Demography has always been the engine of war. Two causes are most prominent: imbalance of the sexes (as is currently seen in India and China, as they aborted/killed most female infants for cultural reasons; a context which could also be seen in Europe before WWI), and too many young people for not enough opportunities (generally, this leads to revolution and/or civil war if not channeled into an attack on a neighboring State, thereby granting opportunities, women, and lands to the victors and/or…

Although I am just as cynical as you are, I would still make myself an advocate for the beauty of science. The beauty of mathematics and how universal it is, as well as its application through beautiful works of code, once I was awakened to it (which wasn't a given seeing our school systems), has been for many years my primary source of joy and fulfillment. I gave up years of music to concentrate on mathematics as soon as I discovered them for what they are (not what your school makes you think …

I'd phrase it more as "to become intelligent, you must delete and recreate, you must iterate, constantly improve upon what is already there. That can only happen if you are deeply dissatisfied with the current state of your own mind and of the world."

Totally agree on the "lookism" part. Didn't have a body as a teenage creepy nerd, got it through lots of working out, lost it because of work and health issues. It's impressive the difference it makes, in the respect, the attention, etc, you get from both men and women. You'll get a lot more respect for your ideas based on the quality of your muscles than from that of your intellect... Don't underestimate how much ape-like we are as a species.

Nah man, I was raised in a leftist family (and I shed myself from that old skin), but the right is just as much (if not more) evil, idiotic, condescending bullshit. It's just really hard to see your bias on your own side of the spectrum, but I can guarantee you that *every* side is defending its own cherished dumb-as-apes ideology, and never even for the purpose of actually fixing things, rather to make the members of the tribe feel proud of themselves. But maybe let's try to speak of our mafias…

Empirical science ? This study takes the basis of the categorization it puts forward (race), shows a correlation and barely makes any claims. Certainly not claims as broad reaching as yours. Have you ever done ANY statistics ? xd Any data is supposed to be used to call into question the initial categorization, and the statistician is supposed to distinguish causation relationships from correlation relationships... I think the most heinous way men are manipulated is by saying that "If you're not ready to go through this carnival of bullshit, your social value, worse, your valor as a man, is worth less." Your value as a man is not defined by the number of women you bed. In fact, in the current context, the number of women you bed rather highlights your incapacity to measure risk, and thus an important point of intellectual/emotional deficiency.

Meh, I disagree with you. I have the same problem with those who are biased in their hatred against women, but I'd still call myself an MGTOW. I can completely distrust women when it comes to relationships (just like I wouldn't trust a male in a relationship, tbh); but I'd still have male and female friends. Welp, it's kind of difficult to defund thermodynamic input-output systems like these (from species to enterprises), they sort of have an ecosystemic resilience of their own. xd Think what it would take to kill all wasps (not that this is something you'd even want to do, these critters clean up ecosystems!). Nah man, just making trustworthy friends who understand the value of common sacrifice. Well, I'd stay on the side of caution: the dialectic method, or rather, the darwinian evolution of scientific beliefs through trial and error, can only work via falsifiability. You can never prove something as "true", only as "not false YET, because we haven't found a contradiction in it yet". What's 'true' can only be, at best, the least false of what systemic paradigms we've formalized. We have a means of iterating on our knowledge, and a means of evaluating which paradigm is better (less cont…

All Humans Are Like That.We all feed ourselves our own Ouroboros of bullshit and ego, masquerading as insight, when the norm is to blindly defend your beliefs and behavior in the face of aggression, and to overcorrect them in the face of crisis... By "predatory" I hear any form of emotional/financial/attentional/sexual leeching, even if it's light. Since women always get the kids, we don't know how it would go if the roles were reversed. Are most men actually competent and resilient and empathetic and wise enough to deal with kids when they already work 50+ hours per week ? Maybe the issue here is not a question of gender as much as a question of work, and multiple influences. If the reality is that "you need a village to raise a child", single parenthood, both male and female, could be the problem here.

I'm sorry if I sounded vitriolic: I felt the other men I was mentioning could take it and I should show my disdain for this kind of "politically childish" behavior as it is. All-in-all, I like to make use of this sub's dis…

And isn't that sad ?? I mean, as a 19 year old I would have LOVED to be told "Guess what ? Your human value isn't dependent on the number of women you fuck or how tough you are. Keep learning, keep doing things you love, get smart, and forget sex, because 99% of the time it is NOT worth it ! Your society wants to brainwash you." But I don't think the racism and violence here would have conveyed the message of "masculine spiritual independence" (that is the core of this movement) the right way to…

Thank you ! It's this "laundry list" that irks me. It's like you can't agree with the core of the movement without other members goading you to accept the racist propaganda that tends to come with it. And external people consequently associate the movement with the worst of alt-right bullshit because of the racist and misogynistic elements present on this sub. Men's rights are a appropriate issue on this sub, being a trailer-park snowflake and bitching about "dey tuk ur jeeerbs" thinking this is…

Even though this is very well put and is ideally what MGTOW stands for, the community is clearly attracting people who aren't MGTOW, just hateful. Fucking tradcucks who think they're MGTOW just because they're violently misogynistic but bring nothing to the table. I mean, even if you can justify the woman-hate posts as a "healing process", you tend to also see a lot of racism against middle eastern, black and to a lesser extent asian men on this sub, and honestly if this sub can't have compassio…

It's true that comedy can be very effective at deflection and education (my brother has this same talent). I just can't help but take the more brutal approach of teaching in a very rational way, and I like it too, it's very useful for my own mind to talk to a brick wall if nothing else. I do agree that I'll have to keep working on my comedy and maieutics for better results !

That's a mouthful, read up on it a little. If you want the "scientific philosopher's" version of symbolic interactionism, I'd advise you read "The Selfish Gene" by Richard Dawkins, as well as "The Meme Machine" by Susan Blackmore. Both are necessary reads to understand mankind, biology and society, I believe. Thank you very much for your input, I'll research the sociology version of the theme when I get the chance ! :)

I take it for the honor it is, thank you. I'll be making a few more posts next year. I'm also looking to make a video game using the history of science to teach this view of epistemology in a pedagogical way ; best way to diffuse these ideas in my opinion ! :)

Thank you ! Indeed, defining my ideas before a conversation is a very useful reflex I have taken up. The biggest problem though is that when people tell me "you can't just pick a definition like that", I have to give this whole spiel and explain how a dictionary is actually made... But you know, most of getting your point across is basically teaching your mindset, so why not.

I'm glad you find my post of quality, thank you. :) Oh yes, that guy who got harassed by SJWs fighting for the genderfluid version of orwellian Newspeak ! I've got a lot of respect for that man, and he's arbitrarily been put in a very tough position for no reason... If you can find the lecture you talked about, I'd be quite interested indeed ! I understand your qualms with my statement, and I agree I could have been clearer. To be more precise, I'd say that "the belief in the validity of our cat…

Well, for your first question, I'd tell you to look at a reply I gave recently to a guy who had just come out of one-itis. As for your second question, my personal advice would be to study mathematics ON YOUR OWN. Now listen, I used to HATE mathematics at school. It was always dry and seemed pointless. Plus, school systems have an emphasis on "calculating" rather than problem solving which is bullshit. Today, computers do the boring stuff. Mathematicians try to figure out the structure of the wo…

I'd say do your best to be eccentric. You won't be Alexander the Great or Tommy Emmanuel if you're not born in the right place at the right time and/or start working on your passion REALLY early. But there are many great men who made memorable contributions to humanity just by hard work, even if they started late. A French doctor from the end of the XIXth called Claude Bernard failed just about every exam to become a doctor of the time, but he kept going. He experimented a lot with medical techn…

I'm glad I can share this vision of democracy and that others are receptive to it. Thank you for reading. :) Another profound example on what you quoted was social housing in communist East Germany : at first they gave people some room for customization, then people started to complain about their neighbors having a blue lamp when they had a green one. In the end, the houses for the masses followed a completely identical model, from the floor boards to the fridges, for kilometers on end. Equalit…

Well we have TRP, MGTOW, herbivores... Even though the concept of "maninism" is less used, we all have a different idea of "maninism" and also squabble amongst ourselves... We just haven't gotten enough media attention for our diverse ideologies to be jumbled up into a single buzzword people use to feel like they're part of a tightly-knit group with strong unity, when it is absolutely not the case. Be wary of what you reproach women ; if we wish to better ourselves, we must not fall into the sam…

Hey, look at Sparta. You only got a grave when you died in combat or childbirth. They were thus considered equally worthy battles. Women had to train as much as men and could legally and physically beat an abusive husband, and it went both ways. Men and women both took care of kids, both boys and girls (albeit at different periods). When a society uses gender smartly and fairly you can have some pretty badass men AND women ! I'm not AWALT as much as both "the matriarchy" and "the patriarchy" hav…

Sad world we live in, that this is the most our dreamers are allowed. Not that petty dreams have no value, au contraire, their subjective worth is absolutely essential to a life full of panache. It's just not the stuff of global revolution and pivotal points in History. I personally have gone into mathematics. It is a world were heresy is universally accepted, if only because there is no "opinion" in mathematics, only proof. It becomes hard not to be humble in this context. And the beauty of mat…

Had two one-itises, one was troubled but rather kind, the other was troubled and like the one you describe (both were smart, educated and 10/10). As I lived it, one-itis is definitely a mental illness. You're already depressed, and you think this girl will fix everything. One, that is never the case. Two, you'd never be able to attract a girl with options (not that you'd want to honestly) if you yourself are not an "extremely high value male" and have your SHIT extremely tightly knit TOGETHER, a…

To paraphrase Alan Turing's ideas on consciousness : humanity is in the eyes of the beholder. How do you know that you are "human", unless other entities you consider as "humans" also consider you to be "human" ? There is no objective test for consciousness, we try to understand and define it as we go along. In addition, there are varying degrees of "consciousness" in mankind. Like "good" or "evil", it can become so hard to draw a line or give objective criteria for analysis that you can argue t…

From "meretrix", one of the only Latin words I remember, meaning prostitute/"she who earns". This word itself comes from "mereo" which also gave "merit".

People, even if unhappy with their own ways, will always defend them against opposing worldviews. It's like a natural defense mechanism. For your male friends, accepting your point of view even for a second would force them to review their own identity, and that is something most humans flee with a vengeance. Remember : we don't breed ideas, ideas breed us. Thinking you've accepted your current ideology by "personal decision", to "make yourself happy" is bullshit. The ideas saw your mind as adap…
