I'm actually in the National Guard. I got the whole "Citizen Soldier" thing going on. I'm in college, but not in ROTC. I would bet that you guys will be a close knit group though. My high school JROTC unit was pretty close and the unit I'm in now would die for each other (that's kinda the point.) The military is closer than any fraternity could ever be.

Congrats on being in ROTC. Just don't be the guy who flaunts military service to get people's attention. I know people who always bring it up in every conversation or any social gathering and it's kind of a dick move. At the same time, make it visible in some way (haircut obviously, maybe license plate.) Discrete, but still visible. Ladies seem to like a man in uniform, but not an attention whore pog. This is all very specific advice, but I think it will help with friends in general + more than …
