

I asked a friend if it was okey for her boyfriend to cry. Off course, she said because she is the typical leftist liberal. However, then I asked her what do you feel when your boyfriend cries, will it have an impact on your perception or your feelings towards him. Then, she later admitted that while she consciously understands that men should be able to cry, it would still probably affect the perception that she has of her boyfriend negatively. Attraction (and respect) aren't always rational, ju…

But if there is something wrong with the idea of needing to protect women and children, what else do you suggest? That we should let our wives go out and fight? I mean, I don't like the all male draft, but at the same time I still feel like I want to protect women and children.

It is interesting that the women who will tell you that men don't have to be strong and dominant are also the ones who think it is important you as a man are taller than them. You don't have to look dominant (as long as we are not going to have something romantic) is what it really seems like.

Abortion isn't even a big deal as a medical procedure. I mean, can we still tell our daughters to visit the dentist once in a while or is this also taking away their bodily autonomy.

These are way's in which feminism is basicly telling everyone that women are weaker. 1. Portraying Women as Perpetual Victims Some critics argue that certain strands of feminism overemphasize women's victimhood in society, suggesting that: Women are always acted upon, rarely as actors themselves. Structural disadvantages are highlighted without recognizing women’s capacity to navigate, resist, or overcome them. The tone sometimes implies women need to be “protected” rather than empowered. ⚠️ Ris…

Yeah, my point easn't really clear. The things I mentioned are patriarchal. But my point is also that I believe that the feminist movement themselves present women as weak, by constantly emphasizing how they are victims of everything. I understand they are to some degree, it is not a way of dismissing what women have been gone through, however it is about the way women are being presented by the femimistmovememt. I believe at times womem are being infantalized by people who try to do good. I hav…

Why I mention height that is because a lot of women care about it in the dating market and height also correlates to strength. So when you say I don't need a man to be strong, but he still needs to be taller than me. At that point, I still get the impression that I need to be strong. What I also would like to see is that feminists apply the show don't tell principle. For example, do not tell me that it is okey for a man to cry, because talk is cheap. No, I believe it when I see you console your …

Not sure if this is true, can you elaborate on this? Yeah, I get that all kinds of men can get affected by the patriarchy, however feminists mainly talk about male issues when they can help women. It isn't really about helping men, it is more about using men to help women. Sounds a bit cynical, but I put it this way to be clear. For example. Feminists want women to feel more save. Solution: Tell men it is okey if they don't hit the gym. Feminists want more opportunities for women. Solution: Tell…

If feminists cared so much about men they wouldn't be socializing womem to become bitter misandrists. Constantly making excuses for their own behaviour is something men should stop accepting. I am not saying that it is wrong for women to be angry with men. But I believe they can do it in a more productive way than what is happening now. I don't see a reason to accept unproductive misandry from women who should be mature enough to deal with it differently. Feminists tell each other this is justif…

Yes, In ways men can benefit from feminism, but there are also way's in which they are hindered. I do not believe we get equality by only focusing on women's rights. That is a political narrative, not an objective reality. You can then say that feminism isn't responsible for male-issues, but the feminist movement is so dominant, and they preach equality when it benefits them. The problem is that they fear legitimate men's issues because giving attention to it can hinder their own political agend…

It feels that way because it is that way. I also do not really believe that feminism is for men. Can they benefit from it, sure, but you don't have to be a feminist to express emotions and stuff like that. I think many feminist talks over the experience of men. I don't want to join a group that is going to tell my what I should and what I am allowed to care about and what not. Progress would be women taking more accountability for their own behaviour, without the constant excuses. I think femini…

Can you than also tell women to not judge men on things that are seen as masculine. On one hand, men apparently need to eradicate their masculinity. But then women still reward guy's for being tall and stuff like that. Feminists should apply the show don't tell principle. Do not tell me you wish to have a more feminine men in your live, show me you want it. Also masculinity isn't inherently toxic, women aren't the one who have to tell me how to be a men.

The word misogyny lost a lot of its power. Back in the day of thought it meant hatred towards women, no it is just whatever a feminist doesn't like.

It would be great if feminist men would stop enabling this type of behaviour by constantly petting these types of women on the back. I am not going to be patient with misandry because I don't care about validation from these types of women.

Hey, man. You actually don´t have to accept the things she put you through. If you don´t want to pay for everything, she keeps expecting this, than maybe you guy´s don´t match. A book that actually gave me a lot of insight on my own behavior, relationships and how to get my needs met was the book: No more mr nice guy. I can really recommend you this book, because it gives men insights in their own limiting beliefs and coping mechanisms. But it also encourages to learn how to get their needs met …

Yeah that is the way I thought about it. The diffrence between men and women is that a women can work and a men must work. That is why you don't hear feminists complain about women not being represented in the garbage business. Women don't have to work there While some men Just need to take everything they can.
